Scunthorpe fans seem sad to see him go on social media. Suppose there are always rumours flying round. Apparently Gladwin has a bad attitude but again I cant judge based on tittle tattle.
Maybe that is why weve stayed away, maybe we did offer a contract that was less, we will never know
Indeed! Who's to say?

Shame, pacy, a winger, free, young, ticked every box. Hope Mowbray has someone better lined up and hasnt been sitting on his hands.
Yeah. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on. There's a post, god knows how many pages back, that was relating info about him being a bit of a wrong 'un attitude-wise though. The proverbial 'bad apple'.

At this moment in time everything points to Mowbray having been given next to nothing to spend.
That may well be the case. I hope it's not, but the supporters and the club have been habitually jerked around by the infuriating chicken farmers.
Right now, for my own sanity and peace of mind, I'm choosing to trust in what Mowbray has been saying. Maybe that'll turn out to be naive in the long term, but I'm hoping that he'll make good on the positive things he's been saying in the press.

That's not a question mark after a period, is it? Surely not! OH MY ENGLISH!
Can you post that again with correct punctuation?

I never understand that "Tom" insult. I think it's black people who act white, right? Is it not a racist thing to say?
It's exceptionally rotten. It originates from 'Uncle Tom's Cabin', a 19th Century novel by Harriet Beecher Stowe. Although Beecher Stowe meant well with her anti-slavery novel, the character Uncle Tom, has become synonymous with the placid and docile black man who does his best to please his white masters.

Echoing most everyone else here, but losing Graham would be a blow, quite frankly. We want to consolidate and ,if possible improve, not scramble around for replacements. Chopping at the vertebrae is not how one strengthens the spine.
Obviously we oughtn't get held to ransom, but going into this window I'm sure most reckoned Graham as someone we really needed to keep.

https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/may/rovers-to-receive-fee-for-mahoney/
There's some Mahoney money to be had.
- Bournemouth must pay Rovers an initial compensation fee of £425,000.
- In addition to the initial payment, Bournemouth are to pay a further sum of £100,000 on the player making 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 first-team appearances – a potential further payment of £500,000.
- The potential for international appearances has also been factored, with Bournemouth expected to pay £250,000 in the event that Mahoney makes a full senior appearance for England.
- Finally, Rovers will receive 20% of any profit made by Bournemouth in selling the player to another club at any point in the future.
As an aside, with a name like Connor Mahoney, I had always assumed he from bigdogsteel's and my neck of the woods.

I like that list. Would also add Gwion Edwards from Peterborough. Had a cracking first half against us this season at Ewood and looks a real talent; Welsh international too and natural width (hoorah). As you say, not advocating a full on League One signing spree, but a number of these lads are talented with the hunger needed to test themselves at a higher level.
Is Edwards the left full back or winger who was tearing up our flank? I liked the look of him, if so.

Season not over 5 minutes and this malarky. Not good for the health at all. Cheers Kamy for getting to the bottom of it. Really appreciate your efforts.

nothing out there. but don't forget that Hibs are still playing in their season so it might be announce after their season ends
You're dead right, man. I had totally forgotten that there's other leagues still unfinished, haha! Mine is a BRFC only household.

Midfield needs a playmaker like we thought Whittingham would be.
Wonder if that's the chap from Hibs?
Anyone got any more word on that?

I honestly think we need a pair of forwards, especially if we don't get another year from Armstrong. I was bricking it v Doncaster when Graham leaving was quickly followed by Armstrong running for the bench.
Who came on in their places? Samuel and Antonsson. I couldn't have felt less confidence.
Thanks the stars for Mulgrew's dinky-swish header from the corner, because, with the best will in the world, we'd have been waiting a long time for that pair to do the needful.

Any good 'big units' knocking around?

Were we linked with Marquis before? The little I saw of him in our match the other night was alright. He looked game despite not really getting a sniff. He put himself about a bit more than say, Marriott, who we also shut down chances-wise.

Oldjamfan, you've managed to list two of the greatest songs ever written on this page alone. Totally different from each other, but both phenomenal. Ya know the kinda stuff that gets ya in the heart no matter when or where you hear it. Classic.
And on with the game:
Thin Lizzy - Little Darling

That was annoyingly brilliant, they were rocking and I was quite jealous at that point.
I’ve got young kids so at the moment am subjected to ‘Baby Shark’ playing constantly in my head so I vote we just sing everything in that tune so everybody else has to suffer my fate!
My missus was playing that song as part of an EFL to some 8 year olds a few weeks ago. Once was enough to get it lodged in my noggin.
'Brrrrradley Dack doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Daaaaanny Graham doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo'
Brutal.

Wow. That's absolutely desperate. Feel sorry for the fella.

Status Quo - Roll Over Lay Down
I just have to read that song title to start humming the riff and bobbing my head back and forth with the ol' 'happy rock scowl' on my face. Great gear altogether. G'wan the Quo!
