  1. If it's true and we have pulled out of the deal for the American then for all we know there could be a good reason that benefits/affects our club i.e. someone better, terms were unrealistic, Wharton deal off so can't afford it. I'll wait for some clarification before assuming the worst.

i hope adam keeps to the football side and not the girls, booze and betting one

I'm the complete opposite. I hope he ends up an influencer, drunk, on drugs, and broke. Then we can laugh at how much money we've made! 😉

Just kidding. I hope he smashes it.

I have zero problem with the transfer and not sure why people would. He's exactly what we've been crying out for all season in regards to leadership and experience.

I think it's an excellent signing. As the above + it also means we can take our time in the summer to recruit the right people rather than pay a fee well over market rate in the next 24hrs for a player we may not have done our due diligence over that might cost us in the long run.

Bloody hell... if we sign him, just get behind the lad 👍

This is classic football reverse psychology. We are slagging him off now before he signs so that he goes on to prove us all wrong. Come the end of the season, we'll all be wearing red, white and blue Uncle Sam outfits, waving American flags, chanting USA! USA! USA! while pledging our allegiance to the Flag of the United States and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

  5. I think Wharton actually suits the Premier League more than the Championship. He will thrive with better players around him. At least he'll go and play games at Palace and continue to develop rather than move to a big club just to play in the reserves for 5 years. I think he could still have moved to a better team and played regularly in the summer but good luck to him.

  6. I think it's great that we drew Wrexham considering how popular they've become in recent years. I've enjoyed their TV show (only seen season 1 so far) and it's great that their main core fan base are getting rewarded with owners that seem to be giving a lot back to the club and community while coming across as respectful while doing so. They're owners we would all love to have engage with us fans - I mean, at this point I'd take our owners just flipping their middle fingers at us just so we can see any communication!

More importantly, I also see it as a good opportunity for us to go through to the next round and to make some memories and much needed money that could help towards funding another non-scoring striker on deadline day 😂 I am hoping it's a great game, good atmosphere, and an easy win. Let's make sure we feature on an episode with us looking like the Holly(e)wood stars.

I can't remember us having a worst set of striking options. Gally, Ennis, Vale, Telalovic, Dolan, Leonard. That has to be the worst in many decades.

I am probably definitely in the minority here but I still think if Gallagher got fit (I know I know) and was just told to focus purely on being the number 9 striker and do NOTHING else but be a selfish p***k in front of goal then I think he could still turn it around. I'd even tell him to come into training and just kung-fu kick Doris the tea lady on a daily basis just to lose the nice tag he has.

I think the issue is that we need to recruit a few players who are willing to flip out and be more aggressive in the changing room. We have a bunch of really nice guys representing the club. As much as I love the group we have, you need someone to get stuck into them on the pitch. We don't have that and it shows when the heads drop.

  8. If they were all suddenly transparent, in particular historical transfers and wages, then I'm sure a lot of clubs might get exposed for dodgy dealings 😂

I think the MLS show their salaries due to various capping rules and regulations. I remember seeing one good player for Seattle Sounders on less than me a year and I felt very sorry for him considering he was one of the better players at the time.

Yep - as predicted a horrendous career move for him, purely motivated by tripling his wages.

I always want former Rovers players to do well, especially when they're liked by the supporters, but you can't help but think this move mirrored Connor Mahoney and Callum Wright's moves to the Premier League.

Tottenham were never going to play him, we all saw it, but unfortunately it's hard to turn down a move to the Premier League to stay at a club like ours. The annoying thing is that had he stayed with us for another couple of seasons, he would have gained good valuable match experience and would have moved to the Premier League anyway and most likely to play each week there. Now he will bounce around the teams in the Championship on loan (if he does well) until he's sold on when he no longer qualifies as a youngster when Tottenham enter what players need to be registered to play.
