  1. "Infact at 10.50 I got the green light that it had all gone through. We weren’t celebrating, but we were certainly saying ‘what’s next, what’s training going to look like"

This quote is saying all paperwork submitted 10 minutes before deadline. So suggests to me there were errors or omissions in the registration documents?

Which if that is the case, that is so shocking and sad.

  2. We are yet to see the best of brittain and this is due to JDT restricting him from doing what he is best at. Brittain natural game is to bomb up, dribbling past players and putting wicked balls into the box. Its sad that when i see him play with the ball he is just passing for the sake of passing sideways and backwards.

I would love JDT to mix up our play, let players play with some freedom, play with some attacking intent. I mean if we lose the ball in the opposition half its better than losing in and around our own defence.

Teams WILL have figured us out by now and if we keep playing the way we do a team will come an press us with high energy forcing us into more errors like we saw in the last game.

I gave up when we went one down. You know the result from there.

I don't think we deserved to lose though.

What did we do to deserve a draw? Wigan played better football and keane should have scored the 1 on 1 chance in the 1st half when wharton gave the ball away, suicidal just like morton giving the ball away. That had been coming for weeks, the number of times we have got away with that in previous games!!

  4. Wonder how lenihans feeling tonight after seeing Rovers top of the tree.

    Darragh Lenihan - 4

Brought in to add leadership and composure at the back but he was unconvincing as Boro corroded before receiving a straight red late on. You do question why he wasn't the man closest to Dykes for the third goal.

Thats the rating given by their local rag

  5. Imagine Mowbray having Rudy Gestede playing out wide (In Tonys words the modern day striker needs to be versatile and be able to play out wide) and the Craig Conway Wide Right instead of wide left!

Its unthinkable but thats where he has been playing Giles and Gallagher (confidence has been shot in previous games). Regarding Gallagher still think another manager/coach gets more out of him.

Footballers play with instinct. Its difficult to use instinct when playing in unfamiliar positions.

  6. I dont blame ANY of the Blackburn Rovers playing today or that played over the weekend.

There is only one man responsible for the utter shambles we are witnessing, Tony Tombola F***** Mowbray!

He doesnt have a clue, talk about over complicating and playing Johnson up front! What a joke!

His tried to be too clever once again!

  7. Would like to see Giles play instead of pickering in the next game.

Have we started to play with 5 at the back? Pickering rarely goes pass the half way line, Rankin-Costello ventures further forward but offers little.

Onto Rothwell he is so frustrating with the sideways passing. He needs to play further up the field and start contributing with goals and assists. Rothwell not the same player since he was denied a transfer in January.

Graham and Gallagher trained and played together at Rovers for a few seasons ...... that was when Gallagher should have been watching and learning how to do it.

Gallagher hasn't learnt a thing. It's far too late now

Truly belive Gallagher is a worse player today than when he first arrived at Rovers and i think TM has coached him into a Jason Lowe.

Watch these highlights from 5 years ago, you will see a different player:

Still not too late. He needs confidence, better coaching. He needs to be selfish, greedy, shoot more, demand to take penalties, demand the ball off his team mates. Thats just my opinion.

  9. A big shout out to the Rovers defence. Van Hecke, Lenihan, Wharton, Pickering absolute solid, game after game after game!

Imagine how they must feel when they do their jobs week in week out.

In my opinion with Brereton out, senior players like Rothwell and Travis MUST start taking some responsibility! Did either one have a shot on goal despite all our possession?

Wont mention Gallagher, enoughs been said on him. He shouldnt start on Saturday.

Is it only me who thinks Gallagher has got progressively worse football wise since hes been back here ?

Never great but he's the shadow of the guy who was on loan here in a really poor side.  Always works hard these days but they've literally just turned him into a workhorse. If they'd made him a battering ram up top from the get go instead of winger/wide striker i'm sure he'd be a lot better.

Really think a different manager would have improved Gallagher. He was better when he was on loan but sadly under Tony has definitely regressed.
