  1. Personally, I think the new website looks top quality. It now looks like a landing page that will have content to draw you in. I think the partnership with 4000 holes is an inspired decision.

I'll echo what Glenn said earlier that over time, keeping BRFCS running for just about the 10 years I was involved eventually grinds you down and you lose the love for it.  I still remember the over-nighters trying to recover old backups as the shoe-string server had broken again.  Time moves on and family (and work commitments) became more important.  We tried to hand over the reigns a couple of times but the rewards in this business are scarce.  Safe to say, I was delighted when @StubbsUKcame along and has literally made it his own.

It really does feel good to be able to just enjoy the site again.

I am delighted that the site has now moved on and is looking stronger than it ever has with a great team with great ideas and hopefully many more to come.  Thankful to you all for the hard work I know you are putting in to this site on a daily basis.

The problem with computer game prices is that games are getting more and more expensive to produce.

So unless you're selling incredible numbers of them, you have to up the prices to make a profit.

As a consumer you just have to be discerning with which games you buy these days.

I would agree with you, but then why are PC games usually £10-£20 cheaper than the console version?

Likewise, why can an AAA game be sold in poorer regions for £10-£20 and still cost £60-£70 here?

It's more about how much the producers are able to fleece from each market rather than actual cost. Granted there are too many games constantly coming out now so for every massive game there are probably load that lose money.

Similar, back on the Rovers shirts, yes, there is some design cost (not much looking at them) but the shirts themselves are probably made for no more than £5 each in China. I would guess there is at least 50% markup on them.

The FAQs also state that a match won't live-stream on iFollow if it's being shown on an EFL partner's channel in your country of residence, and I know for a fact that this hasn't been the case here in Croatia! Rovers were on a partner TV channel few times last season, and it was still shown on iFollow. So I tend to just figure it out myself when it comes to these technicalities. Ah well..

I think iFollow is all over the place.  When I dial up to US VPN and the game is on ESPN+ iFollow doesn't show the game, which is a tad annoying.

Only if you pay the £10 on top. It won't work if you're logged in with overseas account details and connected to a UK VPN. A friend told me.

You need to close the browser, dial up to VPN and then open the browser and sign back in to iFollow.

Well, it works that way going from UK to US VPN so effectively in reverse.

That sucks. Carabao Cup games were shown last season (and previous seasons).

That's odd as the international FAQ states that Carabao cup games are excluded.  I've just been searching as I was just about to buy the season pass until I found I could not see the Donny game on the live match center.

Granted, that FAQ also says that the season ticket is still £110 so obviously not updated. Typical for this service really.

  6. So, if each season ticket holder can get their own password to the iFollow stream and you only really need one in any household, how many passwords will be sold via DM which will make up refunds for some people and stop extra money going to Waggot from non ST holders ?

Not that I would ever condone such a thing.

P.S. Rovers, if you are reading, you are idiots.

  7. Pretty much agree with your analysis.

Didn't think Alexia Bliss and Nikki Cross deserved the titles. My god Nikki Cross is annoying.

The end to the Lynch Bazler match was just crap. No way did Lynch deserve that.

The cinematic Taker v Styles match was cool, but my god did it make Styles look weak.

Really enjoyed the Rollins Vs Owens match. Had a great twist and ending.

    Corbin Vs Elias - meh!

Ladder match, pretty much same formulaic routine as every ladder match in recent years. No really big moves, same shite of everyone going up the ladders together.

As per all PPV, too much filler but even more for this one, just to make it "Too big for one night"

Still, think they've done a pretty decent job with the restrictions they've had and no crowd.

  8. I binged watched this on the day it was released.  Really enjoyed it as the light drama it was. Fell asleep during the middle parts with the rioting.  Wish it had been a bit more factually correct and the football scenes were appalling.  I think Escape to Victory had better action.

I think it is getting unfair reviews in most media.  It passed the time quickly enough.

Also, appreciating the posts on here which have filled in some of the back story.

The crackdown has already started. I notice the VPN I sometimes use is stopping it's free service in a few weeks. Also this very same VPN stopped working on several sites this year. BBC etc. started blocking VPN's a while back too.

    Total control is coming....

It's funny though, the more they shut down access from paying customers via VPN, the more it pushes people toward pirated streams where the clubs make no money at all.

  10. I can't believe how loose the rights are that get this blocked even in other international regions.  So just as this is on TV in Serbia etc, it gets blocked from EU regions.  Utter nonsense.  Well screw you iFollow, I've found a perfectly good free bein stream with English commentary.  I would have paid for iFollow if it hadn't applied utterly stupid restrictions.
