Nixon says we are battling Millwall for cresswell. Also a permanent not loan…
Not in a bad way but At least he's trying to give us a bit of hope. He gets a lot of things right. Hopefully he can start getting our news on point

Just looking at Lewis Travis Instagram and the support from our players is unreal. Well liked player and respected captain, and some still argue there's no unrest in the team

JDT taught a lesson on the pitch and sidelines today. He's defeated, His presence on the sidelines was just like Mowbray 2 years ago. There wasn't any, stuck to his seat to keep his cheeks warm

At least they have a nice coach to travel on after all these losses

It doesn’t matter because it can’t change until the manager gets the tools to do his job
No excuse, He's lost the respect of his Captain, Looks as though he's lost the dressing room. His ideas are not working, can blame the tools as you say but those tools are good enough to be beating some of those teams we were beaten by. It's his job to motivate the team and by his facial expression on the bench it looks as though he can't motivate himself

Anyone calling for the manager out be careful because soon the pro Tomasson crew will appear and absolve him of all blame. Normally happens after full time.
Injuries, owners, the weather, conspiracy, referees, whatever the case we are lucky to have him apparently. He is fat too naive even getting dealt a poor hand you really want more and a smarter approach. Shit owners and a limited/naive manager aren't mutually exclusive. You can have both.
He will have a successful career no doubt but His methods aren't working for us. Seems too stubborn to change his ideas. How long should he get

JdT probably lucky we can't afford to sack him. He's not been backed I know but it's a results business and some of those teams we should be beating

If he was behind Gestede and Rhodes he wasn't one of the best strikers we had.
Those were the days where we played to our strengths. None of this throwing players forward with no end product and leaving us short at the back. Conway, cross, Goal.

Ennis signing was a shocking decision, Has had the longest pre mid season ever and still looks out of shape. Seen more mobility in a groundsman pushing the old pitch roller

20m and loaned back to us for rest of season then deal.
Would be the best deal available. Just don't trust swag with the money

Yeh, that's especially surprising, especially since Transfermarkt has data for where he played in 47 of his career appearances at all levels, and not a single one of them was at CM! (36 LB, 10 LM, 1 RM). That data won't be complete of course, they have him having played 63 games in all at club level (U18 and upwards), so there are 16 games missing there. But they'll likely be the games played at the highest levels he's played.
Of course, sometimes a player might switch position mid-game, so maybe he does move into CM mid-game sometimes and the stats won't record that. But if he was genuinely better there I'd expect at least some appearances purely at CM by now.
I knew about one serious injury last Jan (ligaments I think) during his spell at Kilmarnock which gave me a little concern, but it sounds like he has had more injury woes than just that.
Sounds as though he fits JDTs tactics to a T. Left back who can slot into midfield in the system. Might be a gem but personally was hoping for a plain old school left back that won't leave us exposed

Two refreshing aspects of the signings so far... the first has become more common in the last year or so, hearing nothing about a prospective signing until they've actually signed. And also, whilst they're only PL loans, we've become accustomed to hearing we can't get those in until Prem clubs make their minds up near the end of the window.
That said, the flipside might be these are two players the Prem clubs were 100% sure they'd have no need of, and therefore aren't as good as some of those who may become available later. But I suspect they were only intended as squad fillers here anyway.
Totally agree, left back will be cover and the Brighton lad I think will be useful. Still think we are going to sign at least two more experienced players

Jon mate we desperately relied on one player to pull us out the mire.
So yes got the job done comfortably in the end against lower opposition but the weaknesses remain for all to see, just way too easy to score against us for anybody.
A league one team with a terrible away record. There first goal was nice to be fair, The second, no one commanded the area well enough abit of pinball and we conceded. As the game went on we defended well. Hyam popping up underneath his own crossbar a few times to clear. Something Ayala was really good at. Still no faith in our no 1 at the moment. Looks shaken, Needs that one game where he dominates his box. Be braver, we all know keepers are well protected. Looks scared to get hurt for the cause

Don't know anything about the left back we've signed but he doesn't have to be a world beater. Be nice to be able to take Pickering off in the last 15-20 minutes of the game to try keep us solid. One of the problem areas has been targeted.

That would suggest that, as I have suspected, all is not well within the squad and maybe the players have stopped playing for the manager? It would explain a lot.
This fallout with Travis has got to be damaging the squad behind closed doors. Manager and captain should be the main vocal support any team needs. One has to go....

I assume Sheffield Wednesday have been quick to send him back knowing he's not going to be available for a couple of months. They need immediate bodies for their survival scrap and won't want to pay him to sit around for 2 months using up a squad space.
So we can do that instead.
This might cause additional problems. I believe his exit on loan was a prerequisite to us getting Hill and Moran in late on during the window and if that is correct there will need to be another outgoing to free up the cash for Buckley
There was a recall clause to call him back. They would of had to pay to break contract.

Great news Bucko is back, Around 30 days left to heal. That's another body for the back end of season

Just completely baffled to what direction the club is going. Senior management are not in agreement and instructions from pune are non existent. We need to sell to buy, we all know this. JDT making endless noises which he is in his right but rocking the apple cart (And so it should) us fans want the manager to ask questions but the way he is doing it will not get him what he wants. Can't see him signing a new contract, So there's only 18 months left unless sacked or /walks. If we were to receive a nice chunk in transfer fees by selling assets is it worth giving him the funds? Would that get him to sign on further or has the damage already been done. I find it funny how Siggy only signed on till the end of JDTs reign but that maybe myself looking too deep. Club captains in limbo, the problems go on. I like JDT but just can't see any positives in this situation

Too quick out the blocks, That tempo is not sustainable over 90 minutes. Similar to the game against Bristol city where we had it under control and puffed out around the hour Mark. Beautiful to watch at times, if only we can get that game management balance right. Telalovic again unlucky not to score but his link up play brought another dynamic to the game. I might get some stick for this but I feel we are only a few tweeks off something special.

Actually think there's a decent player in Brittain, just that he along with most of the back 4 are going through a bad patch. Hyam looks like he came back too soon, Hill hasnt been the same player for a while and Carter also been off. Ironic that Wharton who was awful himself a few months ago has been our best defender these last few weeks.
Wouldn't argue that full back is a position that should be a priority, even over a striker.
Second worst defense in the league says it all
Brittain is a good footballer. Just feel what he's being asked to do is above his level. Difference between this season and last is the inverted fullbacks. I understand it's a good way to create more chances. Just we are not outscoring the opponents
