A new Yellow Pages just fell through my letterbox and it just struck me that you actually used to be able to look up telephone numbers in the telephone directory. I've never been able to find one for years.

Now you have to ring a directory enquiries number and pay for the information and even more if you let them connect it for you.

My God how things have improved.
