According to Mourinho they scored six goals because they gave us our two goals, that man is deluded!
Everyone around me felt that Tugay was the best player and couldn't understand why he was substituted.
I agree about Mike Riley, sending Hughes to the stand was ridiculous. Anyway why wasn't Riley at the Riverside today? United would never have lost 4-1 if he had been playing.
I also failed understand why he was taken off. But that goes to show that Mark Bowen is no manager!!
-
He lost the ball about 7 or 8 times in the second half trying to break forward on the right. Either by being tackled or by passing ball in dangerous and impossible positions. This created so much pressure on the rest of the team and it was only a matter of time before Chelsea went back ahead
-
Just got back!!!
VERY VERY PROUD.
We were fantastic after Chelsea got their second, and the players did so well not to just fold(despite probably us as fans did- just wanted to go home really after 15mins)
No one could believe it when we scored the second- seemed like 10 seconds after it went in before the fans went mental.
Kuqi had a great chance at 3-2, but he would not have needed to if Pedersen hadnt slipped. And Dickov missed a sitter at 4-2 after great build up play.We could have had an amazing final 10mins if that had gone in!!!
Oh and, was sitting in the bottom tier so dont know if we sold out up there, but there must have been over 1,000 Roverities who went as the bottom tier was full.
My ratings:
Friedel 7
Neill 4
Todd 6
Zura 8
Gray 8
Pedersen 7
Savage 8
Tugay 8
Emerton 7 (could have been 9 if he had more confidence because he had the beating of the Chelsea full backs)
Bellamy 8
Kuqi 7
REF-###### awful!!!!! Gave a yellow to Pedersen for being fouled by Cole?!
-
Jose has just said in his news conference, that Chelsea are expecting a dirty game from Rovers.
GED INTO EM! i say.

-
Zura could be out for tomorrow!!!!!!
Which would mean our back two would be Todd and Mokoena!!!
######!
Just had a thought- maybe Amo will be given a run out
And to think, i was actually excited about going to the match tomorrow.

Chelsea(playing mostly first 11) have gone to extra-time at home to Charlton in the cup tonight.
Can only be a good thing. Hopefully our extra fitness will tell on Saturday
-
Leeds fans have always been jealous of Rovers
-
they do.
There are highlights for Huddersfield on the video highlight section. Along with Rovers games in the League Cup for the last few seasons. So I guess later today there will be Leeds highlights there
-

Really hope Duff is still not back from injury for this game. He's bound to score again.
Probably spit in our faces again by kissing the Chelski badge like last season AT EWOOD FFS!!!
what a w@nker!
-
I notice that Chelsea have put their tickets on general sale for the visit of Rovers.
I wonder if they will only get around 30,000 like in the champions league
-
Leeds are just another average team in an average Championship(although it's never been as strong since us,Fulham and Bolton went up)
My team(if only i could choose) to play dirty Leeds:
Friedel
Neill Todd Zura Taylor
Emerton Reid Bently Thompson
Bellamy Jansen
Rovers 2-0 Leeds
Thompson (22)
Bellamy (61)
ATT: 11,612

Bellamys chance was easier that Dickovs IMO.
Dickov(who i thought played well today) had too long to think about where to place the ball and Taylor stood tall.
While Bellamy had no time to think(which can be easier) and Taylor did the wrong thing in rushing out way too far which made it easy for Bellamy- who also actually had it saved
-
I thought he won the ball in the second challenge tbh.
But he should have gone for the dive in the box!!
-
But its going to take time garns. I dont know about you, but Im still very nervous when we play at home and most Rovers fans are the same. I believe that if we can keep up our good form for the rest of the season, and be around 6th-10th for the remainder of the season, some fans will come back and we should get crowds of around 24k for the last 6-8 home games.
btw- was working today so could'nt go before I get any stick.
-
Anyway, about the match. Rovers won in 2nd gear. Very very easy win against an awful Birmingham side. Although winning playing badly is the sign of a good team
I thought Zura,Neill,Gray,Kuqi and Dickov all had decent games. And when Emerton came on, he looked very creative(or is that just because Bently was so bad).
Anyway, Leeds next and should be a good confidence boost before the Chelsea game.
Oh how things have changed from that Newcastle game!!
-
no way was there 1,000 Brum fans!!!
I know their official site said they sold 1,000. But I dont trust anything that comes from that club.
650 at most!!!
-
sky sports are reporting Dunn is doubful for the Rovers game as he has picked up a calf strain.
and according to Brum fans, on local radio today they are saying Dunn is OUT for Saturday.
good news!
(sorry Dunny)
-
Just to let you know, todays Daily Mirror described Rovers fans as 'sick'.
-
After watching them today (on a streaming), Rovers SHOULD have no problem against a very average side in very poor form. I dont think they even had a chance today.
Although Dunn looked quite good when he came on. But also very fat.
-
Unfortunately I had to sit near the moronic element who started the chant. I hope they're proud of themselves- they cost us at least a point today, but then I've been saying a similar thing all season.
If you want to gloat, wait till the game's won. Taunt players from the opposing team at 3-0 (although not with such a sickening chant as that one) if you must, but button it until then. Oh and Cisse's reaction- the goal and after- was 100% justified.
It was obvious to those of us with some taste and decency that the "young team" at the back had left their collective brain cell at home. I've never enjoyed a game less, nor felt that we deserved to lose more. (Not the team- they deserved more- but the pathetic but vocal minority of fans deserved less than nothing)
did you not admit to singing along to the songs about Souness and his heart.
If so, you're in no position to talk.
SICKO!

Did he also not get a touch of the ball??
Or is that just wishful thinking?

no way was Friedel at fault for the 3rd IMO. He was expecting someone to get a touch and when there was no touch, he dived to late to the left.
If it was anyones fault, it was the defenders for being way to deep
