Anybody watched the new Arrested Development? I'm 7 episodes in and I'm not impressed. I wasn't expecting much though because I thought the tail end of the third season was heading that way.

To add to the Dortmund thing: They've had one of the best managerial prospects in Europe for years. Surprised Klopp hasn't had more widespread praise before now tbh.
With a forward line of Lewandowski, Gotze, Reus and Blaszczykowski and a defence of Subotic and Hummels it'd be hard to fail!
Obviously that's doing him a disservice, Germany nurturing terrific young coaches as well as managers it seems. But they've got a hell of a team, I hope they keep them together but it's one that they've taken time to develop.

Anywhere that shows Hanley's full run? Commentators on five live were going mental.

It's interesting that in hindsight, Millwall knocking us out of the FA cup actually helped save us from relegation. The weekend we were due to play Millwall in the leage was postponed because of us facing them in the FA Cup in the same weekend. We were in dreadful form at that stage and would have no doubt lost the league game at the Den just as we ultimately lost the FA Cup match. If we had beaten them then our game against Derby would have been postponed in order to play the Semi against Wigan.
Instead, we played the game against Derby on the scheduled date, won the game, and set off on a run of winning 3 out of 4 which ironically included that re-scheduled lge game against Millwall. As much as I would have loved a day out at wembley, I would certainly take lge survival over it.
Great post.

Amazingly this would put us up to 15th place.
I don't think we'd drop 7 places in 2 games.

Hanley's run sounded absolutely immense on the commentary!

Sandomierski;
Kane, Dann, Givet, Morris;
King, Dunn, Williamson, Pedersen;
Kazim-Richards, Rhodes.
This post has been promoted to an articleAfter Givet's horror show at the weekend we desperately need Hanley back in there. I'd possibly for Lowe as well, Dunn might be more effective from the bench so soon after the game on Saturday.

Currently in Mister Thomas's Chop House in Manchester, fantastic
I went there just before Christmas and it is very good. Feels like you've stepped back in time 100 years (in a good way) - almost like being sat in an old underground railway station.
Re Nandos....it is what it is. Its competitors are the likes of McDonald's and Pizza Hut. I really like it since the veggie options are excellent (halloumi and portabello mushroom burger is amazing), and the sides are very good. I never go for a proper meal there it's just an alternative to other fast food places if I'm shopping or whatever. For that it does a very good job.

Saw Everything Everything a couple of weeks ago - fantastic gig by a great band. Don't think they'll be playing venues as small as Academy 2 for much longer!
Search for the Everything Everything mix by James Rutledge. It's the whole Arc album mixed into a 6:51 song. Nowhere near as chaotic as it sounds! Definitely worth a listen.
Saw My Bloody Valentine last Sunday. I think my ears are still bleeding. The 15 minute wall of noise that they call 'the Holocaust'...f*** me. I've never experienced anything like that! The rest of the set was beautiful but that was a 15 minute physical assault.

Thanks with regards to Greens.Unfortunately it's my mate that's the veggie and it's for his birthday. With me being a full bloodied carnivore and not liking root vegetables,i've struggled to find something that i can eat.The cheese and basil sausages are my only hope...
None of this is root veg!
BLACK PUDDING CAKE with poached egg, creamed leeks and peas
JAPANESE ENOKI MUSHROOM SPRING ROLL with a warm coconut broth and noodle laksa
SPINACH, PISTACHIO AND FETA FILO PIE with tomato, chick pea and saffron stew
GNOCCHI WITH TAPENADE SAUCE AND A BLUE CHEESE CRUMB served with a bean and crouton salad and salsa verde dressing
Knowing how good their pies and bean stews are, I'd go with the spinach, pistachio and feta pie (the stews are usually wonderfully smokey).

Going to Greens at Didsbury on Sunday has anybody been there? any good?
It's fantastic. I live just round the corner and I'm a vegetarian, so obviously I go there a lot!
Taken friends there in the past - staunch meat eaters that usually have light hearted digs about BBQs and so on - and they all loved it. The veggie black pudding seems to be the highlight for non veggies.
Love it, took my girlfriend there last weekend, can get a little noisy when full but excellent food. Great to finally find somewhere with more than 2 veggie options!
Try the black pudding, tell me if you can taste the difference!
I wrote my post before reading that, honest.
If you eat in Manchester on a regular basis I can recommend Bistro 1847 in the city centre (the head chef was trained at Noma in Denmark, voted best restaurant in the world). They've also opened a sister restuarant in Chorlton. Haven't tried that one but I imagine it's just as good. Not quite Greens standard but not far off, and they have a good early-evening offer iirc.

From 2009
Cheaper horse meat now being found in all manner of imported fast food products being the result of such. Make no mistake this will have been going on for years. If you want to buy good meat go to a local butcher and insist on British produce.
I've always wondered what people thought was in their £1 ready meals. I mean really...to make a lasagna with meat, tomatoes, cheese, pasta, vegetables, have a huge factory to make it, package it, transport it, pay wages of people involved along the way, make two companies a decent profit (supplier and retailer)...quality has to be questionable at best.

1. Not for 20 years. 2. Not to the best of my knowledge. 3. I've got my own six hens tbh. They are proper free range not the pretend free range that retail outlets sell.
Anymore questions LeChuck?
Nope. Just checking.
And at least I know who to ask when I get a place big enough to get my own hens now.

Ever eat at KFC? Ever buy Bernand Matthew's products? Ever buy none free-range eggs?

On Flintoff, what an embarassment the guy was to the sport of boxing. I was livid beforehand, and more so after the fight after watching him punch like a girl (sorry to the ladies reading this). The fight should never have been a professional fight and if he wanted to step into the ring so badly, he could have organised a charity event for Sport Relief. Absolute joke.
That's just low level professional boxing for you. The other guy had won his first two professional fights, so of course it should have been a pro fight.
The problem is that those fights are not usually on TV.

I was at the Warehouse Project about 4 years ago, it was a big underground carpark. Not sure if it has changed since then but it was class! Aphex Twin and Luke Vibert. Not that I can remember a hell of a lot....
Yeah went to it there a few times, also saw a few things (including The Fall) when it was at the old Boddington's brewery.
It's moved to somewhere near Trafford now I think.

Orbital were top notch on Sat at WHP
WHP? Warehouse Project?
What's it like since it changed venue?

I think Gav's point was he wasn't training as hard and cleanly as he could, meaning those spending thousands to go to Vegas were less likely to get their money's worth from following him.
That said, I thought the drugs stuff was after the Pac fight?
Same here, possibly why I got a bit confused. I thought he fell off the wagon once he retired because he felt empty without boxing.
He wasn't doing anything like that when he was fighting, surely?

I've still not got over his coke admission myself
Why? It's only coke, not doing anyone any harm. You probably cross loads of people every day that have done it.
I hope he wins on Saturday, British boxing needs him at the moment.

And let's face it, a lot of people are going to feel entitled to throw angry comments at somebody earning obscene amounts of money for kicking a ball of air around for 90 minutes a week.
But then they shouldn't start whinging about it if the player gets annoyed at what they say and reply angrily. It's cowardly. A phrase involving "cake" and "eat it" springs to mind.
-
If footballers are so unhappy about being "harassed" perhaps they should set their accounts to private. It's very easy to do.
But a lot fans like the open interaction that it allows. It'd be a bit of a shame if the few spoiled it for the many.
-
Strange comment.
If a player is not performing then the fans are absolutely right to 'harrass' them.
On Twitter though? Fair enough if someone thinks they're entitled to air their views in the ground when they've paid to be there, but I think it's overstepping the mark taking it to Twitter. Or at the very least, if they feel the need to take it to Twitter then they shouldn't complain if they get a response back that they don't like.
'That' Rovers fan has probably forgotten more games than you've attended LeChuck.
Don't doubt it all. Not sure it makes much difference though.
As you seem to know the person...why do you think they did it? What do you think they hoped to achieve?

Not looking forward to the World Cup if this is what the heat does to teams.
