Yet another tale of heroic English failure. Good but always not quite good enough. I've been watching it for 60 years and it's depressing. No doubt there'll be another screw-up in the cricket tomorrow.
The US played a high pressing game and forced England into errors - it was like watching Guardiola's City team. The penalty (which wasn't) was awful.
Worst of all was Pearce's "commentary". I turned the sound off and it was far more enjoyable
I hate Pearce's commentating on any football match,i always put the game on mute when i'm watching a game hes commentating on.

Its the best signing Mowbray will do all summer.Great to see Johnson getting recognition for the work with the under 23s and moving up the ranks at the club.

My expectations will depend on what the squad looks like at the end of the transfer window,at the moment i cant see anything more than another mid table finish after flirting with a relegation battle.
-
2 quick goals for Villa plus Gayle sent off and missing 2nd leg, looks like Villa have this in the bag now.
-
i would have settled for mid table at the start of the season then pushing on next season. The position we were in at the end of Jan gave hope that playoffs were in reach but i think the squad we have are roughly in the position they should be in.We've now had a year to see who can handle playing in this league and hopefully Mowbray can now weed out the players not up to championship football and can get a few players in the help us kick on next season.

Good to see Accy 3-0 up against Argyle, Nice touch to give every Plymouth fan a free pint for making the trip.
They'll need more than 1 pint after the performance the team are giving.

I'm not ready to write him off yet after only 1 season but it does look like hes heading atm for the Grabbi category of forwards we've wasted money on down the years.
-
Nice to see Morecambe survive for another year in the football league.Jim Bentley does an amazing job there every year keeping them in the league.

See that Joey Barton is being investigated about assaulting the Barnsley manager. He's a one.
I'm surprised it took him nearly a full season to get into it with another teams manager, the guy's got a short fuse and will never change.

For the first time in a long time i'm enjoying watching England play, plenty of good young players coming through at the same time should make the next 5/10 years exiting as and England fan.Southgate just fell into the job as there was no one else out there that stood out to take the job but hes made the job look easy so far.

Dissing Vimto? invented by a Blackburn chap. Sacrilege on a Rovers forum, burn him
Nothing better than a Hot cup of Vimto on a cold winters night.

This is going to be a tough game,i'll settle for a 1-1 draw with no injuries.

I can see a team like West Ham making a last day bid for him, could do with those contract talks getting done in the next 24/48 hrs to ward people off making a bid.
-
Bolton 0-0 Reading with an hr gone, not the result either team wanted if it stays that way,
-
This BA talk has livened up a boring Sunday afternoon if nothing else, going to be an interesting few days ahead.

He's Definitely in my all time Rovers 11,Its not just his passing and shooting ability that made him great, also his knack of when we were winning and he was about to be subbed his knowingly moving to the other side of the pitch and taking his time to walk off.

Derby sign Ashley Cole, cant see him being that great these days at 38 years old.
-
i remember Mark Atkins display at Wembley in the play off final against Leicester, never the most skillful of players but he ran and ran for 90 mins that day in sweltering heat.

-
Maybe not worst individual display but Garry Flitcroft getting sent off 3 mins into his Rovers debut against Everton was probably the shortest.
-
Give him a run in the u23s, at least there he should be played in his proper position and getting a few goals will help his confidence,it also helps if a manager believes in you to give you confidence, look at the change in Rashford since OGS took over at Man U.
-
It's nice to be looking up the table again,i was getting worried we'd be getting dragged into the relegation scrap after the Sheff Utd game but they've turned things round since then and theres always one team that has a good run in the second half of the season and gets into the playoffs so no reason why we cant be that team this season.
Sam Gallagher Returns

i think Mowbray saw last season that at his age its getting harder for Graham to play 3 times in 7 days and with a lot of midweek games in this league we need a second forward to lead the line when Graham gets a rest,He doesnt seem to have confidence in Brereton to do it yet so Gallagher could turn out to be a good signing taking up the slack when Graham is done.
