  1. Well done American.

I finally managed to get through this morning, after finding the secret is to set your cookie settings to 'allow all'

I am a bit gutted because I have had better tickets waiting to be purchased and received error 403 in the past.

Anyway, I've got myself a Ghana v USA

And 3 x Poland v Costa Rica for me and the lads.

  2. Did anyone get lucky on the conditional tickets? I've completely ballsed it up by waiting until now to submit it, and looking through the list there appears to be four games left with tickets, i thought it would be the same as the first period were nothing is processed until the deadline date, but obviously not.

  3. I cannot for one minute understand how you have managed to get 6 tickets in that last phase, but fair play.

I've noticed theres a new conditional phase just opened, does anyone know what its about? It seems like there isn't much chance of success but possible worth a go anyway.

  4. What time did you get them Bellamy? The tickets appeared to have dried out by about 3pm yesterday and I didn't manage to get close all day really, even when the payment pages came up i was greeted with the German error 403 page as soon as i continued.

Are we expecting any more available before the end of the sales period?

  5. Waggy, what are you doing that I'm not? You seem to have a midas touch at this lottery.

Do you have multiple browser pages open constantly refreshing? Do you wait the 30 seconds or just refresh the page manually?

Give us a clue, i've just missed than France game again.

  6. Are these tickets coming on all the time then, just randomly?

I just logged on to see Iran v Angola on yellow, can't say it excited me but if it had let me through I would have taken them. I just got a page saying this page is forbidden.

  7. Looks like i've missed out on this latest stage. I had no idea there were further tickets on sale, but from reading through I presume they were on first come first serve basis?

If so, did anybody manage to get any?

Also, is there still tickets going on there all the time, or was it just the first few days?

    Cheers

  8. 2 more sets of 3 tickets....

    ukraine v tunisia

    ecuador v costa rica

They are fairly sh1te teams, but we decided to be realistic and go to as many games as possible.

So thats 4 games now from the 2 applications!

  9. From the draw it turns out we have got tickets for Trinidad v Sweden and USA v Czech.

I haven't bothered with accomodation or flights yet, im still thinking about getting a mini bus.

Either way, I don't mind stopping out of town anyway, and I'm sure there will always be accomodation somewere. How are people getting alogn booking flights?

  10. I wish someone would end these pathetic topics on ex-players and managers.

What is it that makes someone such a bad person for leaving the club? There was 10 board members MAXIMUM that were wishing Souness out before he actually left.

He moved to a much bigger club, with more resources, fans and a better wage! There is clearly no loyalty at all in the game as it stands, so why do people get kicks out of him failing?

And how many of them who do, actually attend ewood on a saturday?

  11. Ok, being realistic the best average gate we can hope for is 25,000 and everyone would be happy with that.

Say we get an average attendance this season of 17,000.

Thats 8,000 fans per week not coming, and therefore a lost revenue of...

    £25 (average price) x 19 games x 8,000 fans = £3.8m

Now considering the current state of the transfer market, then granted that could get you a half decent player, but in past seasons we have wasted that at the drop of a hat, on players like Ward, Blake, Carsley etc etc.

We all know that our average attendance will NOT be 17,000, and will be at least 20,000. Thus leaving the lost revenue at:

    £25 (average price) x 19 games x 5,000 fans = £2.375m

Now is that money REALLY that cruical to rovers? To be honest I don't think it is, and what we lose out there, we can easily make up by being a bit more shrude on other decisions around the club.

I.e. Ensuring that we appoint decent managers who are going to keep us in the league, and thus earn us £20m a year!

The attendance problem is one that nobody can solve over night, so lets concentrate on other aspects and Im sure it will sort itself out in good time.
