You say that lots of people have left this website, but then, it’s probably never been busier, so those that left, have been replaced to be fair.
Perception is a strange old thing.
That doesn't refute my point that lots of people left though, does it? Also, good use of the word "probably."
The site is "probably" nowhere near as good as it used to be.
Perception is a strange old thing.

You're not going anywhere!
I remember when I used to enjoy reading the forum. Now I just go through the reported content ticking things off, reply to messages and try and find ways to give people more chances. It's not as fun as it sounds.
The "Messageboard Gold" section is made up of content principally contributed over a decade ago. A lot to be learnt by reading some of those threads. No idea what the moderation is like nowadays as I don't contribute, but it was undoubtedly the main reason why the vast majority of people left this website. It was personal, petty and largely unnecessary.
The messageboard has never fully recovered from that.

Duff was going whether Souness wanted him or not to be fair.
I've commented on this many times. Duff would have stayed if we matched Chelsea's £60k a week. Souness told him Rovers wanted the money to improve the squad as a whole...

The whole transfer was a con. Turns up with a big fee and wages, with Souness' favourite agent (Mr. McKay). Then he pretends to be homesick for his crappy part of Scotland within a year so he moves back to Rangers for a similar amount, probably with the same agent.Barry gets a share of the fee, as does McKay and probably Souness too.
I love a good conspiracy theory, but nah, I'm not having this one. Souness sold Duff in order to buy Ferguson, which in turn was suicide for his reign here. You think he sacrificed himself for a few bob?

Anyone seen the footage of McGregor sparring with the number 11 boxer in the IBF rankings?
This is all a money grab for sure, with back patting all around afterwards.
He doesn't have a cat in hell's chance.

Yes, sadly the predictions proved to be correct.
Konta put up a good fight, hopefully she can continue this level of progress and 12 months down the line she could be in a position to win it.
Serena will be back, and normal service will be resumed!

Well, looks like you guys predicting Williams would be too strong for Konta were correct! She put up a good fight though.
I disagree. The only time she came from behind the baseline was for the changeovers. Grass is for aggression, which is why over the years the big hitters generally win at Wimbledon.
Really hoping Federer can go on and create history now, but will have to go two big servers to do it. He is obviously more than capable, but if one of those guys have a day where every service match is golden, it's hard to find a way through and you're relying on tie breakers.

Must confess my cynicism has turned to excitement after the recent buildup. McGregor is in the Steve Kean League of cracking pressers.
I'm probably incredibly fickle and stupid, but he's almost got me believing he can pull it off.
Surely not...

Hoping for Federer/ Konta winning combo this year. Got a sneaky feeling Venus might have her though.

You might want to edit this post. His mate was found not guilty.
Quite right Stupot, just spoke to my lawyer!!
"A man I was unaware breathed oxygen until roughly one week ago, when I read about him standing in a corner masturbating both sensually and heroically whilst his mate had fully consensual Adonis esque sex with a fully conscious and frankly grateful young woman."

Oh yes boys, Bradley Dack!
A man I was unaware breathed oxygen until roughly one week ago, when I read about him standing in a corner tossing off whilst his mate RECITED OLD TALES ABOUT LAW SCHOOL.
Sounds like he takes a good corner though (something that correlates with his bedroom misdemeanours!).
Top 6 in League one is looking like a distinct possibility, can't wait to see some "proper tackles" next season.
Erm, no Bradley, not what I meant. Put it away mate..

It's a boxing contest, so yes. He's already said it will be his '50th and last professional fight'
I suspect his record will always say "50-0*".
-
Will it even go on his record?

A bit of a mimic none event in my opinion. Has happened a few times down the years and none of the fights have any historical significance.
No doubt Sky Sports will spend the next two months telling us different though. Surely under boxing rules Mayweather will win with ease. He could just jab his way to victory.

Alan Mahon?
I was more thinking Gordon Cowans or even Sparky...
I see your Sparky and raise you a John Curtis.

On the surface seems like a good signing, although that will be etched on the gravestones of many a recent signing.
Could be an Alan Mahon, could be a Danny Murphy.
EIEIEIO indeed.

You mean it's not sold out? Even after several years on sale.
I thought decent concerts sold out in 5 minutes these days.
Blackburn is no more the epicentre of popular music.

Is Dunn a fan's favourite? I think the bloke is a waster.

You couldn't begrudge Bowyer a promotion Stu!!
Could be out next gaffer if Mowbray walks...

Anyone seen Mowbray's post match interview? Rumour that he will consider his future?
I think he'd be daft not to. He's performed very well and without assurances that he'll be backed financially, he'll fancy his chances of getting a better job.
-
Can only applaud Mowbray. Desperately hope he stays on, he's just run out of games unfortunately.

Turns out he has a potentially deadly virus? Hoping he makes a full recovery.
Nicky Marker and Ben Thornley

Pretty sad that such a shithouse player ended such a promising career.
Growing up I remember Thornley being spoken about by a lot by United fans but I presumed he just wasn't good enough. Didn't realise it was an injury that stopped him reaching his potential.
