Saints Row is a poor mans GTA, some nice touches but doesnt really feel next Gen enough for me

I bought Saints Row the other day, it had sold out in everyshop in Hull and everywhere had pre-order on the case so i went in to my local GAME noticed an ex-girlfriend of mine working on the counter, chatted to her for 5/10mins and she pulled a copy of the game out of the back and sold me it, i asked why they were saying that it were sold out if they had copies and she said it were just to create added interest in the game itself and that THQ sanctioned it. That way both companies are quids in. Its a disgrace really but i ain't going to complain. Anyone else know of any stores that have been doing the same thing for Saints Row, Gamestation and all 4/5 GAME stores in Hull have been doing it and i'm sure THQ wouldn't just have little old Hull stores do it.

Dont get Talk Talks broadband offer, Im still waiting for mine 3 months on(granted thats down to NTL not clearing my line as well) but that 10 days has been about 40 days now(We were on a waiting list and were told July).

Eddie if you get it so you get your broadband through cable rather than your phone line they usually come within a few days and dont have to wait for your ISP to liase with BT

Classified 18 on August 4th. The long wait is most likely so they can co-ordinate the European marketing campaign.

Has anyone noticed how it's optimised for HD only? The tiny text is almost impossible to read on my old TV, and from the reviews I've read there's a lot of text-based mission instructions that are easy to miss. Capcom's official solution -- use component connections (ie buy a HDTV!)

I noticed that with Tiger Woods but havnt really noticed it with Dead Rising, but I was having too much fun on the demo to read.

You can play evo 5 on the 360. As long as you are connected to Live when you load up evo 5 the game should automatically patch. I'm pretty sure you 360 players can play regular xbox players also. Do correct me if i'm wrong on that point tho.

What a Farce,

the FA have appointed the most tacticly inept and dullest man in English football. This season Boro have been one of the worst teams to watch in the premiership yet they give this dullard the England job. Yes, hes got said team to the UEFA cup final but said team rode their luck a lot and could not be consistent over 38 games.

From day one I have said Fat Sam is the man for the job, I believe even though he played carp football at bolton he would have cahnged it to suit the players we have as a country. He has merged a team of crap and decrepid players to become a force in England, Middlesboro are just crap and get lucky in the cups.

What worries me most is we will never have a crop of players like we have now again, so if we dont win anything between now and 20014 we will never win anything.

It is, the only footy option on the 360 is FIFA although the world cup game is quite decent this time round

I just got my 360 and got Live as well at same time, even if this tourny isn't happening it would be great to beat other Rovers on it.

The one thing I will say about Arsenal players this season is that they lack the commitment and the passion that is required in the Premiership. They drasticly miss a nucleus of British players which can provide the heart and passion and the grit and determination of playing PL football, however they are so Technichaly gifted they are ideal for Champions League football, buut there is no way they can play like they did tonight in the PL week in week out.

I doubt few will agree, but is the race for the title back open? If Manchester United win their game in hand the gap is down to 9. Chelsea's remaining fixtures are far from easy, they only play three teams outside of the top ten, Birmingham, Man City and Newcastle (with those other two only just outside and in decent form). As they still have to play each other I think there is actually still something to play for at the top of the table. Chelsea are still firmly in the driving seat, but stranger things have happened.

I was thinking that yesterday, Chelsea are firmly in the driving seat but seem to be losing their cool. Gallas's assault proved that yesterday. I think in our run in we are just as likely to beat Chelsea as we are Sunderland(That sounds insane but we know what Rovers are like with Crap teams).

perhaps ive been a little harsh with Arsenal but they have a young team, I think Spurs will wobble as will Rovers. Chelsea will be pushed close by the scum.

In a very miniscule way this boycott is going to be as about as good as those who chose to boycott the Glazer bowl. Sure those who do boycott the game have the best intentions to heart BUT we can't forget that Liverpool is one of the best supported teams in the UK and for that reason when the regulars don't snap up their tickets, Im pretty sure some other scousers will.

Dont big club have to play Notlob twice in the last couple of weeks, that could be a ace card for AFC Horwich.
