  1. No one wants to see young Wharton go, if a valuation is met then it would answer many of the questions we have asked for so long. Will the money be reinvested, will we be going for more experienced players, Is the recruitment department good enough, Are our management competent with the funds, Is the DOF and coach the best way to go. Will the sale effect how much venkys can put in and so on.

£20 million guaranteed for Wharton to just start the conversation. That can be up front or installments.

Any less and I think we are selling ourselves short. Personally not as bothered about a cut of his next deal, I'd rather have an extra 5-7.5 million guaranteed and 5-10% of his next deal as opposed to 30-40% of his next deal.

Big statement. The lad is only young and with inflation in say 4 years time he gets a move to a bigger club we are talking double his orignal fee if more. Need to think long term as well as short term

Not to bad a fee but would need to build in sell on fees for every move he makes thereafter. Heard Darren McAnthony, Pboro chairman discussing this for a few of players they have sold like Toney.

Despite that, don’t think Adam will fancy this particular move

If only we had competent management like that handling our deals. Negotiate for future as well as current position.

Sometimes the most obvious explanation is the correct one and I think it's a bit of a stretch to attribute this to anything other than the grossest incompetence. Does it look more or less fishy that we cocked up 2 deals? This and a relatively low value one?

Mind you IF the deals were deliberately sabotaged I don't think it would have come from the owners who would have had to ok the deals in the first place. More likely a certain penny pinching, cost cutting employee.

Swag worrying about his yearly bonus most probably

Similar to Telalovic, no real first team experience at a decent level.

We’re banking on JDT to work his magic and turn them into a championship player.

We need players who can make an impact immediately, or we’ll slowly fall down the table and into league one.

It does look that way at the moment but we can only judge once the first Gem is sold. They have told us the model, we are scraping the barrel ATM. Hopefully better quality arrives when the funds are there

Because Nixon had suggested it, and on the assumption we will get £5m when Raya moves permanently to Arsenal in the summer, Chaddy wanted to offer Brentford a substantial discount on the sell on clause by saying they could give us £3m if they paid us early in this window.

Aside from the fact we'd lose £2m, unless I've missed something, whilst it looks like Arsenal will make Raya permanent they're not obliged to do so, so if that happened Brentford would be paying us then Arsenal could back out of the permanent deal and they'd be out of pocket.

As if we could just afford to waive £2m at the moment as well.

Could it not be a loan against that fee we are due to get?

Absolutely shocking performance again. A weridly imbalanced side and the decision to go with Sigurdsson as a wing back and JRC as a right centre back is right up there with any of the weird Mowbray decisions. Another set piece conceded too.

Chrisene looks like a fish out of water too in the Chanpionship and our other signing cant even get off the bench.

The owners have stripped the squad down of any quality but serious questions should at a normal club be asked of the manager as this isnt acceptable.

Completely agree. Doesn't seem like he can balance the side. It's all about trying to outscore the opponents but we are doing neither. Results business and he has to go, And if that takes our transfer budget for this season then so be it. Because I have no confidence after his tactics today he is the man to take us forward with the limited budget he has.

  8. Dreadful game. Could of easily lost with the 2 chances they had. Change of system but still left gaping holes in the last quarter. In my opinion should of left the young lad on to cover for Pickering. Massive gamble changing him for Siggy which left the holes. Injuries didn't help but JDT needs some help massively in the defence department. His tactics are leaving them in the firing line
