  1. Another 7th. Guess the loons in Pune are happy now. At the same time Eustace did the business for Derby. They’ll be competing at the top of the table next season while we stay heartbroken.

Despite a strong end to the season I’m not convinced by Valerian. I’ll give him benefit of the doubt, but something was sorely lacking today. We had that something under Eustace, but his departure absolutely stopped all momentum we had despite a period of poor results (because of backroom shenanigans). This is on the administration and the owners. This was a bigger chance than under Mowbray. ALL other results went our way. This is down to poor managment at every level.

Time to take the dog for a walk, soak myself in alcohol and try to forget this insane rollercoaster of season. My head hurts when trying to sum up the season.

Still I 100% appreciate this forum and those battling travelling supporters who make football enjoyable for those of us who can’t attend. You are the true heart and soul of the club, and made of some stuff I can’t comprehend.

  2. Great performance from the back four and Toth. Batth back to his brilliant self. Just need some of that tenacity up top as well. Sheffield United is the better team and earlier in the season this would’ve been a good result, but we need something special today. Would love for Gueye to come in and score with a towering header at 90+3, but by then it’ll probably be all over. Still….better than I hoped for!

Roll on 2nd half. We are still in this and as long as it’s 0-0 the chance is there. If Sheff U score I think it’ll be game over. Keep the faith if you can. This is one of those instances beer is made for!

  3. After taking a much needed brake from football I just can’t help myself anymore. And what a day to come back for! Lots of action in both ends of the league and Rovers in with a shot off playoffs.

Still struggling to whip up some real enthusiasm, but hopefully that will change over the course of the match. Not expecting it to be honest, but stranger things have happened. So…onwards and upwards. COYB!!!!

  4. So I decided to come back and give my beloved Rovers another chance other than checking results and text updates. Who are these guys? I recognize the name but not the player. This is heartbraking if nothing else. I knew that Eustace leaving would have an impact, but come on…this is pathetic. Headless chickens. And every time the camera pans to Ismael Valerian I fell pissed off and despondent.

Well….here´s hoping that against all odds that we conjure up some magic in 2nd half and let jim2k have his first win of the season. Onwards and….ehhr…..

  5. We will probably win more points this season and end in 12th, but I won’t be there to see it. I had planned a trip over late april, but don’t need to travel to feel miserable as I can do that just fine at home. Once again I’m just deflated. No real anger or heart. Just empty.

So….I’m logging off for now at least. Best forum on the internet for a club run by the worst fucking people. Stay strong fellow roverites! See ya in a full moon or two.

  6. This is just stupid. Why kill the momentum we had earlier in the season? Why change a winning team now that players are back from injury? This was a well drilled unit who now looks like headless chickens and bleeding goals for fun. I might, just might, be able to stand this for 90+ mins. I’m not very optimistic though. Venkys out!
