Feel like mentioning Sam Gallagher is still rubbish. Loses the ball every single time he has it, terrible target man, creates nothing and never makes anything close to a good run. I've seen the statistic that says we win with him in the squad but as I've said all along we need Brereton-Diaz in that central role.

Huge call starting Vale and Hedges tbh. I didn't see Hedges as the type that fitted with the high press, high energy/intensity game plan?
Hedges played more than anyone during pre-season so I think JDT must fancy him

If we're just chucking about Norwegians then why not Henning Berg?

Always slightly annoys me when people call us 'Blackburn' but he's got time to learn. He seems screwed on in the interview tbh and if we appoint Knutsen I think I might actually be excited about Rovers for once.

Might be time to consider the Queen's Park manager from up in Scotland. Took over mid-season and guiding them to the Championship for the first time in decades.

Well Sharpe's pretty adamant on a few things in that report, which is quite unlike him.......
Has Mark Fotheringham been mentioned at all in relation to our job? Said he wants to manage an English club in recent reports.....cheap, contract at Hertha expired - some boxes being ticked and I bet he's applied.
Xabi Alonso? Recently left Real Sociedad B and has a promotion on his CV.
In fairness to Sharpe he's usually not great about who might be signed (and with this search clearly nobody is) but after he's ruled somebody out you can usually expect that that's true.

If Andy Bayes is to be believed in that there will be more interviews conducted after the bank holiday then we might see some of the names mentioned like Unsworth and Ferguson given an interview...
-
Saw us linked with Ferguson then somebody who's 'close' to him poured cold water all over that and now all of a sudden we're being linked with David Unsworth. Was there some confusion with them both being associated with Everton? Personally I'm not keen on either of them.

The rule of three seems to suggest the link is a tad flimsy but I would certainly be happy if we signed him.

Lowe Benson and Venus are all hopefully moving on. Johnson I’m not bothered about if he fancies going back to the under 23s maybe. We need a new manager and his own choice of backroom staff.
Aye, can't see Venus staying since he's Mowbray's but Lowe and Benson are Pre-Mowbray I believe and the fact that there has been no announcement about any of there futures worries me a bit.

I'm hoping we'll get a new goalkeeping coach with the new manager. An ex-professional instead of someone who couldn't make it at Carlisle. Even back in the days of Raya he would make the same sort of mistakes like kicking it into touch five times a game and being noticeably weak against shots that came across him and it never seemed to be coached out of him whilst he was here.

Not exactly Rovers related but I do think it's quite an important occasion in English Football.

Farke is holding out for a top flight job that he probably won't get given his lacklustre record in the premier league. I think the fact that it would be a great appointment for us probably rules him out of actually coming here given our owners.
I guess we can only speculate (i.e. guess) but it seems that Carvahal is keen to take a job in England again and Hughton is probably interested in finding a club to restore his reputation with after his poor spell at Forrest. I have reservations about these two but I wouldn't immediately write them off either.

Rothwell isn't a loss especially with Dack coming back to fitness. Sure he could take it round a player or two but he'd usually get too excited and run into a third. Very seldom did he get his head up and make a great pass or get a good shot off which is a shame because he got into some great positions but then he'd waste the opportunity which is reflected by his goal and assist count.
'Flatters to deceive' will be his legacy here I think.

haha must be mistaking them for another side, nevertheless he wouldn't be up there for me, seem to remember the rot had set in for Derby under him although on the other hand it could've been a sign of the troubles that were coming for them.
-
Cocu's derby County was a very very poor side, we beat them 3-0 here iirc and they were probably the worst team to come to Ewood that season. Clearly I'm not alone in my judgement of his managerial ability because he was sacked shortly afterwards and hasn't managed a team since.
-
Anyone have any idea what happened with Harry Chapman, looks like we gave him a new contract last season to save face about forgetting we didn't have an option to extend his contract. What a debacle.

Nixon saying we want to loan Pears out and bring in another number 2
It's Nixon so take it with a pinch of salt but if it's true then Pears truly has been a pointless, jobs for the boys signing. No doubt our new number two will be another Teeside waster.

Harry Pickering had a stand out performance for me which was impressive given the quality of the rest of the team.
