  1. bit of an overstatement there Amarillo, the 1st one was an awful film (and an embarrassingly awful starwars film) no argument, the 2nd and 3rd where decent sc-fi/fantasy/action films, but they weren't any where near as good as the original trilogy(but how many films in that genre are!)

  2. I find seasons of boardwalk empire always start a little plodding, but get much much better around episodes 5/6

personally I think there's only Mad men that's in the same 5star league as Breaking Bad, very different types of shows but both great in every department(acting, writing, style, plot, originality)

  3. Breaking Bad was remarkable from episode one right through to the finale

One of the best series I have ever watched

I am worried though, Hank never went back for Huell which means he is still sat waiting for him

    hahaha

I really hope Huell has a part in the currently being developed Saul Goodman spin-off show, the shows going to be a prequel apparently, set before breaking bad, its being made Vince Gilligan so should be good(but I think it will be lighter in tone than Breaking Bad)

  4. Last breaking bad tonight. Devastated.

Dexter finale was kean. Hoping for better.

dexter finale was totally forgettable, which is a shame(but if im being honest that's no different than its last 3-4 seasons)

if just got the final to eps of breaking bad to go and as ever that show still just gets better every episode, the 1st 6 eps of this final run have been the most tense episodes of any show ever, nothing even comes close to it , easily the greatest show ever and probably better than most films from the last 30 years or so imo(and ive watched a lot of shows&films!)

  5. Terrible film : you can bathe a corpse in groovy light and dress it in an expensive suit, but in the end that rotting smell just won't go away.

well that's your opinion(means squat to me though) It wasn't great but it was good and original, it was never likely to be liked by a broad audience range, I enjoyed it though, im a huge david lynch fan and this film was as close to a lynch film that i've seen for a long while and it was also dedicated to Alejandro Jodorowsky(now he did make a few crazy ass films).

  6. Ok just do what you like on the roads then and throw away the highway code, But don't complain if you get stick from drivers for being a dangerous nuisance.

(and I was mainly referring to cycle paths in Blackburn, that seem to go unused by cyclists because they would just slow them down a little)

p.s on average the vast majority of drivers are good cautious and safe, where as id say at least 40-50% of cyclists just couldn't give a toss about anybody else on the roads other than themselves.

  7. Just got four tickets to see Bob Dylan at Blackpool Opera House!!!!! Excited is not the word. A tiny venue so should be a very intimate atmosphere. Cannot wait for this one. Absolutely amazed I got tickets.

Springsteen next Thursday, Dylan in six months time. What a year

    Well jell!

Id love to see dylan live and his latest album was really good(the lennon song is great and theres even a 10+ minute song telling of the sinking of the titanic!), hes still a great song writer even if his voice is on its last legs.

  8. I went to watch man of steel this morning, I really liked it, but it wont be for everyone, think Terrance Mallick and Michael Bays lovechild(with Chris Nolan as the surrogate host!)

probably the 2nd best superhero movie i've seen(and ive seen most) after the dark knight.

I didn't bother with 3d and I wouldn't advise anybody to see it in 3d(as its just a post conversion) it looked stunning In two'd!(as Kermode would say)

  9. Cheerd for the big effin star trek 2 spoiler maj :(

I was hoping to catch it this week.(nevermind, im more of a starwars fan anyway)

P.s. My gues as to how thrones ends without kniwing anything of the books, is that all the families will die one way or another and their world/civilisation as it is will come to an end.

  10. No, I haven't read any of the books and know nothing of how the story unfolds in them, so my perception of the show is much more enjoyable and less biased the yours.

and I meant there supposed to be pretty averagely written, R.R.Martin isn't exactly in the same league as J.R.R. Tolkien(but then who is I suppose)
