Bought from Rovers' website, advertised as neutral commentators. I get two Leeds commentators talking about 'us' and mocking the absence of home fans. Thanks Roverstv.

If you don't mind me asking, would you normally have got an XL or a L?
It wasn't clear on the website at launch that sizing was different, can see them getting a few return requests
I'd be XL so just one size bigger. They had the changing rooms locked up so people were just trying them on in the shop! There'll definitely be plenty of returns. That's the reason I never buy clothes online anymore; it's just not worth the faff.
Not great quality. The badge in particular is unlikely to survive for long. We knew that about Macron really though and it doesn't need to survive that many match days.

As in people are buying both? That's good news!
Yep. One guy had 3 in his hand. Presumably one for a mate. I guess the people that usually buy both would be there on the first morning as opposed to those who'll drop in next week some time. Junior kits are there but no women's sizes. Training kit looked lovely so had a nosey at the price. £33. No thanks.

I can confirm that you would definitely need a bigger size than normal. I really stood out as the odd one out down there by only buying one shirt (the away). Even with the XXL, it isn't exactly loose around the chest and the arms are very clingy (I have muscles but nothing freakish). Overall, a lovely kit. The home kit is indeed a darker blue in person than the reveal.

In possibly a new record for failing to read the room, we now have the marvellous opportunity of watching the full 90 minutes against Bradford. Well, whoop-de-do...

Has a post on the official twitter ever got 10k likes, nevermind the current 13.4k for Brereton Diaz? We'd probably sell more shirts in Chile than England 😳
To be fair to them, @Rovers is taking the piss out of some guy who said they'd fail to achieve their target. At least one person down there has a bit of fight in them...

Recording artist Sabrina Washington has just murdered ‘Abide with me’ and the national anthem, let’s hope the final is better than that.
Cant see past a St Helens win.
Thought the same! There seem to be quite a lot of singers who want to put 'their spin' on anthems or traditional songs when they should be sung not only with gusto but so the crowd can join in too.

The sad individuals who've got so drunk already today, they won't even be able to watch the game. I mean, seriously, Bargain Booze and Wetherspoons will still be there tomorrow.
Plus dollops of mayonnaise always be mixed in with perfectly good tuna in 'tuna' sandwiches.

The closed off area means that you might want to walk up the hill towards the motorway or up Livesey Branch Rd towards the Brown Cow to get your taxi to Preston. I go the other way so not sure where the divide is. Golden Cup pub might be your best shot for a drink?
Love the drive to Swansea. A fun little blast over the Beacons and the Neath Valley, dinner in The George, ice creams in Joe's and a leisurely crawl back. Perfect.

My PC isn't showing the new site either. On the other hand, how different can it possibly be that I would find it fascinating?!

Just listening to the anthems in the background before the game.
It really gets to me that virtually every sporting event plays the anthem seemingly at double speed. Not only does this spoil it somewhat for fans trying to sing along, surely rushing the anthem is an insult to the nation? It is particularly obvious abroad at major championships, but the singer just then refused to speed up Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau to fit the tune. Props to him for doing it properly.
As for the game, I'd really hoped Bournemouth then Swansea beat Brentford but fair play to them. They're clearly better than their competitors and deserve to go up.

The definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. We need to forget all this building relationships stuff and focus on forcing them out. How is another question but there is no point trying to speak to people who will not speak back. I'd be keen to get on board with helping providing the aim was that, to force Venky's to sell at ANY cost, hell I'd be happy to end up banned from every ground in the UK, provided my actions/antics got rid of them. I'll burn an indian flag, chuck eggs on the pitch (I think 10000 of us all throwing eggs during a match would be poetic) but nothing will change until we force them to leave.
Throwing eggs may be a decent idea but can we agree not to go down the EDL/BNP mob 'Go back home' route? Can't think of anything more likely to lose all support at every level.

Fair play for trying but sorry I fail to see much impact from this.
Surely the bulk of sales are on kids sizes? Kids are still going to want them, unless they've lost interest over the past year or so. I do wonder though who's name kids would get on the back or their shirt right now, not many heroes out on that pitch especially with Dack sidelined and Armstrong probably off 🤔 When I was a kid it was bloody hard choosing just 1 player!
Then you'll get the usual Facebook Mowbrayites etc and people who want to wear their colours on a sun lounger in Benidorm - should restrictions ease anyway.
Not sure the financial impact of a few people off BRFCS making a vow not to purchase one, how many off here even do anyway?
An on the pitch protest is the only way for me I'm afraid, obviously that's a bit more intimidating though to most! In theory you don't need huge numbers to disrupt a game of football - 1 person can for a brief period.
This is why I don't think any of this is a good idea. No matter how good your intentions, you'll get some knuckle-draggers (Blackburn has more than its fair share) behaving like the thugs they are. Cue the wider football world dismissing any concerns as those of a minority of morons. We are not Man Utd. The media can afford to upset our fans as has been proven before.
Besides which, football is a sport. A hobby. No matter what anyone says, it isn't actually life and death. Breaking the law by trespassing or threatening others (staff members affected etc) because you don't enjoy your hobby at the moment is not the act of a rational person. We obviously all care about the current shambles but I imagine most care about a criminal record more. I know I do.
For the record, I would normally buy a shirt but not this season. Unless it's an ebayer who's managed to get some gear where the club don't get a cut.
-
Today was never about anything other than getting ready for next season and yet there are no youngsters (well, from the U23s) there. Bizarre. Of our starting 11, it is hard to point to many who would get into a promotion pushing side.
Will be gone: Armstrong, Harwood-Bellis, Nyambe
Should be gone: Bell, Johnson
Should do as backup squad players but will still be starters: Lenihan, Brereton, Gallagher
Could play for Swansea, Brentford etc: Kaminski, Travis, Rothwell (yes I know he's been rubbish today)
A very ugly season to come methinks...

Chose the team aspect of Goal F but would be happy with either of Rothwell's.

From an objective standpoint, Kaminski should have been sent off. When a defender is 'the last man', there is still a keeper in goal (1 person). Having another defender next to the foul (2 people) usually makes it a booking. This time, there was just the accompanying defender (1 person who couldn't use his hands to save a shot). Obvious red.
1-1 is a terrible score. Another game gone when we need a win to save ourselves but not a thrashing to see Mowbray gone. Meh...
-
In attack we are much more creative and can get the ball into the box from midfield with little fuss. Very enjoyable. We seem to turn possession into chances very quickly.
I thought it was striking that our main weakness was losing the ball when the full back was pushed way too far up the pitch. Both goals came from the gaping hole that the LB left. We also seem very keen to take short set pieces to the point that the Everton commentators straight up laughed at how badly wasted one free kick was.

Because our owners dont give a flying fuck about the club, as has been proven right throughout their time owning us.
He isnt as bad as Coyle or indeed Kean either. We are going backwards, he has long since overstayed his welcome, but he isnt as bad as those 2 and will have to do a lot to get to that stage.
He wasn't as bad as Coyle. Isn't though? I'm not sure (see above post for some thoughts)...

We have always said that he'll never be as bad as Kean or Coyle and this has been taken as fact. I think it is time to actually compare.
Compared to Kean:
1. No drink-driving lies or agent interference (known that is).
2. Players with family connections signed who are objectively not good enough (Myles Anderson / Aynsley Pears).
3. Results of the team are now worse than at any point then.
4. Odd (ludicrous) statements in the press which seem to defy logic.
5. Mowbray does have a managerial record of some sorts before taking over.
So he's not quite as bad (from a criminal standpoint if nothing else) but it is far closer than you'd at first think.
Compared to Coyle:
1. Previous promotion (Coyle with Burnley, Mowbray with West Brom).
2. Tumbling down the league without any seeming halt.
3. No link to Burnley I suppose.
4. Promotion from League 1 (we cannot know if Coyle would have done the same or not).
I would say that he is on a par with Coyle for utter hopelessness but has the potential to get worse if he keeps up this arrogant 'journey' nonsense. Again, it's worrying how he seems to be in company with the worst managers in our history when you ignore emotion.

Mowbrays Successor

Tell me we're not reduced to considering tweets from someone known as 'White Boy Rick'!
It's actually no surprise that fans are desperate for SOMETHING to change. All fans accept that all managers have a shelf-life but the logical extension that the end might be near seems to cause so much controversy and denial with some of us. If Watford are one extreme, we certainly seem to have become the other. Oh to be normal once again...
