  1. Should add this link in this thread aswell..

    Gally back to Ewood

I reckon he will be in the squad facing Charlton saturday. "Mark Hughes is keen to take a look at Gallagher's form before reshaping his squad for next season. BBC"

With Dickov leaving, and Pongo not looking to sign a permant deal, it may open the door for Gally to play some part for us next season. I'm hoping we sign another quality striker and have Gally and Kuqi as back up players.

  2. I don't actually think we've been that bad lately -

POMPEY away - draw - Harry Redknapp says it was their 'best performance of the season'

LIVERPOOL home - bad decision by linesman ruined the game, we had all the possession, but couldnt break them down - liverpool are one of the best in europe at holding a lead.

BIRMINGHAM - we had all the possession again, their keeper's made some amazing saves. They had two breaks and score both.

I've seen all those games, one of them from the stands, and apart from the Liverpool game you are talking some quality rubbish here! Against Pompey it was Bellamy against them, a 5-2 loss would have been what we deserved. Today we did not have all the possession, their keeper did not make any (apart from the peter shot, which savage scored on the rebound) saves, never mind amazing onces..

So I have no idea what you are trying to pull here, because, face it, we have been playing crap lately..

  3. Saw the game on telly. Birmingham clearly the better team in the first half, should have been 2-0 up, we didnt create anything.

Second half we were on top, had 4 great chances to score, and Birmingham scored on their two.

Overall, the game could have gone either way, but IMO Birmingham perhaps were the better team, so a deserved win.

Kuqi did very well when he came on, Bellamy was poor and so was Pedersen. Hope Peter will start our remaning games, he is much more effective than Gamst at the moment.

  4. Being at Ewood for the first time sitting in the Jack Walker Upper, I had a very good veiw of the game, and this it what I make of it:

    1. We got many quality crosses into the box, but when no-one attacks the ball and we dont have players arriving in the box from midfield then they are of no use.

    2. Best attack on the day was the hughe chance which Savage sent wide with a weak shot.

    3. No need to say anything about the Liverpool goal mad.gif

    4. The drummer really is annoying, sounds like they kill any chance of a chant lasting longer than 10-20 seconds

    5. We need to stop playing one-touch sloppy passes between the back four. On another day it could have cost us dearly.

I dont think any of our players had a very bad game, even though Dickov was cleary not at his best. Best player for me was Nelsen, followed by Reid and Savage. I also thought Bentley looked decent in the second half...

Btw, at the Blackburn train station after the game some Liverpool supports idiots came singing "blue and white trash..." Then a rather ###### off Blackburn supporter "lost it" while repating load and aggressively "shut your mouth you fat @#/?, no-one likes you, fat basted. Shut your f**** mouth fat @#/?.. Just wondering, was it any of you? ohmy.gif

  5. just a point. Why cant Sparky be honest with his post-match interviews. Both against Wigan and now Pompey he comes aout saying we deserved to win both?? I know he's trying to support the players but he's clearly talking rubbish.

Spot on, I was just about to say the same. Its all getting a bit silly now, and he should stop making a fool out of himself by saying so..

  6. We should stop talking about 4th place, both in the media and on here. We are just making an ass out of our self.

The performances we have showed lately does not belong in the premier league, never mind the Champions League. Against Wigan we were lucky to get a point, and its the same story today. The players seem tired and our only way to attack is by hitting a long ball towards Bellamy while hoping he will pull some magic.

Our defense in the last two games have been nothing sort of bloody awful, and if it continue then we can say goodbye to the UEFA cup aswell.. sad.gif
