  1. The drinking culture prevelant at our club is disgraceful and totally unprofessional. Respect needs to be earnt, as do salaries. Givet, Goodwillie, Hendry and Kean to name a few. Who else that we do not know about?
  2. If Goodwillie is the answer then I am not sure what the question is. When pointing the finger, it is worth remembering that three fingers point straight back at you. Maybe watching his diet, getting 100% fit and avoiding late night brawls would have done his chances more good at the Rovers. When you think of the great strikers we have enjoyed watching at Rovers this last decade or so, to be lumbered with this classless fool is testimony to where the club is up to at this time, downsizing quality in all areas. Let him go, he won't be missed.
  3. Teams can easily by pass our midfield if required and place pressure on our defenders. After lasts seasons horror at the back I would have thought re-inforcing the defence would be our first priority. Maybe the Keanious knows better or perhaps someone has told him the strikers at this level are pish.
  4. Cheers Ozz. Good memories as I attended two of those games.
  5. Chris Thompson played 100 times for the Rovers scoring 26 goals (rovers.co.uk). Other sites have him as playing less games at 85, but still scoring 24 goals. Thommo was Garner's strike partner between 83 and 86. Never prolific, but ran the channels well, played with his back to goal up against the centre halves and won the flick on's for Garner, chipping in with some useful goals along the way. He played at a time when we were proud of the club and its players although expectations, finances and crowds were relatively low. R.I.P Chris Thompson. We were proud of you.
  6. I am very sorry to hear this. Also lost a good friend recently who was only 42 years of age. My thoughts go out to Gary's family and friends. 38 is no age at all.
