  1. I think he was annoyed at the ref at not giving him a foul because I think he thought he got kicked, throwing the armband was just frustration.

I think when hughsie asked him why he did it it looked like (lip-reading) he said ''he kicked me'' then he shook he head at the ref.

  2. I don't actually think we've been that bad lately -

POMPEY away - draw - Harry Redknapp says it was their 'best performance of the season'

LIVERPOOL home - bad decision by linesman ruined the game, we had all the possession, but couldnt break them down - liverpool are one of the best in europe at holding a lead.

BIRMINGHAM - we had all the possession again, their keeper's made some amazing saves. They had two breaks and score both.

Maybe we're just due a bit of a break in front of goal

  3. Does anyone who watched Sky know how the heck Alonso won MOTM?

He's one of my favourite non-rovers players usually but he was dross today, reid was the boss in the middle.

Plus jusyt watched sky's coverage, they only mention rover's having a right to be upset once - if it had been chelsea the game would prob be replayed and that linesman would be tied up in the back of a skoda somewhere in Russia!

  4. I dont think we were all that bad today - the last 2 games have been tough because the teams we have been playing (wigan and pompey) were well up for it. At least weve not lost.

Its just a bit concerning that our defence seems to struggle against quick 'smash and grab' sides like West Ham, Wigan and Pompey.

I would think that Hughes and the staff wouldve seen this by now and at least tried to change it slightly becuase we were all over the place.

    Bellamy is world class!!

  5. Great night - I got a lift but remember seeing 100s of Rovers coaches on the M62 on the way back.

I was sat next to the steps - so when Rovers scored I legged it down to the front (reflex reaction) and lost the people I went with.

Andy Cole songs were great that night.

The return leg was funny too as I took some Wednesday fans I knew at Uni at the time. They spent the second half drinking under the stand as they couldnt watch Wednesday lose.

  6. In the end a point was good for Rovers - however bar a superb save from Filan (Bellamy shot) we would've got all 3 points.

    - The linesman on the Walkersteel side was AWFUL. I can't remember any decisions he got right. How much do these guys get paid? He should be fined if Jewel is going to be.

    - Sav played well as did Reidy.

    - Goes without saying that Nelson was immense.

    - I think that Zurab did ok with Roberts he is a real handful and apart from the goal was kept quite quiet.

    - If that MGP goal had been allowed I think we'd have comfortably won the game so Jewel is lucky that they had one goal allowed before us.

    - Pongole back in next game for me.

  7. I really couldn't care less whether the Wigan fans fill the Darwen end or come in a taxi as long as we get the 3 points!

    My thoughts exactly...

Plus does anyone else think that Lawro is just predicting rovers bad results for a laugh now? It seems too many times where he makes baffling predictions about us (and Bolton). Its amazing. Supprised he hasnt jumped on the Rovers bandwagon again.

  8. I was talking about local pubs showing matches on foreign tv channels with my mate (bolton fan (!) ) but he says that in bolton a lot of the local pubs put on coaches to /from the Reebok.

Possibly if the club laid on some form of transport from various areas of blackburn this could reduce the umber of people watching home matches in the pub.

  9. I rate Lennon, but am not convinced by Ferdinand Jnr - he was at fault for a couple of the goals against us in the league at ewood and may be good in the future but now is just getting hyped-up because he's Rio's brother.

BTW - how many relations does rio seem to have Im sure there;s about 10 of his 'cousins' or uncles playing the lower leagues.

  10. Anyone seen Lawro's prediction on BBC?

He's called it 1 - 1. (that fence must hurt.)

But he says something about us having to win if we're

''going to have an outside chance of a UEFA place"

Hang on a minute - if results go our way we could be 5th after tomorrow? I'd say that we had more of an outside chance??

How much does lawro get paid to write 2 paragraphs of nonsense every week??

  11. I've voted to get rid of them - I would be in favour of some type of drummer - but toned down slightly and less of a leader of the songs but just to join in with the singing once songs are underway. This may be asking a lot...

My only other question was how are the feelings of fans towards the drummer going to be put into action by the club.

Im thinking that although the club introduced the drummers without asking anyone, that they won't as easily remove them.

  12. Yeah agreed that Tugay shoud've come on earlier.

Maybe Hughes shouldve sacrificed a defender - I mean, they finished with NO STRIKERS on the pitch yet we had 4 defenders. Brad couldve stayed up front.

Everton are the worst team in the league (bar Sunderland). I thought that when they beat us at Ewood and still believe it after seeing the game on sat. I can remember them putting more than 3 passes together.

The pitch is hard and cut really short to maximise the bobble for teams like rovers who try to pass it on the floor.

    Artete is a cheat.
