Insetad the middle of the season would define the entire season based on injuries. It's not the January window's fault things are shit here, it's bellend chicken farmers in India.
That is just the point. Keep transfers to the summer and make owners plan for an entire season. Injuries and suspensions is part of the game. Plan accordingly. Or tell the fans that we can always fix it in january and what we have is probably good enough anyway. Repeat ad nausem. I stand by my previous post: it’s stupid.

This january window business is just getting stupider and stupider every season. Not just at Rovers but cross the entire EFL. This season EVERYONE needs a striker or a forward. And the respective owners of clubs just dally along promising strikers, Ronaldhinio or the next Haaland whether you are in League 2 or PL. A way to balance the books perhaps? Keep putting things off? A way for the relegated clubs to use their financial muscle to steal players from competing clubs? I don’t care anymore.
So please just go back to transfers only in summer. That way the respective owners will have to plan for the entire season, and not just wait and see if things are ok come january. It is the same shitshow every season and it is just getting worse. We - fans and supporters and particulary those that travel - deserve better and need to know that the middle of the season won’t define the entire season based on transfers…..like losing your top striker or midfielder to another club to keep the lights on. It is just stupid so stop it!
But by all means I would love some mouthwatering transfers in january, but the more I think about it I’d rather have that player at the start of the (pre-)season. This thing is just disruptive and dumb. Get it over with and roll on with the rest of the season. Give me a couple of wins and all is forgiven. Rant over.

Site is all wonky and I can't post from the iPad. Tried Chrome, Firefox and Brave on the pad. Posting from android phone now, but still looks off.
Brilliant first half! Who is this new striker? Gueye?

Bah. Sometimes I hate this sport and to some extent this club, and that time is now. After an encouraging and exciting start to the season the owners lack of interest once again puts us at a disadvantage. Same thing each season no matter the manager. If I want to see a groundhog day play out every year I’d rather watch the movie, but here we are.
I also know that some of the smarter heads on here warned us about this at the start of the season. Such a small squad will be seriously hampered by injuries and suspensions sooner rather than later. Betting on everyone of the first 11 being able to play 40+ games over a season is like taking your life savings, going to Las Vegas and put everything on 42. If it works out….great. But! Most likely you’ll lose everything. Venkys is the player coming back once a year thinking «This time!». It’s a poor mans gamble and seldom pays off and it is just stupid the more you think about it.
If they only understood what effect a decent signing or two will have for the manager, the squad and the fans. Particulary those heroes that travel to away games in the middle of january on a tuesday. No need to break the bank. Just give these guys a budget and let them have at it. Stop this nonsense every january. If you won’t spend any money then come out and tell us. Not Waggott. Not Pasha. Effing Venkys. Have some balls (pun intended) and show your faces to the fans who spend their hard earned money on this shitshow.
So to sum up I’ve more or less given up on any meaningful signing this window. No matter what name is brought up, manager likes and wants him, still Venkys need to sign the check…..if they have time…or can muster the will to drag their heads out of their asses. Fuck football. Fuck Venkys!!!

This is just pitiful. Missing so many players due to injuries in a much to small squad.

What the hell Pears? Hope we can pull another miracle and come back from this

Pears keeping us in this. Need to make some changes.

That was a kick to the balls we didn't need. Both Trondstad and Travis out. Sigh...

I’m thinking the upcoming fixtures including this one is close to impossible to predict. Fatigue will be a problem sooner rater than later so I’m expecting a cautious approach from Eustace. Important to try and avoid suspensions and injuries and at the same time being competitive. So I’ll gladly take 0-0 and a boring game if we come out the other end unscathed. A point away from home is always good. Hoping for another 3 points and 3 goals, but head doesn’t quite agree. Still: COYB!!!!
-
Different team after the subs. Gueye really made a difference today. In hindsight perhaps Eustace was right with his lineup to spare some players considering games coming up. Brilliant 3 points and good to get some goals. Brittains was a peach. Think he also is my man of the match. Onwards and upwards! Back in fifth. Oxford next brimming with confidense. Long may it continue and pretty please buy some players!
