Seeing them at Download the week before. I think they are headlining the second stage while Emo Kids My Chemical Romance get bottled on the main stage.

Quite like the Pearl Jam cover of the Who's Love Reign on mr thats going around at the moment

Love Reign O'er Me? A bit pompous, but I love the part where Eddie screams out the chorus.

    Myspace

Still gutted I didn't get tickets to Pearl Jam for the upcoming tour..

  2. We are capable, but it's impossible to predict anything. With Gamst suspended we'll probably play without wingers at all, so it's basically down to Carew or set pieces. I'm hoping that Hareide will dare to give a talented youngster like Fredheim Holm a start here, but from experience I've learned never to believe in Hareide to do what I want him to do - it's probably John Arne Riise as leftwing/star/shoot-from-every-angle-within-fifty-yards and a sh1t leftback instead.

  3. herbergeehh might have a different opinion than me though..

    I might.

Didn't get to see the whole game due to work, but stood ringside for the last twenty minutes (I work at Ullevaal). Carew was excellent from what I've heard, and Gamst got a pretty good review too. We're missing a top goalscorer though (Solskjær being injured) and our fullbacks should not be allowed to pass anywhere but to our midfielders - it's like watching Bolton at times. We're playing a central midfielder on the right side of midfield and Gamst on the left, it doesn't really bode well for explosive runs down the wings..

Anyway, my work day kinda' took a different turn when the firealarm went off in the whole stadium, thanks for the fireworks.

  4. I think Wild at Heart is a wicked movie, he's fine in that. As well as The Rock. (I haven't seen Raising Arizona and didn't really like Snake Eyes).

He just plays the same character in each film, as far as I can see. I don't think he has any Shakesperian pretensions, but who gives a toss, the films are fun.

    Leaving Las Vegas?

  5. I don't see that happening at all. First of all I think Benitez will have plenty of cash to spend on a top class striker, and I would be surprised if David Villa or Fernando Torres wasn't his first choice. Plus; Benni has played for a lot of clubs and has a lot of experience - his interviews certainly hasn't sounded like he's after another run in a top team.

  6. With a certain risk of sounding like an idiot: Could it be that a professional footballer knows better how to use his legs, even when coming on as a sub, than to run mindlessly all over the pitch at all times? We're in some ways very privilegied to have had Shefki, Dickov and Bellamy as our main strike force last season, they always run and they'll always be a nuisance. However, running for lost causes isn't necessarily a good thing.. That's a general statement by the way, and I am fully aware that Derbyshire's enthusiasm is somewhat proof of the opposite. But I don't think we should blindfold ourselves on work ethic - there is actually a thing called clever movement and perhaps clever use of energy.

  7. I very much agree with you, Mr.Fleming. The Arctic Monkeys are one of this year's definitive favourites, I've always thought that Brits in general are too sick and tired of listening to music like that tbh. Loving the lyrics too, and they are sung - like he really thinks they're important. :)

Just got back from seeing a Norwegian blues/rock guitarist called Bjørn Berge, bloody amazing level of noise from a single guitar player. (twelve-string guitar)

Did a cracking version of "Ace of Spades", I will always cherish anyone who's able to act out Lemmy and his whole band on his own..

    Updated: Fresh live miniconcert

  8. I've just bought a ticket for the Roger Waters show in Manchester, in May. I can't believe I've payed £50 for the pleasure, but from what I've read it's an astonishing show. If you're a Floydie it's going to be one not to miss - Dark Side Of The Moon in full, plus his own stuff. I was totally dumbfounded by Pink Floyd at Maine Road in '88, I just need this to complete the set!

I'm also looking forward to yet another encounter the genius that is Roy Harper, in Darwen, of all places, the night after.

I can vouch for that, even without Gilmour. Fantastic show, enjoy!
