Both games at the riverside provided a brilliant result for Rovers, but having seen the extensive highlights I'm sure most Middlesbrough fans and players won't believe how they lost those games.

Really we should have been 2-0 down before Kuqi scored his first on boxing day, so "lady luck" was on our side.

Haha, are you serious? We might well have the poorest team in the PL in terms of real pace, of course the likes of Robben, Duff, Drogba, Cole are way "faster" than MGP/Emerton/Bentley/Dickov.

Our team lacks pace, therfore its hard for us to play effective counter atticking football. Our wingers are just to slow, so is our defense.

Having seen the game I can say that we were the better team in terms of making real goal scoring chances. On another day we might have won this one.

We seriously need to improve our defending, and defensive set pices are something we should work hard on. Really poor defending by Todd on their first goal, their second, well our defense was all over the place.

As for our formation, in my opinion we either play 4-4-2 with two natural strikers, or we play 4-5-1 with a strong centre midfield. Playing something like 4-4-1-1 with Bentley just behind the striker does not work at all, its time for Hughes to see this.

There are just too many players out there not performing at the moment, and as a team we look pretty poor. We must get our act together, otherwise its going to be a grim Christmas run for us.

This has been the worst first half I've seen in a long time. Both teams are playing really really poor. We have had two good chances, the first one hit the crossbar, and the second was a shot from Dickov which went just wide..

Well taken goal by West Ham, and with our defense line up like they did it was no suprise. Reid and Neill at fault.

Overall very disappointing stuff! The second half MUST be better than this, bring on Kuqi and Jansen.
