  1. Let him back and start him own thread,if he floods other threads and if he breakes any rules ban him again or floods

Freedom of speech must be allowed

Fine by me as long as people dont quote him like i have you. I dont want to read the crap that he writes so I would put him on ignore (and I havnt read his rant just the reaction as I wanted to know if he was being allowed back)

  2. SM taken from the BBC

"But it was a performance of character. We looked like a team, were comfortable defensively and created chances.

"It's probably our best performance over 90 minutes and it should restore some confidence."

He must have been watching a different match to me. It was a negative slow tempo game. Play against a team who are fully up for it and we will get beat.

  3. I really don't see how we can not play Mokoena, he is the only midfield tackler we have. There is an argument that Zurab, Ooijer and Neill could all step into the holding role but noneofthem are tested there apart from Zurab who did a little stint for Rangers in that position. Maybe Tugay4England or Radagast could give us insight to how he played there.

As I put on the Villa thread I would say far and away the best option is to switch to 451. We know Moko excels in such a formation and I think it is set up well to make the most of players like Bentley, Emerton and Gallagher. When we are away it would be sensible to stick to it until we get either Reid or Savage back.

I like that idea. A lot actually. Just not sure how good Benni would be playing on his own up frount. MGP and Bently/Gally (whoever is on the right) will really have to push up to support him

  4. So how are people doing when playing with the Rovers and who are you playing. I have found I am very inconsistant. Ill go on a 5 game winning run before losing the next 5. Then ill start winning again. Same players, roughly the same formation (just little changes depending on who I am playing).

    Generally Play

    --------BF--------

LN---RN----ZK---Lee Yong Peo (or simular signed off tot)

    DB---T-----RS---MGP

    ------BM---SN-------

    ----

SR has been injured most of the season and I now use him as a sub for 1 of the midfielders. Tugay is my best performer by a mile. He has a free role and full creative freedom. Sets up a lot of goals. I am 8th in the League and got knocked out of UEFA in the group stages by 1 point. Out of both cups. Got Chelsea and Arsenal our 1st round draws.

  5. One last gripe would be their goal keeper who kept stealing yards with every offside and did crap goal kicks,

Yeah I think the whole BBE agrees with you. My brother who watched this on TV said that the commentators (Sherwood and Dickov) apparently said something along the lines of "Their keeper out of order doing that to the fans". Dont know what this would be or even if my bro wasnt hearing things. Anyone any ideas?

  6. Gamst (lft mdf) Tugs (lft ctr mdf) Bentley (rgh ctr mdf) Gally (rgt mdf)

I would go with this. I like peter but dont think he would sit well in the centre. And MGP showed signs of getting his confidence back yesterday. Not a great performance but a good one (discounting the first half). A couple of good crosses, trying and succeding in beating his man and above all him trying to get on the score sheet and getting in to good positions. I think he may have turned the corner

  7. I love it the way he goes to the furthest touchline when he knows he's about to be subbed to waste as much time as possible. Then he shakes hands with everyone on the pitch while ambling off!!

It'll be a sad sad day when he's a Rover no more, one of my favourite players of all time.

Yeah great aint it. He even had the cheek to check his studs about 5m away from the touchline.

  8. gray has to be dropped, 2 shocking performances and was taken to the cleaners lastnight, give jay his chance.

Agree completely. I worried everytime he got the ball and he showed very little going forward which is meant to be one of his strengths (he did get forward a bit once we were comfortable but looked lacking in ideas once there). He never seemed to be able to see a pass forward. I would definatly get J in the team. He is young and could improve vastly if given a run. He also gives us more hight in defensive. Gray is a target for any team looking to play direct balls over the top. Grey has to play to his best to be considered OK. He didnt play bad last night but for me he is just not good enough.

  9. Why do you have such a problem with black people? Benni is our best player and top scorer and you think Gally and Jeffers are better. I was happy they did well when they came on, but they aren't better than Champions League winner Benni

    :lol::wstu:

I think he means for Gally or Jeffers to partner Benni. If not he must support Villa. I think all would agree they have been impressive but they are not as good as Benni. Have to say Jeffers has definatly suprised me, well done MH.

  10. When was the last time we looked like we might possibly get an attempt on goal from a corner, why is it that the second West Ham got that second half corner I knew they'd get a player free on goal to score a simple goal ?

Zurab got an unmarked header against West Ham. Just a tiny bit to high. Also wasnt Neill's effort after a corner? (not sure on the second one). We are quite dangerous at corners. Teams know that and pull as many people back as possible. How many teams leave two upfront against us at corners?

  11. I'm just saying that if you go into Rotterdam the risk that you get in trouble isn't higher than if you stay in Amsterdam. That's all *&^** from the police.

Last year a bloke from Middlesbrough got stabbed in Amsterdam. His team was playing in Alkmaar against AZ but he and his mate didn't have tickets so they stayed in Amsterdam. He got into a fight over drugs and died. (just check Google)

Hasn't got anything to do with Middlesbrough, AZ or football in the first place. So with that experience in mind, we could also say that Amsterdam is a dangerous place?

I think Amsterdam is quite a dangerous place. However that might be because when I stayed there (for about 1 month) Theo van Gogh was killed. Wasnt a good time to be there. However even taking that away. Although safe during the day, I wouldnt called the RLD there safe at night. You ask for trouble there you will certainly get it.

  12. I may be accused of racism here but this dolloper is a prime example of white trailer trash.

Thats not racism in my book, your not saying all white folk are this here. Its the same as saying the people who did the London bombings are examples of Islamic Extremists. Both are perfectly true. I didnt go to Krakow game but did notice simular things at the Salsburg game and left the Irish pub when they started singing "No Surrender". I think its going to be worse at the Feyenoord game which I am going to due to the number of people going simply because its in Amsterdam and arnt really footy fans. I am starting to wish they had only given us 1000 tickets and so only people who have previously travelled and/or are season ticket holders will go. Then again that was the case for Krakow and we still got these assholes there. If we could get all like minded people to start booing when they sing these songs in the stadium it might help? How many people on this site would be bold enough to join me in that?

  13. I'm going to be in Manchester this afternoon so (this may seem like a daft question) but does anybody know a bar or pub on or near Oxford Road that will almost definately show the game (preferably on a nice big screen)?

p.s. I'm feeling positive and think we'll win 2-1. McCarthy and Nonda with the goals.

I work on oxford road and will be stuck in the office during the game so can watch the game :( . But You might stand a chance at the Gallery. If you head down the side of the BBC (left hand side as you look at it) its down there. Shouldnt be to busy so if you ask I think they will put it on. Otherwise head down oxford road towards st peters square and there is a couple on there that might show it. Cant give you any definates though
