A bonkers decision. Do Rovers hierarchy ever ‘look outside of the box’?

If it is true that Waggott is going around telling random fans outside the ground that the manager's job is on the line, I would suggest that doing so is incredibly unprofessional.
I very much doubt that Mowbray's job is indeed on the line sadly, I suppose logic and Venkys dont go hand in hand but why would they sack him when we are 7th when they didn't at the end of a season when we finished 15th.
It is common knowledge in the Club that Tony is going at the end of this season.

They’re expecting Rothwell and Nyambe to sign but Lenihan has turned down a BIG offer and thinks he’ll get a Prem club…SW said anyone who hasn’t signed before Xmas will be sold and replacements are lined up plus pre contracts abroad and in Scotland.
I was told similar a few weeks ago. Nyambe and Rothwell want out (agent lead); Lenihan was expected to sign but in the last 6 weeks he has changed and wants out. Rovers are determined to let them go in January so we are able to get some income from them.

It’s about time EVERY fan stood back and realised what’s going on here.
losing millions every year, owners trying to sell STC off for housing, gates at their lowest for thirty years, unable to offer the better players new contracts etc, etc - and a manager who’s been here 5 years and just seen his team lose 0-7 at home just shrugging it off as a bad night and we have owners who have no idea what to do about it.
I don’t think this is too big of a reaction. The club is in a mess from top to bottom. It’s not good enough at any level. If nothing changes, rovers will go to the wall.
Spot on Den.
This is like watching a loved one suffering a slow lingering death.

Rothwell and Nyambe were a disgrace last night, clearly trying not to get injured for their big moves away. I would drop them both now as they do not deserve to wear the shirt.
I just saw this elsewhere-

When he did make cameos, he looked so poor though, he didn't warrant or justify more of a chance, especially with the Dack and Graham combination as you mention.
I don't like the idea that he got a hard time off the supporters though. Criticism in places like forums (and even on social media although you get a lot of real idiots on both sides of every argument there) is perfectly fine, in the ground he has never been given a hard time.
Birmingham away in the FA Cup, I saw him walk off in tears thanks to the abuse from the Rovers fans; probably done by some of the same people giving dogs abuse to Tyler at Blackpool.
Hang your heads in shame.

It's simple - think Mowbray has got a way with murder in empty stadiums. Now the fans are back, IMO, he can't handle the stick coming his and the team's way.
I did not hear much stick directed to TM yesterday after 2 dreadful back-to-back displays. As mentioned earlier one bloke near me tried to start a “Mowbray Out” chant; no one joined in and numerous fans told him to shut up.
Perhaps he should be nicknamed ‘Teflon Tony’. -

Magloire is a centre-back or he is nothing. Absolutely cruel to play him at right-back
I don’t blame Magloire. I blame TM and his bizarre team selections. Carter started the season at RB and he impressed me, surely he should have been in that role yesterday
A guy close to me tried to start a “Mowbray Out” chant. He was a lone voice and many around him told him to “shut it”!

Big shout to the clown who set the smoke bomb off on the train coming home too 🙄
Also the plank who let one off in the pub pre-match. One of the guys who let one off at the back of the stand was arrested; he may well get a banning order.

Maybe TM will have his hand forced and he will have to play Butterworth, I certainly hope so. I would love to know why he cannot presently get any match time.

BB has just had his 1 year contract extension triggered by Rovers.

Nyambe, Lenihan and Rothwell all off. Imagine taking Brereton out that team as well, and you have a glimpse in to our future.
Bit dramatic, but also kinda true.
Lenihan is going to sign a contract. The other two are off.

What a 2nd rate display. 2nd to every ball and outplayed.
Gally back to his donkey display and ringing Poveda on who has two left feet. What about Butterworth.

Should it not be outside where everyone can see it?
Did they ever change the policy whereby young fans who had purchased were to be left off it?
I believe it should be outside (like Liverpool) and yes the young fans should be included; if you pay your money you should be included. I just wish the club would revert the fans pavement to bricks around the outside walls of the ground, I have been to many grounds where the bricks are around the stadium and they look excellent (eg. Sunderland).

Information about the Rovers Fan Wall for those who bought season tickets for last season has just been sent out. It will be sited “ in the heart of the Jack Walker Stand”.
An excellent initiative from Rovers 👏👏

Standard pricing (Cat B.) for Coventry, so of course, no thinking out the box to try and capitalise on the start. And I doubt we’ll see much of said thoughts all season.
Yet, small mercies, at least it’s not an ‘A’ game… though still £27-£30 in the JW Upper.
Still too much for the town of Blackburn w Darwen. We want folk to turn up not price them out of it.

Maybe our new Head of Marketing will come up with some wizzo ideas and more importantly he is allowed to implement them.

Early days but by Christ what a depressing situation....

Very depressing. Our pricing strategy is a mess at both match day and ST level. We are still operating ST sales on the same basis as 30+ years ago; we need more flexibility, consideration of a 15 and 18 match ST for example, or an ongoing monthly direct debit membership that includes a ST.
Try thinking outside of the box Rovers.

But it adds absolutely nothing when absolutely no details whatsoever can be shared. Surely just update if and when the actual details can be shared, otherwise nothing possibly can be discussed.
Sorry but this MB has been 95%+ critical of the owners and management team and it is refreshing to hear that all may not seem as bad as it is portrayed and there is some positivity which I welcome. Sometimes you just have to trust people who say life at Rovers is looking better but they are not at liberty to give you the details. Surely we have had enough of it the other way round.
BTW I am not a Club ‘plant’ as I have been referred to in the past elsewhere on this MB 😂😂

Come from Hull City and has been in place since July according to what I have research about him. Seems to have a good CV from what I have read
We don't make these appointment public anymore.
It is a non football facing appointment. You would not normally press release such an appointment unless it was at CEO or Director level.

Well done to Fulham Football Club. I really enjoy hearing about this kind of thing which in my view is too much of a rarity in football.
Yes excellent from the Fulham players. Why some people are so cruel is beyond me 😡

Going down to yesterdays game on the bus I spoke to a bloke who I hadn't seen for a while and was never under the impression he was a Rovers fan. He told me he runs an under 7's team and as such they can buy ten tickets for £50, the only caveat being there has to be two adults in the group. I think this is a really good initiative that can perhaps kill two birds with one stone. Rovers are bringing in some income and hopefully some of the kids want to go again.
Is anybody else aware of this?
No, but what a good initiative and probably more effective than giving away tickets.
