  1. either the price? although i doubt £5 is much difference. Or hopefully its the fact that people are getting more turned on by watching Rovers play. I mean, before the UTD, we had had just lost 3-0 home to Newcastle and im sure most of us were expecting the same kind of result and couldn't face the embarassment.

  2. I am not convinced by Bentley and certainly not at the rumoured £3m price tag. Meanwhilst, Arsenal have agreed to spend £2m on a young Mexican attacking midfielder- Vella- so Bentley is slipping yet further away from playing at Ashburton Grove.

which rumours are these that Arsenal want £3m for him?? If Rovers had not come in for Bently with hours to go till the deadline passed, he would have joined Crystal Palace for just under £1m.

I think people are being too harsh on Bently. Its obvious he has 'real' talent and he's yet to play in his correct position for Rovers, which is just behind the strikers. And with Rovers now playing 442, its unlikely we will ever see him in his right position.

  3. todays result was papering over the cracks I think.

United have Charlton (who despite them being tought a footballing lesson yesterday, are still a decent side) away next, who I fancy to take a point from United.

United were lucky today, the result could have easily gone either way.

  4. just found the programme from the Rovers v Charlton game a few years back. We won 4-1 i think, with Tugay scoring a wonder 'team' goal i seem to remember.

That was a great game, really was end to end. Hope Rovers can produce the same kind of performance as that tomorrow

    Cant see it though,

Rovers 1-1 Charlton (i agree with Lawro -HA!)

    Bellamy (56)  Bent (76)

I never should have doubted Rovers. smile.gif And todays performance was even better than that one!!

  5. For the first time in about 3 years I'm beginning to feel a bit optimistic about Rovers. The main reason for this is that we are actually trying to get forward and win games instead of sticking 9 behind the ball and playing for draws. If we can keep that spirit and attitude going for the rest of the season then we should be able to finish top half and then puch on next year. I reckon a lot depends on Bellamy being fit as well.

that optimisim could be gone if we lose to Charlton, I'll bet.
