I know programmes notes are propaganda and probably not written by the manager anyway, but I have to be worries if GS really believes what he said in the WBA issue that this is the best squad of players he has had since he came to the club. It's almost empirically possible to disprove that. Surely the Duff, Dunn (when fit), Cole and Jansen (pre Lambretta) squad was considerably better.

I think the outcome on Saturday is some kind of spooky Karma for us nicking their best players in the last decade (Shearer, Flowers).
