  1. Ive watched almost every Rovers game live on TV this season and I have to say that Neill has other than the game against Liverpool been fiery, committed and tough as usual. However, since he has been playing left back he is much much more better going forward than defending, which was I think the opposite at right back.

You are forgetting that we are playing him at left back. But his performances have been decent and he gives us much better solidity at the back than Gray.

  2. Doubt we will sign the Moroccan.

I wonder what Lucas Neill will say to explain his move to West Ham...New challenge, bigger club, club with tradition, they belong in the top 6, the chairman is looking to invest, Im sure we will survive otherwise I wouldnt have joined, etc...

Ya ya ya we have heard it all before!

  3. Great news. But I cant see this being so far off the deal Bolton had agreed. We just probably dont want to make it official and show our hand in the transfer market.

Just been over his stats and Dunn managed 75% of the games we had played in every season until he moved to Brum where his long-term injuries started. Some people seem to forget that. Whatever it is, be it motivation, hunger, etc.. I hope he regains it here and we see the best of him again.

Anything on when he could actually start playing for us according to Sparky?

  4. Just read Big Sams quotes. Dunny is 27 now, more mature, and I dont think he will work with a better coaching team than the current Rovers one. He knows he will have to win his place in the team, and who better to play next to than Tugay.

IF his injury troubles are behind him Im sure we will see his best. There is no laziness in this regime and no place for lazy players and Im sure Sparky will be explaining all this to Dunn.

It all reads like a fantasy story, star midfielder injured, prodigal son returns home to take his place. Will it have a happy ending? :)

  5. I think this is the kind of risk that clubs in our position have to take. I cant see us forking out 3-4 million for a proven midfielder the way our spending has been taking place over the past year or so, so I see this as a realistic move for us, considering our financial situation and our league standing.

If it works out, then we got a player worth 5 million at least, and if it doesnt then we lost 1 million pounds and I have seen us WASTE much more on much less players.

  6. I hate how its a double-edged sword...

It isnt a coincidence that our falling gates have been met with less spending by our board. Under the first few years of Souness' reign, Id think that we were among the biggest spenders outside the top 4, and we were averaging Id say about 3-5 thousand more fans a game, if not more.
