They seem pretty untouchable but the best self preservation for them is being comfortable in this league, we need to spend now just to achieve that.

Waggot and Suhail 'winging it' has reached the end they'll have to actually demand the owners sanction some spending now otherwise the game is up.

what will be their undoing is their arrogance that loans and bargain basement signings will maintain our league status, this time it won`t work

  2. just watched the scottish cup semi final epic game that finished 3-3,aberdeen denied a penalty in the worst decision in the history of football, predictably celtic go on to win on penalties, incidentally the best player on the pitch was junior hoilett who gave the celtic full back an absolute horro afternoon

Not wanting to give the egg and that lot any credit but the few transfers we did make last summer (yes they were mainly trash) were all made under the radar with limited gossip. We must be signing some players this summer. We have to.

we know that we need players, but the guttersnipe running the club (management aside) are a bunch of incompetents and self serving w*****s,they`ll do whatever suits their own interest and preservation

If you take away Sam Szchmodics 30 goals this season in the Championship, Rovers would be well adrift at the bottom. Doesn't say much for the rest of the strike force this Season. Its crystal clear we're we need to spend in the Summer, providing we reach safety in the Championship.

we need to spend a lot this summer imo,4/5 players, new goalkeeper, left sided midfielder, centre midfielder and centre forward,we can`t keep selling our best players and surviving on crap loans and budget players,it will see us relegated next season, sammie is`nt likely to score 30 next season either ,providing we keep him

  5. we are in danger of making english football so top heavy financially with one division that it`ll end up like rugby union and rugby league, all the money going to the top and leaving nothing for anyone else, hence the state of english rugby, one pro division and the rest having to turn part time in order to survive,no relegation because the lower league sides could`nt afford to be competetive if they did get promoted, makes a terrible spectacle,i fear we are heading this way, though football being far more popular than rugby,it hopefully won`t happen

CI never thought that I would see empathy towards Legia Warsaw and Young Boys.

I get the argument about making the strong stronger, but I think the quality of the Champions League is stronger with a few teams from the top countries. The entertainment value has been brilliant from it in recent years, and I think that it would take away from that if it was only one of the Prem/La Liga/Serie A/Bundesliga etc in every season.

entertaining, really,i think it`s boring,a closed shop devoid of any unpredictability, uefa need to get their act together and just have one massive knock out, champions, second place and cup winners only and no seeding

thats just me being a fan and not a money counter,id`e like nothing better to see real madrid knocked out by panathanaikos or man city humbled by ifk gothenberg, like the good old days, steau bucharest for the cup😁

My prediction (and I’d love to be wrong, of course)- we’ll sell Szmodics and won’t buy anyone anywhere near the same quality, or enough in the areas that we need.

celtic interested in sammie, better off up there than playing for bloody luton, where he`ll most likely end up back in the championship, bang on with his replacement, either be a loan or a bargain basement purchase from god knows where

  8. broughton in the telegraph today, giving it the old spiel about the summer transfer window, give credit to the cupid stunt,he talks a good game,if he could do his job as well as he addresses the media he would be half useful, the comments section completely of the scale in the ludicrous stakes, they are obviously telegraph staff members writing uber positive spin about the club, probably on the order of swag/pasha

Perhaps Karamoko Dembele might finally be a serious consideration after being linked with him last summer. A solid 11 assists and would offer some genuine pace out wide that we've been lacking.

looks a lively player though you have to question why celtic let him go after only 8 games,he did **** all in the french 2nd division either ,id`e be looking to pick josh bowler up,either on loan or fee,he`s not going to make it at forest and they could be clearing their fringe players this summer

Talk about planning for next year is illogical - we simply don't know where we'll stand until late August and the resolution of that court case.  It's just about getting over the line imo.

This season has been a disaster - we've sold our crown jewel, we've run off our competent ambitious manager and we still don't know whether the owners can put a penny into the club to keep us running.

Survive then take a deep breath and brace ourselves for more horrendous news coming out of Ewood / Pune is my advice.

venkys continue to "fund" the club, that is horrendously, tragic news

venkys withdraw their support and "investment",that is paaarrtttyyyyyyyyy time

I don't get the people bemoaning them getting a 7k allocation. Yes Waggott is a cock regardless but a full Darwen end hasn't done too much harm this season, Newcastle arguably our best home performance? A full Elland Road didn't seem to give them much of an edge at weekend either. Just seems like another reason to moan.

more the fact he gave wednesday the whole stand then made it more difficult for the home fans to get a ticket, the prices are a farce as well for a crucial game,i don`t think he likes rovers fans at all

Wharton getting huge praise on sky. What an absolute crock we only got 18 million for him

in venkys list of crimes, this one is near the top, another season with us and we could have got another 10 million for him plus we could have sold him to one of the big clubs not  to crystal palace ffs

For England it's good we are producing number 6's now. Wharton and mainoo are both naturals in that position also there's alex scott

southgate won`t pick him,he`s to cavalier in his passing for gareth, who would rather have a henderson/phillips type, ward prowse, who is an absolute class act can`t get a sniff,so adam is well down the list

I don't buy the hoodwinked malarkey me. Surely if whoever signed up they did due diligence on how these parasites have worked for over 14 years and then signed with open eyes.

How stupid and naiive they are if they believed anything put out of a venkyrat mouth .

jdt was obviously told a porkie.he would`nt have come near the place without all the false promises of healthy budgets,i suspect it`s the same with eustace, only that he is`nt as outspoken as jdt and will just keep plodding on like mowbray, perfect for swag and the indians,i`ll be amazed if he gets any substancial transfer cash

I wouldn’t be surprised to see McFadzean take up some sort of behind the scenes role with Eustace. I noticed at the Southampton game that at half time he spoke to every one of the 11 on field players as they came off. I would assume that he is adopting some sort of role already, whether official or unofficial.

that would`nt be a bad move,he seems a driven and charismatic fellow

If the club retains either Fleck or Fadz ot just underlines the sheer lack of ambition, even though Fadz has come in and done a job for us.

But, we all know there is no ambition here, so just expect more cost cutting, sales with no reinvestment, cheap loans, promotion of youth, free transfers and a general downgrade of the playing squad.

harry leonard will be leading the line next season,i can`t see any other outcome other than the sell off of our remaining players of any value, coupled with broughton in charge of recruitment it`s a grim future,id`e be pleasantly surprised if any of the wharton and raya money reach eustace

You know what will happen in the summer. Pray that Broughton or whoever can find the new SS/BB/AA.

there is optimism and then completely blind faith😁,hopefully eustace brings in his own recruitment team and broughton, kimberley and the rest of the useless bunch get fired
