  1. I didn't see the first leg at Ewood, but tonight the better team won. I've no problem saying that, but watched it all and was proud that we took an older and more experienced side right to the wire. Some very fetching performances, and this team will hopefully grow.

Wish the Loons had been at this game rather than Saturday?

  2. Saints U21's manager Martin Hunter said - " they(Blackburn) were direct to say the least and very aggressive."

Att. 995. Saints have so far sold over 2,000 tickets for the 2nd leg.

Eric Kinder could be the new Big Sam.

Had it been the other way round we'd have sold 28,000!

  3. No problem with Dunn's ability but I have a massive problem with his fake / pretend / fantasy injuries. The mans a bloody hypochondriac. If there is to be a new contract offer for him it needs to be based on minutes on the pitch..... full stop!

But hasn't he alluded (not a word he would use, granted) that he was "fit" yet wasn't being picked in the starting 11?

  4. I groan like the rest of us sometimes, and yes, Peds is past his best, but he had class, and you don't lose it overnight. He has been a brilliant servant and to cast him aside is cruel. There's a lot to be said for loyalty, and although Dunny gets criticized, he has been our best player when the chips were down back end of the season. If only a few others had that commitment?

  5. A disgrace to the colours?? Thats an incredible statement. He played a big role in the club's longest post-war top flight spell. He was phenomenal in the season we came within 4 points of the Champions League, our best finish in a decade and likely to be our best finish for at least 5 decades more. He finished top or near top of the assists chart every season we were in the PL. He's scored more goals for us than Tim Sherwood, has played almost as many games as Tony Parkes, and has been featured heavily in the team by 10 different managers. He never sulks when he's not started, never gets wound up by bullying fans, never gets himself in trouble off the pitch or brings the club's name into disrepute. And has been an ambassador to our decently-sized Scandanavian fanbase and wider fanbase in general, believe it or not but the vast majority of the wider football world think he's pretty good.

That you would twice lump him in with Murphy and Orr is disgusting. Those 2 between them won't achieve 1% of what Pedersen has at this club.

    + 10

  6. For my two penneth, up tempo game, we came out fighting, got caught with a sucker puch, faught back well. JR scored a corker, we took the second half. 1-1 fair result, where did they dig the ref up from?

Future....keeper I rate. Kane a definite prospect, but with Chelsea, central defence good if we keep but left back a problem.

Mid a nightmare, jones if we can get him a workhorse, dunny over the hill, Williamson ok, king so frustrates, but he's not ours.

Lowe, work in progress, Peds over the hill.

Jordan is gold, but we won't keep him.

    So, end of term report:

    Owners: z-

    Board: worse

    Managers: GB exempted, @#/?

    Players: C-
