How can we ever say he will never be as good as Duff?How do you know?He is only 21-22 and 4 years younger than Duff,4 years is a long time.

Also,what I meant to say about him not going in straight to solving our left side,was that we shouldnt expect him to play well week in week out.He is young and moving to a new country,which isnt easy!But that doesnt mean he cant perform well at all.We just have to be realistic about a young foreigner.

I think the speculation over his future has probably been one reason to his recent performances.

Im sure he will be a star in the future,and he could do a good job for us right now too.As long as we get him in and can still afford a good center back ill be delighted with our summer.

We have two choices,get a young,ambitious,potentially great player who hasnt proven himself at the highest level and let him do that with us,Like MGP OR get an older,much older,most likely 30ish left winger,who already proved himself long ago but most likely past his peak,who can give us 1 or 2 years max,someone like De Pedro.

We cant get someone in between those two,because they will be at their peak and will cost us alot more than 1-2 million,people like Rothen.

Left sided players are always hard to find,but potentially MGP can be one very good player,he is young,motivated,ambitious.

I would love Rothen at our team,but thats a dream.

I think he is an average player who can score 5-8 goals next year,I do believe that it doesnt IMPROVE our team BUT im content because I ASSUME that the club are going to spend all of our funds on a central defender and left winger which are higher priorities for sure!If we end up with disappointing signings in those areas too,then we can all complain!
