  1. I would also guess that you would have to be connected to a VPN when you are streaming the match.  This could have one of two effects.

    1. If you are using a free VPN, the chances are that it will be VERY slow which means the picture might either be crap or buffer a lot.

    2. If you are using a paid VPN, you may have to pay quite a bit to have unlimited traffic as a video stream over 46 games would be quite a lot.  For example TunnelBear would set up back a further $9.99 per month or $59.88 paid upfront.

The part that still concerns me is if they let you pay for the year and then block you later for using a UK based payment.

Can you post a screenshot showing where the paypal option is (obviously cover up any personal details)

Registered for the free account, went to my account and it gave me the option to upgrade , then said I need to update my billing details which I can not do without entering a credit card - no paypal option anywhere

Once you've signed in, go back to the drop down menu for ifollow and choose subscribe from there. It appears if you choose to subscribe from your account details page, it tries to use a credit card on file.

No email back from efl yet but I logged on, hit subscribe and given CC and Paypal payment options.

CC requires a billing address BUT Paypal does not.

note: iFollow video or live stream will not work on an Android browser. The Android app is needed but not available yet.

Odd, not given PayPal option here (VPN via France). Only Visa, Mastercard or AMEX.

    Suggestion:

Register via a VPN a 'Free Pass' account with iFollow via the Rovers site. Download the App when it's issued and test it on the videos that such access gives.

Personally I think your IP address is the important factor not where your card is.

iFollow want new subscribers. The investment into this project is huge.

Perth - can you pay by Paypal?

Doesn't the Free Pass give the same access at home or abroad though?

I can't see how they can do anything about the VPN issue. The Chinese government can't do anything effective to stop citizens using VPN, so I think the EFL/club is not going to have much hope.

I was more meaning the fact you seem to have to pay by credit card and therefore need to provide your billing address.  Therefore, us in the UK would have to supply our UK address which *could* theoretically get us blocked from the service (if they put the effort in)

Ultimately they must have decided that its worth the risk. To be honest for circa £10 a month even fans who go to all the home games will probably pay this on top.

Definitely,  worth it just for the away games.

I'm hoping they let the VPN issue slide as this is the best move to actually engage fans would like to see their team and its rare (unless you are Leeds) to be on in the Championship let alone League 1 and 2.

  7. Ah. I've now watched episodes 12 and 13 and now it all becomes clear. I now feel a little guilty for doubting her.

I wonder if season 2 is going to now focus on the other sides of the stories.  They all mentioned that she wasn't 100% telling the truth and that is evident from the note that Zach kept and didn't throw away. Also, I guess it might focus on what happened to Alex, I don't think he shot himself as the photographer guy had an "Alex" flashback before taking his photo down.

Guess I'll be watching season 2 when that comes now!

I enjoyed it but same as you I felt Hannah was pretty awful at times, Zach was a nice chap.

I watched episodes 10 and 11 last night.  10 was woeful with a pointless story line about the stop sign.  Who in their right minds would have ever reported knocking that down let alone fretting about it so much.  Also, if it had been reported, the other incident would still have happened in that short space of time. The only good thing about episode 10 was the set up to episode 11 which is FINALLY Clay's story...

However Clay's story is a damp squib of an non-event.

I hope Eps 12 and 13 wrap it all up nicely.  However I now have my doubts as I see it's been renewed for season 2 and Hannah might even be back in it. WTF?

I needed a new series so I started watching 'The Walking Dead'. By and large it's been good so far (just finished series 3 episode 5). I'll see how it plays out.

Fargo season 3 has come back on Channel 4, that's been very good so far! There's one left of this season of 'Better Call Saul' (Breaking Bad prequel), which I've ultimately enjoyed, though I felt this season had a slow start!

I've only just finished season 2 of Fargo which was great but the UFO was just nonsense.

Episode 8 explains whyou you think she's just a drama queen (I was the same). Keep at it, it's the escalation of it all.

Though quite why she never talked to anybody about it earlier is beyond me.

Yeah, everything so far has been petty little things and she was a right bitch (I thought) to Zach.

As you say, she so far hasn't talked to anyone and seems to have a good relationship with her parents.

    It is compulsive viewing though.

  11. That sounds like a fantastic cinema Paul.  I'm glad some have started to differentiate as the boring Vue/Showcase/Odeon types are just expensive with no unique selling point.

And as for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, I really enjoyed it, I just felt it was missing something but I can't put my finger on it.  Think I will need to watch it again.

As I loved the book, this has been very much on my radar, but I've been waiting for feedback before I start watching as I'd hate for it to suck. Similarly with the new Twin Peaks series and forthcoming Ready Play One film. If they can't do them well, I'd rather their left well alone

I've not read the book so had no idea what to expect. I'm still going back to carry on watching and as odd as it is, I kept having to start the next episode as the end of each episode makes you want to know more.

    Has anybody tried Civilization VI?

I've got Civilization V and found it really good. I also bought Beyond Earth when it was on offer, but really didn't get into it.

At £50 on Steam, Civ VI is far too much for what I'm happy to pay for it, but it's on offer at £34 until next Thursday. I'm contemplating buying it, although I still think it's quite pricey. I've seen many reviews give the AI a bashing, and I'm not convinced that AI has ever been Civ's strong point!

    Any thoughts, anyone?

I've liked all the Civ games over time, some more than others.  My Dad prefers Civ IV over Civ 5.

Personally, I'll wait until it's £5 or in a Humble Bundle like the rest have been recently.

To be perfectly honest, I'm surprised that the internet has been allowed to remain as 'free' as it has for this long. We're still in a position now where you can go to google, type in an album or song and usually find a link to download it for free within moments. ISP's have started to combat this by blocking torrent sites, but that's still a flawed and incomplete tactic.

I expect that in the next ten years we will see a much more regulated internet in the UK. Possibly a selection of portals and specific websites that you pay to have access to, as opposed to the entire internet. I'm sure I remember reading about this being in the works a few years ago, but then it died down. Ultimately that is the only way the Government will be able to get a firm grip on how people use the internet, as the current tactic of blocking websites and scaremongering can only ever have a limited effect.

Some will say that the people wouldn't stand for that, but they will. There might be a few protests, but once that dies down we will all accept it as the norm and start to forget what this period of the internet was like.

Wow, that sounds like China. (and even they can't stop people breaking through the "Great Firewall of China")
