I've been saying for years they funnel a bit of money out of the parent company every year using Rovers.

All i got was don't be stupid why would they rob themselves !

The lack of understanding of how these things can work via loopholes is frustrating to those who know it can and it can all be above board when facilitated by expert accountants.

Morally and tax wise it ain't exactly throwing straight dice though.

We sing from the same him sheet. They are grifters and stupid too.

skyblue here, he screwed Charlton over and did the same for us, the man is a fraud and shouldn't be allowed near a football club

I hope you can get rid of him asap.

    Thank you for your concern.

    I, indeed we, appreciate it.

I saw what he did and what he wanted to do to you. He is Maggott the Rat, total vermin.

The same things must've applied at Brum but maybe 'one of our own' type feelings might have given him a pass down there that he was never going to get here.

He was "one of our own" to Brum fans but they also considered him to have been treated poorly by the new owners.

He'd done ok the previous season and they got their highest points tally in 7 years and safe.

This season after 11 games and in 6th position the owners sacked him citing they wanted "a winning mentality and a culture of ambition" across the club.

That is a damming statement for owners to issue when sacking the manager/ coach.

It's probably what put him on Rovers short list as a JDT replacement.

Brum then appointed Rooney and then Mowbray proving that some just never learn.

    Beware the Ides of March...

Omens not good, and the form book and outlook for games to come pretty bleak too.

We can go on about lies, damned lies and statistics, but at the end of the day having the second worst defensive record and being so reliant on one player to provide 'moments of magic' really doesn't help me to feel any confidence we can stop the tail-spin.

If we don't get anything from the next two games, for whatever reason, I'm inclined to think we'll just sink into oblivion.

    Damn those VenkyRaoDesaiPasha scum.

Balls to Mr Stephen cut your granny's throat for a laugh Waggott

Feck them all. How dare they allow this on their watch?

I don't expect any points away to Boro.

If we get a single point v Ipswich it will be something at least.

Our best hope is those currently below or near us do worse than us. Relying on others misfortune is a sad way to go in any venture

Great to see Brum kept deep in trouble and Venus sounding clueless but 3 wins have taken Boro from the edge of the relegation race to the edge of the play off race.

And Brum was a walk in the park.

So that screws my assessment of three games on the trot against fellow strugglers...

Hey hoe still have to go to the Riverside (Tees not Darwen) with a winning game plan. Over to you JE...

It will be an almost a miracle* if we get even a single point at Boro, but it's a benefit to us that Boro beat Brum.

*We do have Sammie, miracles are possible ....

    From LT today

Sounds like JE is making excuses!

What happened to his normal excuse culture

He really needs professional help with PR. With SWAG as his mentor he's primed to fail.

Any statheads remember what mowbrays run of results where when he first took over and lead us to religation?

I don't recall it being much different to Eustace (ie lots of draws and a few critical loses) I don't recall him getting this kind of stick though (and the squad that we had that season probably had a little more quality and strength in depth)

In his first 7 games Mowbray had 2 wins and 5 draws.

This was followed by 3 defeats.

That season in 15 games he had 5 wins, 7 draws and 3 defeats.

We won the last 2 games v Villa whose fans cheered for us wanting Brum relegated and v Brentford who were sunbathing. Those results distort imo what was actually happening.

Mowbray was also stuffed by the German crook chucking the game Hudds v Brum.

The draws at Burton and later at Wolves and the home defeat to Barnsley screwed us.

    I make that a haul of 22 points from a possible 45.

I was against Mowbray from day 1, on the basis that if you recruit from the scrap heap you get rubbish, but he and we were unfortunate to be relegated with 51 points.

Eustace has still got to win a game! Damien ran the Stoke game, that view has been endorsed by the LT and other sources.

If Eustace can get a total of 22 points from all the games that he will be in charge of this season he will be acclaimed, rightly, as a miracle worker and save us from relegation.

    He won't get 22 points.

Relegation, not over till it's over, so many permutations of results are possible but ours is probably the hardest run in so the odds are stacked against us

Yesterday we started on the front foot - we tried to play a higher defensive line and it worked for about 15 minutes.

Leading 1-0 and having “got away with a few scares” it needed a plan b. Not sure we had one or if the players are just incapable.

The only thing he got right was taking Buckley off instead of Hyari.

A final note: Wahlstedt made a decent save in the goal incident - unlucky that the rebounds fell where they did.

No save made. The shot hit Sammie on the goal line and then fell to the scorer.

  9. "The Ballad of JE" will be released on the Chicken Shit Label on Relegation Day or when Waggott buys JE a tickling stick and a funny hat*, whichever comes first.

"Togetherness, togetherness, the greatest gift that we posses

We thank the Lord that we've been blessed

With more than our share of togetherness.

Ewood Park is a wonderful place

We're just about the luckiest humans in the whole human race

We've got no wins and we're not gold

But we've got togetherness in our soul.

Togetherness, togetherness, the greatest gift that we posses

We thank the Lord that we've been blessed

With more than our share of togetherness.

A wise old manager said one time

Togetherness is a frame of mind

When you go to measuring your success

Don't count your points count your togetherness

Togetherness, togetherness, the greatest gift that we posses

We thank the Lord that we've been blessed

With more than our share of togetherness."

    * JE apparently already has a funny hat

** It's official, I have finally lost the plot

***And before I forget, FUCK OFF RAO VERMIN

Being a Rovers supporter in the Venkys era always reminds me of a line from the theme song of "Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads".

"Is the only thing to look forward to the past?"

I always liked that song, still do.

It then autos into the theme tune of Crossroads, I take that as a good omen.

  11. In his 10 innings in India Stokes scored a total of just 199* runs.

We will go on to win Tests against teams that we would beat playing any style of Test cricket and the claims will ring out that BazBall is the future.

*For comparison Tom Hartley scored a total of 185

  12. We are exposed to the "youngster"* theory due to our recruitment process and this season taking 3 loanees aged 20 who if they do develop will be of no benefit to us and meanwhile we expect them to give their all to our cause and learn on the job on our pitch.

Well, good luck with that one.

We've just seen one of those loanees cost us 3 points at Swansea but fortunately JE noticed it too.

Meanwhile and looking forward we must win this must win game today. Any other outcome and the writing on the wall is in capital letters.

    * Last night Leeds started a 17 year old, Gray, and a 20 year old, Gnonto. If your good enough you're old enough but we choose to experiment with other teams kids. F-ing madness.

Only 1 of the teams being below us in our run in does not worry me at all. We are rubbish against those teams anyway. We couldn't even beat Rotherham, QPR, Millwall, or Huddersfield at home.

I'd much rather play mid table teams who don't have a lot to play for. My worry is that we just don't look anywhere near winning a game against anyone at the moment!

I actually think the games against Boro, Sunderland, Bristol City, and Coventry (whose play offs hope may be over by the time we play them) represent much better opportunities for us to pick up points than games against clubs fighting for their lives. Even Leicester may not be as hard a game as it looks as they'll be promoted by then.

I do therefore agree with the manager that tomorrow is not a must win as there's still a lot of to play for...but equally it just feels like if we can't beat a poor team like Plymouth then who can we beat.

I do expect us to win tomorrow, lose all of the games to the current top 4 and also Coventry.

The rest, I have no idea but as always the Championship will suprise.

  14. In our remaining 10 games only one  of the opposition teams is currently below us.

We have to play the current top 4, plus Coventry at 8th and 2 others in the top half.

We play 3 bottom half teams, Bristol City, SW who are in current good form plus Plymouth, who are still ahead of us on GD.

OK I accept that mathematically tomorrow is not a must win but common sense says quite clearly that a win would be rather a good idea.
