Obviously success on the pitch is the biggest influence on our attendances, I'm sure our promotion seasons and premiership years would support this.
My hope is that Mowbray can replicate the good feeling, excitement that Don McKay managed to establish during his years at the club.
Those of us old enough to remember the 70's will have memories of pitiful numbers on the ground, poor league positions etc. until the right manager came along.
Would cheaper tickets be the answer - possibly add a couple of thousand, but may result in a smaller revenue overall.
It often appears that there are so many reasons not to attend rather than reasons to attend.
As a season ticket holder, I do not have any issues with the club reducing match day walk on prices to bolster attendances as a good atmosphere is the 12th man.
TM has produced a hard working team that can play some exciting stuff, yes we have a dodgy defence, but, 10 games in, I'm very pleased with the overall start to the season.

Anyone else now need a holiday in Tenerife?
It hasn't felt like a holiday for the last 20 minutes!! Well done rovers, it's coming up to beer o'clock!!

C'mon you bluuuuuues!!

Fond regards from tenerife, too hot in the shade!! No Rothwell again!! Anyway, come on you blues, make my trip even better with a win.

Battling performance with tremendous last ditch defending, very happy with a point.
Tony, please pick a midfield that can dominate an opposition from the start, we looked so much better with Bennett and Reed on the pitch.
Well done you yellow boys!!
-
Got away with another one, Armstrong not tracking back.......and Reed comes on for Armstrong!!
-
Palmer not in the game, our midfield is getting dragged all over.
Rothwell and Reed must make an appearance at some point.

Conway off for Graham

Under the cosh at the moment

Conway and Williams......I hope Saint Tony hasn't dropped a huge one here!!
What does Rothwell have to do to get a game, and Reed looked ready for a start on Saturday.
We desperately need a CH if Williams is our first option.
Come on Rovers and Tony, prove us wrong please.

Without doubt we went 5-4-1 for the last 10 minutes. The strange thing was we put Bennett wide left and left Dack and Reed in the middle of the park. It was at that point we started conceding possession in midfield and dropping deeper. I know it's not allowed as an opinion but I think Mowbray got it wrong. He'd have been better sticking Brereton up front with Graham and at least offering an 'out' ball. Brereton did literally nothing but lose the ball, he also offered nothing defensively. It was Nyambe who had to keep going out to close Taylor down.
That's how I saw it anyway but I may be wrong?
When I saw Williams coming on I feared the worst.
Personally, I'd have taken DG off, Brereton replace him up top and brought Rothwell on.

Gutsy performance today, our midfield are like a pack of wolves!
Well done Tony and the boys, team spirit at it's highest for years.
Would be nice to see a few more on the ground, looked around 11,000 today, this team and manager deserve better!

Outstanding result, well done Tony and the boys. Carried on from the second half display against Millwall. COYB

Please, enlighten me.
Wigan and Shrews have positions only they can lose, however stats are manipulated.
Well it's not rocket science, we are currently the 'in form' team of the three over the last five games, not sure how those 'stats' could be manipulated.
-
Won 4, drawn 1 in last 5, top of the league.
Wigan and Shrews both won 2, lost 2, drawn 1 in last 5
I know which fans should be most worried and it not us at the moment!!
Well done TM for giving some of us a decent season, restoring a bit of pride.
Same posters will just keep moaning, football is not an exact science, it's 22 men kicking a bag of wind around, nothing is guaranteed!!!!

Nyambe is playing well at the minute. Look at his performances in the last 2 games
How are players like Nyambe or Raya going to keep us down?
You even admit you haven't seen Nyambe played recently but you choose to judge when you have no idea.
To be fair to Jal, he's not on his own making comments on players/games he hasn't seen.
Just have a gander at the Wigan thread

We should think about handing Nyambe a new contract as well as we should Mahoney
Agreed, Nyambe has improved loads since his first appearance, and Mahoney is a really exciting player.

Not quite sure what your obsession is with 'seasoned posters', just 'posters' would have sufficed. You aren't in some kind of elite, untouchable club because you've been posting on here for a while.
They think they are though

Ray Harford wasn't it?
Very pleased with the result yesterday, nice to be able to have the bragging rights over here.
Raya was outstanding yesterday and special mention for Rothwell, Charlie, Lenihan and Palmer for his contribution to the goal.
How many times did Williams give the ball away, still think left back is a weak position for us.
