  1. Just a thought, if Tosin has a quota of games to play and he can play RB, TM might put him in. Ball playing RB anyone? That said, don't think Bennett would be dropped.

As for Gally, wouldn't mind seeing Chapman there. Need to get the kids sharpish to learn from the pros like Downing. Hope Hart and Nyambe are taking notes from Cunningham.

For Travis, really should be viewed as a first team player by now. Surely not easy to give his level of performance game after game, considering what we had been treated with in the past (read JLowe, Akpan etc). Seems to be amongst the top 3 to 5 performers every time and we should be very happy with that. He can still progress and here's hoping he does. Can learn some of the dark arts from Johnson. Oh yah, what happened to Davenport?

Great start so far.. Cunningham is really impressive. Him and Johnson have massively improved this team. Only negative for me so far is Gallagher out wide - he is doing okay, but he is not a winger and feels wasted out there.

Cunningham providing goal threat and confidence on the left. Not too bad work on the right by gally too

He was bloody awful. No where near good enough at right back. For me, Bennett is much better.

For the Oldham match, TM was not flattering about the defence and probably rightly so. However, you have to look at the shield (or lack thereof) of the two defensive CMs there. Yes, talking about Evans and Richie. With two defensive CMs, you would expect the defence to be helped but without that aid, it was raining men. Cue players galloping back scenes

A lot of huff and puff and passing square, but left us exposed when charging forward and totally so for their first goal, where he was nowhere. Other than that, top bloke... :(

Perfect then if you have Chapman in front of him. One is still learning about football and tracking back (before he was broken and sent back to Boro last season) and the other may be much more comfortable just defending. Let them meet at the halfway line.

  5. Doesn’t look good for rothwell chances. Might be dropped on the basis of yesterday’s performance.

On the plus side, Tosin looks such an improvement over what we already had and against that Fulham frontline. He was giving some verbals to Travis etc. Bennett looked better than last week it has to be said but did slip for the second. All need to knuckle down ahead. Still think we will be so much stronger once we get nyambe, Cunningham and lenihan back sharpish.

will seriously judge after 5 matches, if its at least three points after 5 matches, would give TM until 10 matches to see if we can up the ratio. If it’s zero points after 5-6 matches, not sure if I can hold my nerves for 10 matches.
