At least I won't get shot but that might be less painful than what I'm about to see.
Got any transfer news? 😂

Weimann with the winner…immutable law of the ex etc
Surely cancelled out by the law of Nakhi Wells always scoring against us 😂

Wouldn't be at all surprised if we end up with Kargbo and the lad from St Jonhstone as the 'winger and striker', and that'll be all.
Gearing up for League One with those kinds of signings, which feels like one bad managerial appointment away once JE has had enough of the circus.

Good if Britain and Batth are available to play, but when you've got a midfield duo of Buckley and Forshaw I think you're on hiding to nothing.

I just don’t get why they can’t just put us up for sale, they have no interest , it baffles me
The question that I suspect we'll never get an answer to. They'll drive the club deeper and deeper into the ground before they're gone.

Positives about signing Kargbo IMO:
- It won't be a temporary loan deal of a raw premier league youngster, or a short term contract
- He appears to have a functional pair of legs, unlike Lieutenant Dan...I mean Adam Forshaw
- In the video at least he seems to not be too afraid to run at the opposition
That aside...pretty uninspiring and unlikely to be better than anything we already have in Dolan or ACD. He would at least hopefully be able to stay match fit unlike Sigurdsson.
If he's coming in as 'the' striker then that's concerning, but as a LW it's probably as good as its going to get.

This will be Rovers heaviest defeat of the season (so far). Bristol are pretty strong at home and we have a threadbare squad, if Pears, Brittain and Batth are all out for this one then that's at least 8 pretty much guaranteed starters out and we're essentially fielding a starting 11 that reeks of League Cup first round against a League Two side material.
Bristol City 4 - 1 Rovers. Nakhi Wells will score at least one of theirs. Gueye with a consolation for Rovers. We'll get massively overrun in midfield with Forshaw and Buckley likely to be the pairing.
I'd stick Hedges at right back if Brittain cant play, I know he's done LWB a few times. Doesn't really matter ultimately though, because this will be awful.

Yep, seriously.
The CEO of a professional football club with an E Mail address like that.
It tells you all you need to know.
Forget Waggott, its Suhail that needs to be targeted. Waggott is just a useless 'yes man' passenger.

At least 8 points needed from 18 matches. Taken 5 from the last 8 and the squad is decimated with reinforcements very unlikely to appear.
Well I did say 'probably'

On the plus side - at least we're probably not getting relegated this season 😂

Abysmal result, but unsurprising.
The sabotage that is going on at the club to undo all the great work JE has done up to this point is absolutely despicable.
Forshaw looking like the second coming of Danny Murphy.
Yet more injuries as well. When it rains it pours. Can't see anything other than them getting absolutely battered at Bristol on Saturday I'm afraid.

Looking at that bench, I'm not confident at all. Expect a loss with cracks starting to show in Eustaces presser after.
F*cking sign some player!
Injuries aside its an embarrassing bench for a side currently 5th in the league, and perfectly shows how well Eustace has done this season.
How anyone can think we only need a new winger and a striker this month is beyond me.

On a similar note, does Garrett's absence mean he is being loaned out again?
You'd have thought we'd have needed him at the moment.
Yep. Eustace said that he would be going back out on loan when asked by Andy Bayes in his pre match presser.

Interesting to see how Toth does, but other than that I suppose its as good as it gets considering the injuries and lack of squad depth.
Think Cov will win this one comfortably. Prove me wrong Rovers.

I would sign Brandon Thomas-Asante for £2m from Coventry, Tyler Goodrham for £1.5m from Oxford and Josh Wilson-Esbrand on loan from Man City
I'd be amazed if Rovers spent that much in transfer fees this month.

Malcolm Ebiowei is a player I could see us targeting, had his loan cut short at Oxford a couple of weeks ago since they only started him once.
Palace will be keen to get him playing and will probably let us have him with a low wage contribution, Waggott will be all over it.
Not sure if he's any good like... probably not considering he was out of favour at Oxford, but you know - cost saving etc.
Apparently has a terrible attitude. Doesn't appear to have pulled up any trees in any of his previous loan spells either, including one last season at Gueye's previous club in Belgium.

Is that Ohashi's Irish brother? 😁
I don't think it matters really. He's not much use
I think he's actually done pretty well all things considered. Came with no expectations, started the season really well and was unplayable against Bristol City at home...but he's not an out and out striker IMO, and would've benefitted more from playing in the number 10 role as he did in the home win against Luton where he did play well and got an assist for Beck's goal (I'm not counting Gueye's 'backheel' as an assist there). Also been good enough to get called up to the Japan national team, and they're not exactly minnows of international football.
Also worth pointing out that he had been playing non stop since January / February because that's when the J-League starts, so he hadn't actually had a close season break or anything before signing for Rovers.
In conclusion I think Ohashi is a good player in this team, but each to their own.1 hour ago, 47er said:So you don't know when he'll be back? So why bother?!!
I believe it was said he'd be back in about 3-4 weeks recently.

With names linked and the expectation of no surprises then I think we'll bring in that Kargbo. Low wages and won't cost too much. Just been watching quite a long reel on him. Make of it what you will but he certainly ticks the pace we need.
Augustus Kargbo looks decent in this video, but we'll probably end up with Augustus Gloop instead.

The concern is that there isnt much scope for a different line up. Id go JRC in midfield, ACD over Hedges, but neither of those convince me.
Agree on JRC, he is surely a better option than Forshaw, but its far from ideal.

yet we are 5th in the league.
With that starting 11 every week?
Appreciate that you are just suggesting a starting 11 for this game but there's no need to be condescending to others who disagree with your line-up.

How far is Travis off returning? .. I’d try a temp change of formation for next game , bring Sanderson in play 3 at back , push Brittain an Beck further forward , Buckley as Quarterback JRC providing legs in midfield Cantwell and Dolan supporting Gueye up front
Think it is roughly about 2 weeks now. If we're lucky he'll make the squad for the Preston game.

Feels like someone is getting sent off in the 2nd half. Real shame Gueye got booked so early, he's actually becoming quit a threat now.
Fingers crossed Rovers can kick on and grab another goal.
