  1. Positives about signing Kargbo IMO:

    • It won't be a temporary loan deal of a raw premier league youngster, or a short term contract
    • He appears to have a functional pair of legs, unlike Lieutenant Dan...I mean Adam Forshaw
    • In the video at least he seems to not be too afraid to run at the opposition

That aside...pretty uninspiring and unlikely to be better than anything we already have in Dolan or ACD. He would at least hopefully be able to stay match fit unlike Sigurdsson.

If he's coming in as 'the' striker then that's concerning, but as a LW it's probably as good as its going to get.

  2. This will be Rovers heaviest defeat of the season (so far). Bristol are pretty strong at home and we have a threadbare squad, if Pears, Brittain and Batth are all out for this one then that's at least 8 pretty much guaranteed starters out and we're essentially fielding a starting 11 that reeks of League Cup first round against a League Two side material.

Bristol City 4 - 1 Rovers. Nakhi Wells will score at least one of theirs. Gueye with a consolation for Rovers. We'll get massively overrun in midfield with Forshaw and Buckley likely to be the pairing.

I'd stick Hedges at right back if Brittain cant play, I know he's done LWB a few times. Doesn't really matter ultimately though, because this will be awful.

  3. Abysmal result, but unsurprising.

The sabotage that is going on at the club to undo all the great work JE has done up to this point is absolutely despicable.

Forshaw looking like the second coming of Danny Murphy.

Yet more injuries as well. When it rains it pours. Can't see anything other than them getting absolutely battered at Bristol on Saturday I'm afraid.

Looking at that bench, I'm not confident at all. Expect a loss with cracks starting to show in Eustaces presser after.

     F*cking sign some player!

Injuries aside its an embarrassing bench for a side currently 5th in the league, and perfectly shows how well Eustace has done this season.

How anyone can think we only need a new winger and a striker this month is beyond me.

Malcolm Ebiowei is a player I could see us targeting, had his loan cut short at Oxford a couple of weeks ago since they only started him once.

Palace will be keen to get him playing and will probably let us have him with a low wage contribution, Waggott will be all over it.

Not sure if he's any good like... probably not considering he was out of favour at Oxford, but you know - cost saving etc.

Apparently has a terrible attitude. Doesn't appear to have pulled up any trees in any of his previous loan spells either, including one last season at Gueye's previous club in Belgium.

Is that Ohashi's Irish brother? 😁

I don't think it matters really. He's not much use

I think he's actually done pretty well all things considered. Came with no expectations, started the season really well and was unplayable against Bristol City at home...but he's not an out and out striker IMO, and would've benefitted more from playing in the number 10 role as he did in the home win against Luton where he did play well and got an assist for Beck's goal (I'm not counting Gueye's 'backheel' as an assist there). Also been good enough to get called up to the Japan national team, and they're not exactly minnows of international football.

Also worth pointing out that he had been playing non stop since January / February because that's when the J-League starts, so he hadn't actually had a close season break or anything before signing for Rovers.

In conclusion I think Ohashi is a good player in this team, but each to their own.

So you don't know when he'll be back? So why bother?!!

I believe it was said he'd be back in about 3-4 weeks recently.

With names linked and the expectation of no surprises then I think we'll bring in that Kargbo. Low wages and won't cost too much. Just been watching quite a long reel on him. Make of it what you will but he certainly ticks the pace we need.

Augustus Kargbo looks decent in this video, but we'll probably end up with Augustus Gloop instead.

How far is Travis off returning? .. I’d try a temp change of formation for next game , bring Sanderson in play 3 at back , push Brittain an Beck further forward , Buckley as Quarterback JRC providing legs in midfield Cantwell and Dolan supporting Gueye up front

Think it is roughly about 2 weeks now. If we're lucky he'll make the squad for the Preston game.
