I can still be "forever blue", that is the colour of my blood.
When the cost becomes more than you can afford, and the FA make following football more expensive, it can become impossible.
Maybe you grow money on trees ?
Personally my blood is red or blue. Where do u get your oxygen from if your blood is all blue.
From your
I took you to mean football in general, whereas you meant purely give in to paying the money.give it all in.I have to say that with tegards to football I have a lot more issues than to complain about the FA ballsing things up for our first FA cup semi final in 45 yrs.
No matter what the FA do this is a day to savour and enjoy. We all knew what to expect, we just never expected to need to expect it ourselves.
Complain about Premiership prices and Sky but for once enjoy the fact we are in a FA cup semi final.

Also in regard to you signature
Rovers(forever blue)
yet you say
After over 25 years of watching football, I feel compelled to give it all in. -
My point is that if they are emailing and doing flyers then perhaps they should also consider mailshots.
With the new season ticket card they should know which season ticket holders did not turn up. Those people should get the details mailed to them.
The same should also be posible for frequent ticket purchasers who dont turn up on Saturday.

And if you dont have the internet and cant get to the Arsenal match?
-
Mokoena did well in the centre of midfield – he looks more a holding midfielder than a centre half (what we initially got him for).
Did we though? Hughes said he wanted to bring in players who would be first teamers. Since Todd had made 1 CB berth his own, there was only one going, Nelsen has that.
Perhaps Hughes had allways seen Mokoena in that holding defensive midfield role.

Streakyb, the FA are responsible for the Premier League too and are getting the royal shaft.
From the EPL site
The FA Premier League is owned by 20 Shareholders - the member clubs, whose membership in the league is dependent on the performance of their football team in the Barclays Premiership. The shareholders meet quarterly. Any shareholder can table a motion to be discussed at the meeting. Each shareholder is entitled to one vote and all rule changes and major commercial contracts require the support of two thirds of the clubs voting at a general meeting.
The Football Association is also a special shareholder. They have the right of veto in certain crucial areas, such as the appointment of Chairman and Chief Executive and promotion and relegation, but have no say on other areas of FA Premier League work.
It is in the main a separate entity to the FA, owned by the clubs.
its aims
The FA Premier League must:Manage, continually improve and be regarded as the world’s best league football competition - on and off the field.
Increase interest in our competitions, promote accessibility to live games and ensure that media exposure is used to optimum effect.
Generate increased commercial value, using the resulting revenues to further enhance our competitions and strengthen the long-term future of the FA Premier League and its clubs.
Use our power and influence responsibly to improve the game in this country and abroad through partnership with the FA, UEFA and other bodies.
Create a quality of competition that provides a platform from which our member clubs can achieve unparalleled success in European or World competitions.
Use our resources to develop playing talent that will provide for international success with the England team at all levels - with the status of World Champions being the realistic goal.
In other words it aims is to make as much money as it cans for its 20 shareholders.
But as you say, this is for another thread

......
"It's an unavoidable fact that as the major funding body in football we have a responsibility to the long term future of the game, this future needs funding."
A tacit admission from the FA that they've chosen Cardiff for their own selfish reasons - to earn more revenue for themselves
.........
B*llox. It's been ruined by greed.
I agree that the semis should not be at Cardiff but one point has to be made, thats where the money is going.
With the premiership the money goes back to the clubs, the better you do in it, the more you get. This is greed and will make the big club better and richer to the long term detriment of football.
There is a difference with the FA cup.
The FA is a not for profit organisation. All money they make goes back into the sport at all levels. The more money they make, the more they can put into the sport. Therefore The Fa making more money for themselves actually mean making more money for fooball in this country.
The main issue is that The FA fuc$ed up over Wembley and suddenly realised they needed to increase revenue so that they can pay their debts and still put money into grass roots.
Wembely was not a football decision, it was political one. I am sure the current government made it clear they would not be happy if the national stadium was not in London. Whereas most fans would have preffered it more central and I doubt the clubs really cared where it was.
afterthought
The FA also have to pay that that useless overpaid pillock of an England manager who makes the pi$$ about with the FA Cup and loves playing stupid pointless friendlies. Does anyone really give a damn about England.

todd, nelsen and....? and yeah they're good but against the henrys and van nistelrooys of this world excellent doesnt really describe them unfortunately!
Have you seen them play against them somehow? Thought that the ManU and Arsenal games coming up will be the first time that the pairing of Todd and Nelsen will have faced these players.
I will wait untill after those matches before commentating on how well they can handle players like that. Hopefully they will make you eat your words (but I'm not going to put money on it)

Yaaawn. ZZZZzzzzz.
You still reading this thread? You must obviously not find it boring if you keep reading the new posts.
Fully agree with Captain Kayos on this one. If you feel something needs to/should change then you need to continue in active debate to try and get a change.
-
I have no objection to separate standing areas but reaping up all the boring arguments on this board again will achieve nothing.
We have no influence with the powers that be whatsoever.
If people want to debate it, let them. If you find it boring, don't read the thread.

Oh, and imagine that the seat hadn't been there to stop you, you'd have either fallen into someone(s) and knocked them over, or fallen onto your face.
No, because you would have somehwere to stumble and the person infront would be closer soyou would stop before you have buil up mnomentum. At least that is what I have found when I have been on terracing at lower league clubs.
-
. Surely they have shown enough for you to believe they can easily take care of a struggling Nationwide club.
What? Like we easily took care of Burnley?
We should win but I have seen enough of rovers v variable performance ro think that we could lose.
-
Reading some sunday papers they said it was a boring game and everton were unlucky, and we were lucky to win. Must have been a different game from the one i was watching.
When will we ever get any credit?
Given the match was on Sunday I am impressed that the papers had a match report before we played
-
In the press he's hailed Ryan as his 'greatest ever signing'....am i being daft or doesn't that only extend to 3 players?
4 signings
Djorkeaff (spelling?)
Nelsen
Mokeana
Savage

I blame Mark Hughes for Stead playing poorly!

When the argument is lost,
I felt that it was still pretty healthy and ongoing. You didnt answer his perfectly valid points though.
Did you come across hostile with regard to Williams as you do here or were you, a befitting a good journalist, neutral and impartial and perhaps also airing the views of the dissatified and asking for his comments?
-
Who here did not get their season ticket seats?
Who here did not manage to get the tickets they wanted (excluding people who wanted groups and left it to the last minute)?
-
... but on past experience I wouldn't bet on it.
Which past ticketing experiences were these?
And as Finn said. They could solve the problem overnight as most clubs have but realised that fans wouldnt be happy with ticket master. This means it has taken longer to implement.
Finally, for the one game every four years or so, I think we should just learn to be patient and not make this the highest priority for the club to spend money on. Our ticketing is, as Finn said, is normally highly rated by the fans.
But some people will complain about this as they want Williams out so will find something negative at all times rather than the positives.

Hes been dubbed the 'norwegian David Beckham' for almost his whole career, think it was the Norwegian press that started that...
Is he dubbed that because of how he plays or because he is a talented player who Norwegians like to have pin ups of.

Does BBC have live commentary of the match again? I'm not seeing anything online... so for everyone who's not going tonight, how are you following the match online?
Its on Radio rovers and Five Live Extra.

Strictly speaking a tackle from behind is foul play if its dangerous, so that would be all slides and any hacks if you are standing
