  1. 4-0

Nothing has changed since February 2017. Scandinavian Mowbray.

Can someone tell me the last season Rovers didn't lose to a team that ended up getting relegated. We gift shit teams wins every year like we're Father fucking Christmas. Wycombe, Oldham, Rotherham multiple times, not to mention the teams currently 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 24th have already beaten us this season.

    Embarrassing!!

  2. As an aside, the transfer window for Premier League clubs is flabbergasteing. Chelsea paying £35m+ (on a contract to 2030) on a player I bet 99% of people on this board has never heard of. I certainly ain't.

Yet Chelsea (and the rest) still want CH, L1 and L2 teams to cover wages to loan their players - that would be the first rule of football I'd change. Every week you see a player subbing on in the EPL with a squad number in the 70's or 80's FFS.

Rule: If loaning to a domestic based team in a league below, parent club covers 100% of wages. End of discussion.

  3. Does Van Hecke qualify for tribunal compensation if he leaves on a free? Would be one of the smartest signings in our recent history. Brighton would be smarter to ask for £0 and a sell on % then sell him for £1m.

As others have said, Ayala has 6 months left at Rovers. At 33, he won't take a 1 year deal and no way we offer a multi year deal at his wage.

Van Hecke, Hyam, Wharton as starting options, with Phillips and Carter in reserve would be an immense central defense room.

Dare I say, this has Sunderland written all over it.

  4. The red card was about as aggressive as when two opponents slap each other's arses after a challenge or when a keeper playfully slaps a teammate on the back of the head. It was naive - sure, but how that can be deemed a red when the players laughed after. The ref went with the advice he was given and probably isn't best pleased when he sees it back.

Good job that 4th official wasn't at the World Cup (especially Argentina vs Holland) as that game would have been abandoned due to 29 red cards. The Argentina player literally smashed the ball at the Dutch bench after a foul, and wasn't even booked for it (Booked for the foul). Shambles officiating by a Billy Big Bollocks 4th official.

  5. As all have said, Mola defensively is as suspect and out of his depth as they come as a LB. Though dare I say (as an option) as the LWB in the infamous back 5 formation, he could be okay. Brennan Johnson and Nico Williams are good players.

Wharton (Scott) has been utterly woeful too. Yes he scored, but his defending has regressed to Owen Coyle era this Autunm/Winter.

Markanday is no worse than Dolan for what I've seen here.

If we can stop defending like we're 1-0 down in the 90th minute, we might have a chance here. Forest look suspect in defense.

  6. Think we all expect a defeat here, but I'm desperately hoping for some improvement - especially in XG -and of course avoiding the stupid suicidal defensive possession/mistakes.

Looking at that XI, if Gallagher isn't the 1 in a likely 4-2-3-1 formation I despair.

Just to put some fear in the group... JRC was RCB with Ayala in training this week, imagine if it's Dolan RWB and JRC playing as a CB in a back 5! ☠️

  7. As much as you'll take 0-0 at half time, we need to do better. Suicidal play at times sprinkled in with good solid defending and daftness.

They are not in Fulham 2021-2022 quality. Burnley 100% should have a penalty and a worldie save from Kaminski - all brought on by brainless foul on Travis. Brereton WAS fouled, but you never get those.

Garrett and Morten struggling. Front 2 look capable, someone needs to realise direct football is how you beat these bastards.

Benson currently playing like Reda Khadra is helping us here.

Can we survive, will we improve?

Missing a striker for half our games this season is killing us.

His post-match interview gives me some hope on that front as even he can see it’s killing us not having that focal point.

Oh dear, you've got it all to come. It takes the Dinosaur a while to settle into his false 9, wide striker's, and general tombola team selections. I'd get prepared for 5'6" Pritchard as your (false) number 9 going forward. Least you have two amazing wingers to blitz balls into the box for him. If only you still had Danny Graham. 🤣

What you said about Roberts though is spot on, the guy was largely invisible in the first 45 mins, but for 30 mins in the 2nd half it was like watching prime Carlos Villanueva (in joke). But he was superb, just typical Tony having wingers and no striker's.
