Wasted a lot of peoples time, and with it continued to show the traits as poor negotiators.

Its not a wonder, players are having to be sold as they are in the last year of the contract.

We have lost a number of players for nothing during this boards reign.

The wage demands of the contract rebel three were not that bad, not asking for the world.

The wise man would of signed them up last season, knowing if we didn't go up worse case scenario we could sell them and fill the coffers.

The arrogance or gauntlet put down, of "if you think you can find better" never ends well in the clubs favour.

It leaves us with zero transfer funds in, and us now pimping Brereton out.

Its criminal they let those contracts run down, and also criminal they didnt negotiate a new one with Brereton.

For this aione they are showing how out of their depth they are.

I mentioned this earlier, the club has spaffed away that much money recently its Criminal is an understatement

But the chicken chokers must also take some responsibility for this for not keeping their eye on the ball. Whether that is themselves, suhail, maggott or whoever the responsibility falls on .... Off with their heads!!

Broughton says he believes Mowbray 'over-achieved for years.' That doesn't fill me with confidence.

There also seems to be a distinctive unwillingness to bluntly state what the ambition is. A lot of vagueness. How hard is it to say, "We will fight for promotion"?

I cant see JDT coming here just to languish in the championship. More like he’s come to make a name for himself as a manager using us as a stepping stone

I'm going to do another technical count tonight from 11pm. Takes about 20 minutes or so.

Wondering if somebody could help me identify the truly unavailable seats in the seat map for the blocks that I listed, so that I can deduct those from the final count. Suspicious zones are the front rows of every block except the JW upper, and the big block of unavailable seats in the right hand side of W01. These are basically all seats that I'd consider as not season ticket sales, but I'm not totally sure.

Will all come out in the wash at the first home game? I’l be curious to know

It's not so much the highest prices which are the issue.

Rather, it's the cheaper tickets (think BBE) whiere we are higher than the vast majority. This is where the bulk of tickets would be sold.

We're the 4th most expensive, it would appear.

For some it’s not just the pricing, it’s the last 12yrs or so of grinding you down and seeing what your club has become

The club don't talk to their customers, so how can they have any real insight?

I can't recall them ever contacting me for my opinion on something.

Simple things, like doing a customer survey say, they just seemingly can't be bothered with.

I think that would be very unlikely.

Not only would it show maggott for who he really is but even if it got back to venkys i doubt it would make any difference.
Sometimes i cant help but wonder what do the chicken chokers actually want to get out of this.

Waggot just toeing the line, Venky's control major decisions at Ewood.

Seasonn Ticket prices based around "don't devalue the product"

All goes back to Madame Desai furiously criticising John Williams for previously reducing prices to increase attendances.

Williams knew what/ how to run a football club, on the other hand you have the chicken chokers

There’s been something seriously wrong down at ewood for well over 10yrs and it aint the fanbase!!

Waggots main job should be to stop the haemorrhaging of existing fans. He is failing . A 23% increase in 3 years in the current climate is laughable.

He has no long term goal here. His sees his job to maximise revenue on a balance sheet for this season only with no planning for 2,3,5,10 years down the line.

If he could have 3000 in paying £1500 each but isolating the rest he would probably do it.

When your duping your employers out of £300k a year, £500 for a season ticket is a mere drop in the ocean

    Renewed yesterday.

A lot of moaning and misery on here about pricing but I’m excited for the season ahead now a great management structure is in place at the club. If you want to go and watch Preston, Wigan or Bolton instead of Rovers my advice would be crack on!

Sounds like you have the right mentality there mate. No doubt your a highly successful businessman

I think it’s pretty obvious that I meant it’s Broughton who Venkys will need to back in the transfer market.

Tomasson reportedly not involved in transfers.

It’s actually quite scary that we are now relying on Bodo Glimt’s previous academy guy to bring in the right players.

Let’s hope he’s up to it.

He’s no mug by any means, and qualified then most

Dont be fooled by what appears to be inexperience

    I think he’l be reet!

Add me to the 'cautiously optimistic' group. Has said all the right things in his (short) time with us, but the real proof comes with the signings, the lineups, the performances and the results. He's got responsibility for three of those things, but the other lies with Broughton, and ultimately, their paymasters.

A little surpised JDT mentioned Waggott selling the club to him. I wouldn't trust Waggott with a school tuckshop.

Sorry .... But if Maggott has sold him the club, he’s going to be in for a rude awakening when the seasons starts. The stadium will be 2/3rds empty.

If he has a Lambert clause in his contract he’l be gone at crimbo!

I wouldn’t be too concerned RE Damien Johnson.

We have lost Mowbray and Venus and replaced them with JDT and RR

Rosen seems a replacement for Liam Mason (head of athletic performance) so I would assume DJ continues as is.

Hopefully one day DJ takes Lowe’s spot and the best coach from the academy takes DJ’s spot as I have high hopes for DJ

I’d be a tad disappointed if Johnson was fired off to be honest. He’s probably the one person who knows the younger players best from the U23 days.
I also tend to think that Mowbray was jealous and wary of him for some reason.

Welcome to Blackburn Rovers Jon Dahl Tomasson, Remy Reijnierse and Ben Rosen

I think its interesting choice and I looking forward to see to JDT's reign here. He seems to want to attacking football which I think we will look forward to. Reijnierse has 2 years of championship at Sheffield Wednesday plus loads of coaching experience behind him. Rosen is a fitness and conditioning coach who has worked at Southampton, Malmo, Denmark(where he worked with JDT) and Copenhagen.

Training Ground Guru | Rosen named Blackburn Performance Director as Tomasson confirms staff

I'm pleased we have got this head coach appointment sorted finally and I hope JDT and Remy work permits are sorted by Monday. I would imagine Ben Rosen is starting today.

Jon Dahl Tomasson's Blue and White Army 🔵

Talking of Rosen, it will be interesting to see if over the course of the season the players are prone to so many injuries. Personally i was convinced it was down to The training methods

This is a different direction it genuinely is the start of a new journey so lets give it a fair chance the guy will need to find his feet in this league.

Those running the club need to back this new set up 110% not just decide they've done their bit now and ignore it for another 3 years.

The next step should be sorting a boardroom setup who want to push the club forwards, want to re engage with a large swath of the irregular fanbase.  And have the actual gumption how to do it.

Building bridges (communication, transparency and approachability) with the fanbase would go a very long way for starters
