  1. “By the end” implies 1 or 2 during the loan only window. So 3 additions next week, probably 2 seven figure permanent additions!
  2. How much would shell out then? 5, 10, 20 million? I saw earlier that only 2 players got 20+ in this league last year. Do you propose we go for Vydra? Or do you think we should gamble on a lower league prospect? What would please you in terms of names brought in?
  3. I suppose the 5 (if we get them) would consist of: 1 goalkeeper, 1 centre-half, 1 winger, 2 forwards?
  4. And the main argument putting our squad with the people on here down is the lack of depth and competition!
  5. Please take a quote from what he said that fits your narrative?
  6. He also mentions “1 right at the end” which I presume means the loan window at the end of August. Sounds like we should expect at least 3 players in over the next week!
  7. Exactly. What I think has been the message and the actual truth is that we could indeed afford to buy Armstrong and pay his wages, however TM doesn’t think he is worth that. He thinks he can get a higher calibre of player for that sort of money. We’ll have to see what happens in the next 8 days!
  8. There is a very high chance we won’t be buying or loaning either Gallagher or Armstrong based on TM’s comments. I’ve just got this slim hope that we’ve kept a target very quiet and out of the media, just like Palmer.
  9. Let’s wait until the transfer window shuts before arguing about how much we have to spend. None of us have any idea, but Sharpe probably has some indication.
  10. I’d have Nsiala as a centre - half deffo. Don’t need Nolan though.
  11. Sharpe on Twitter says “they could afford the (for Armstrong) deal despite it being expensive with wages thrown in. TM thinks he can get more proven players for the same money”.
  12. It’s probably going to be next Monday at the earliest before we see any (hopefully major) incomings. Today is a players day off, tomorrow is prep for Ipswich, Friday is travelling down, Saturday the game, Sunday another day off for recovery. So unless we see any action tonight or tomorrow we should all be expecting Monday at the earliest imo.
  13. Yes. We’d much rather have a league one gem that can improve and grow into the league than a proven Championship dud.
  14. The article obviously implies we could see more than one player arrive for £1m plus. That is surely a good sign? Let’s hope TM gets the players in that we want.
  15. If the quality of player is decent then I think everybody on this MB would be delighted with that.
  16. The fact is we have absolutely no idea what we have to spend so our guessing could be under false pretences.
  17. There is no evidence that we are going to end up with nobody or loan 4 more players into the club. Mowbray said "we know we can get our D targets" in a permanent signing context so while we'd all like to get the best players possible, the chances of signing nobody are remotely slim and not worth the discussion really.
  18. I don't think that logo is very offensive at all, in fact its barely visible. More extra revenue for the club that all adds up I suppose.
  19. The man can’t win can he. Some fans are on twitter begging Rich Sharpe to see if Mowbray has said anything about signings. Other fans would rather him keep his mouth shut. And contrary to what you say, Mowbray does not mention the names of any players at all in his quotes either today or in previous interviews.
  20. Watson Ramsbottom Solicitors are the new back of shirt sponsor. Replace The Energy Check.
  21. He was talking in terms of cash (£7m mentioned) so I suspect this is about permanent signings.
  22. Mowbray said “bought” which is past tense as you well know. This implies a target has already been bought. Gallagher has not been bought.
  23. He must do if Armstrong and Chapman are D listers!
