i was more than unhappy with tugay being offered a new contract in the last couple off seasons, but this season he has returned to his best and has had some brilliant games as well as some very poor games.he SHOULD be playing like gordon cowans did for us the 1st season in the premier except cowans had a great player in sherwood alongside him not bloody lily [i can run for miles ]savage like toogs has to suffer.i am still waiting to know what savage brings to our team

WELL at work i said if you turned up at ewood last night and did not know who was bottom off the league and who was tenth, you would be no clearer at 10pm.it was like watching accy stanley under 11's last night, miss placed passes, bad contol and up and under footie[they were the good points]. bellamy 2nd goal did not belong in this game, absolutley brilliant, worth the entrance fee £13 with st.pater will be awesome, lets hope spurs are in for mgp in the summer 5 mill and routledge

lets get back on topic, apart from chelski man utd arsenal and maybe liverpoo the other teams in the premier are very much of a muchness.every team is capable off beating one another,it has been said IF we beat sunderland we can go as high as 7th or maybe 6th depending on west ham tomorrow night.before the season started i hoped for a better finish than last season, tbh we are safe now can't see 3 teams getting 37pts. now comes the crunch do we go for europe!!!!tbh i reckon we have no chance,do we stick with the same players and try to finish as high as possible.do we give lucas and emu a rest before the world cup?do we blood a few youngsters? -

pater was involved yes but surely he should have started,i do not like playing players out off position, and emerton has only the world cup on his mind now.having watched 2 off the 3 games at ewood in the fa youth cup,i understand your point, about none being good enough. i think nolan and thomson the cb's were pretty good, but maybe not good enough to dislodge our 3 present centrebacks.barker is a big centre forward, but has he gone to belgium?taylor is at qpr but could be recalled, hodge in midfield looked very tidy. the most impressive striker in the youth set up was clarke. -

i am the biggest advocate off youth but when times are hard which they certianly are now,2 million a year is a lot off money to lay out for little return.forget duff and dunn they were at the rovers pre academy, happen we could go back to pre academy status.maybe we over trianing these lads, maybe they are not allowed to blossom in there own way?i have had the fortune to visit the academy before sparky did his changes and i have a few views on there methods but the academy must be in danger if our gates keep dropping, and we have to keep making cuts -

the big problem is blooding the players in the 1st team,it looks like danns may have been let go a little early, but producing in the 3rd division is a long way from the premier.i honestly believe once the season is over,no relagation we should be giving young lads a go,ok some might say we can make europe, and 500k place but as philip says the academy has to produce players.if the lads do not get a chance we will never know if they are good enough, maybe the club should shut the academy down and but the 2 million a year into the transfer kitty, and pick up other academy rejects as squad players,we could pick up 2 bentleys a season -
