  1. THe main positive from this game was that at least we don't have to watch Everton every week - they are absolute dross, which actually makes losing to them even worse.

Even when rovers had 10 men they couldnt put a string of passes together. The one time they did and their fans were cheering each pass - until they passed it out of play! Whereas Rovers had been passing it about all game - admitedly without a cutting edge.

I think that we missed Sav's energy in the middle - im not sure what Reid brings to the team - -I think Sav/Tugay would be a better balance or even TheAxe/Tugay.

Also how many times did Halsey get in the way of Rovers?? dont think Ive seen a ref get in the way as many times.

  2. It's those 15,000 who have a big-club mentality.  They only want to be associated with success.

I don't think that many on this board would ever say that rovers are a 'big' club - but we will prob be the only 'town' team to ever win the PL. And those that do still turn up are treated to a feast of good football - we have not been called 'the Chelsea of the North' for nothing.

  3. Had a quick look at the City forum - found a quote that really sums up the City 'big club' fans mentality:

"--I think my dislike of Blackburn falls in to the category of 'Poor lancashire teams that think they're good.'---"

Mind the windows in your glass house mate. ph34r.gif

Translated to me:- " Dislike of Blackburn falls into the category of 'They've won something in the last 20 years' and we haven't "

  4. At least we're favourites to win one league this year - the bad boys league.

I'm guessing that Hughsie isn't banking on getting into Europe through the fair play award...

Anyway, im sure that some of the relegated teams last year wish they had put the boot in a few more times if it were to keep them up - i think norwich were near the top of the fair play league

  5. **To everyone who has managed to get a ticket to the Burnley game**

    Here's the story...

I am working in USA this week (typical) and realised I would have to ring up this morning for tickets.

The alarm clock was set for 4am (time over here!) 9am UK

I rang at around 4.10am - got in the queue in 7th place

Then i realised if every person in front of me took 3mins (lowest estimate),

the phone call would last at least 21mins at 3 quid a minute thats over 60 pounds for the call - and i only wanted 2 tickets!

So hung up and rang back two hours later - but the woman on the line putting on a fake posh voice said it was sold out - gutted!!

    Cheers

  6. Of course we dicked Bumley 5-0 in the return fixture but nothing will outlive Uncle Jack's Blue n White Army's day out at the DingleDome.

Absolutely bob on - the away game was better than the home game.

It was an unbelievable atmosphere - when the man bent scored -

"Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way...!" amazing.

Anyone remember when that guy ran on the pitch and us rovers fans

signing- DINGLE, DINGLE, DINGLE at him that still makes me laugh!

  7. Dickov - worst alltime Rovers player !!

Are you having a laugh! blink.gif

The man is a legend in the full sense of the word.

He has been worthy of our Man of the Match in pretty much every rovers game this season.

If all our players had his desire to win then we would be much higher in the league.

Pound for pound he's probably the toughest modern day rovers player. If he had better finishing abilities he would be a world class player( and prob won't be playing for us).

Give the wee man some Respect.!!

  8. If Andy Todd has fallen out with Souness for good

im sure they would love him back at Burnleh for player/manager!

(Although i hope he makes up with souey)

    Burnley 0 - Rovers 2

-Best game ive ever been to for atmosphere.

'Dingle bells, dingle bells...' and the rest after Bentys goal

  9. It came to me the other night when watching tv with Jeremy Beable on it - a new song to cheer the best keeper in the world...

(to the tune of Beables About..)

    Watch out, Freidal's about

    Watch out, Freidal's about

    You better watch out...

    'COS FREIDALS ABOUT!!!
