  1. Consolidation season so I view it as a success albeit there are a number of positions that need strengthening.

Our league position is better than the two other teams that got promoted which would suggest a decent season overall.

TM has brought some pride back to the club and its very noticeable that our owners are rarely mentioned anymore.

I hope some innovative season ticket deals are announced as a fuller Ewood is something we'd all like to see.

Big decisions for TM regarding ins and outs, new LB, CH, CM, and possibly CF and GK required.

Danny and Charlie have been two significant players for us over the last couple of seasons, but are we now at the crossroads with both of them?

Realistically, a top half finish next season, a few younger players establish themselves, and more emphasis on attacking football would be good.

  2. This is the match we must win!!

My memories of my youth are littered with near death experiences at the hands of Bolton fans.

My schooldays regularly saw me running umpteen miles in an attempt to escape the inevitable 'duffing', although it did serve me well as I went on to represent Bolton running in the 100 metres ?

I blame my dad, if he hadn't brainwashed me, dragged me on the bus into Bolton, then the bus or train to Chorley to my uncles, then to Ewood every other week I may have had a much more positive outlook on things. As it is, I'm a Rover living in enemy territory.

More recent times have seen Bolton fans enthusiasm diminish significantly, with the most ardent supporters either not attending games or not wishing to discuss anything football with me, (I do try to discuss their situation but they tend to dismiss me with an avalanche of abuse ?).

Anyway, enough of my torrid time as a boy, come on my Rovers, let's have a good win to allow me to visit my local pubs with my head held high and a subtle smile for all my Bolton mates.

What’s an « anticipated low attendance game »? Other than Leeds and Preston and maybe a couple more for which a few more turn out on the appeal of a sense of occasion, home support seldom wavers from between 11,000 and 12,000. You can hardly sell season tickets and then turn round and say: ‘Oh, by the way for everybody else we’ll sell you tickets at a tenner apiece for 16 games.’

I can see where you're coming from, possibly should've said 'anticipated lower than average attendance' - maybe against the 3 or 4 teams who have the lowest away following.

  4. Why not offer a ST that can be paid over 12 months interest free rather than 9 months with interest?

Make anticipated low attendance games £10.

Cup games £10 with ST's having first dibs on their own seat.

Catt B games £20 with £2.50 being redeemable at bar / club shop.

But I do fall into the camp that believes success on the pitch is by far the biggest reason floating fans attend.

I agree Nyambe should have started if he is back fit. We were surprised to see Bennett starting and Nyambe on the bench.

The problems we had today was that we made too many changes - unnecessarily.

Personally I wouldn’t have subbed Travis. We can’t keep subbing players who are on yellows, that’s a nonsense. We very much missed his positivity and nobody could really replace that. Amazing how far that lad has come in such a short space of time.

Travis had to be subbed, he was on a yellow and very lucky to still be on the pitch, not to have subbed him would have been risky to say the least.

  6. Well that was a poor game.

Travis had his worst game I've seen and I just hope it's a blip, but being next to Smallwood doesn't help.

Thought TM was right with the players he brought off and Rothwell coming on, surely he must be due a start soon.

Nuttall should be better than he is (if that makes sense), he just doesn't look ready for this level.

Couldn't see what happened for their goal, but it looked too damned easy, will watch highlights later.

Anyway, getting manager and player of the month certainly put the mockers on.

  7. Just back, very bad traffic for some reason.

Excellent performance today, probably the best of the season.

Our midfield bossed the game, Evans and Travis didn't give them a moment on the ball, and Armstrong and Reed bombed forward giving us great attacking options.

The back four looked solid, Rodwell reads the game so well and Bennett had his best game at RB.

Well done TM and the boys, 4 wins on the trot makes us one of the form teams in the division. COYB
