I agree with you. I think Hyam is actually ok at playing in out, he even sells the odd dummy to get in a position to play it forward. Saying that, if the CBs want to give it to full backs and what should be the more technical players then they should have the ability to find out centre midfielders or wingers. Carter played some lovely balls out of defense last night, S Wharton has it in the locker too. I don't even think Ayala is that bad either. Need more from the middle, you could see on multiple occasions last night that Brittain and JRC were looking for Travis and Buckley to show but weren't in a position to receive it. Equally it's a trust thing, I wouldn't be too keen to fire a pass into Travis or Buckley inside our half, Travis first touch can be sloppy and Buckley dwells on it too long and can get easily brushed off it. I don't mind playing the ball about a little but maybe the best out would be into our wingers feet and working it out from there. Through the middle with the players we have currently is very risky.

Very strange season overall. We can look solid at times but I do wonder if that's down to the opposition at times. We have taken a few beatens over the season too so not like we are consistent and losing by the odd goal whilst being solid. Burnley, Rotherham, Preston and Forest spring to mind. Need to grind out a result the weekend vs QPR. Better recruitment and I would be alot more positive but I'm still keeping the fingers crossed. Seems we are close but lack of bodies and injuries may be our downfall.

No don't get me wrong I think it's the attitude to have regarding automatic but the more teams in among it obviously the less chance we have, at this moment in time I would take the playoffs with both hands.

Hyam is top class at this level. He instills a confidence and assurance in the backline. He's as good as we could hope for in this league. Reads it very well, strong in the air, good age yet great experience. Massive fan.
