If only some of our other players could learn from Dolan when it comes to drive. Never seen a player since Harrison Reed with so much sheer determination to go and win the ball back.
If we’re going to operate a high press, the players have to believe in it and execute it to the upmost of their ability.
It Just takes one player like Dolan to close the ball down so well and quickly for that start to rub off on other players it is infectious. The likes of Brereton and Arma should start to expect it from Dolan and be on the front foot and to get more opportunities.

We have played really well today but then we normally play well against the top teams. Wish we could show this enthusiasm agaisnt lesser opposition more consistently!

Nyambe my Rovers man of the match today. If he can trouble a defence like Leicester's no reason why he cant do similar or better against Championship opposition. Hopefully it had finally clicked for Ryan!

Good feet from JRC. Why was he ever playing full-back?
Because despite it not being his best postion he is still much better there than Bennett or Bell.

Great play from JRC! Unlucky!

Nyambe is looking threatening going forward! Never thought I would say that! What next a Bell goal? Johnson hitting the target? Brereton Hat trick ?

Magloire and JRC the high points here
Awaiting the Choudary Travis scrap
I think Travis also looks like he has got his swagger back. He had been quiet in pre-season so far.

Brereton has no idea how to close a player down. Gives Bell no help at all
Bell has no clue full stop!

Yes. Agree.
Of course people will point to injuries and omissions but it's not that unlikely for us to have a couple of players out.
The only consolation is there's still time to sort it but talk about giving yourself a mountain to climb - that's us. A week to go and still needing 4-5 key additions...
I would take 2 new players coming in before next week! But I bet we only get one!
-
Bell and Johnson nearly both got assists from Throw ins! ...... For Leicester! ??

My prediction a few days ago that we would sign a player by page 398 now looks optimistic!

We need faster carrier pigeons than the ones flying to India at the moment.
Pigeons? The Money does not stretch that far! Venkys use Chickens and there longest recorded flight is 300 metres so dont even reach Darwin! Like most of our transfer activity this summer we fall well short!

OK OK - I said I’d post, the Celtic player wasn’t the one we where told about. So let’s roll the dice and see what happens. If what we where told is true — and that comes with ifs and buts — we will announce another player imminently, who will play in the first team, is not a defender and is not British. If it isn’t announced soon I suspect we’ve been sold a duff, so I’ll tell you the name.
Not a defender ? ?.
Any idea of likely cost?
Is he already playing in England or currently playing abroad?

Ok We made our first cash signing just before 300 pages, How many pages before our second signing? I am going with 398!

He'll be the false 9 in this latest Mowbray experiment, and IMO won't be anywhere near as effective as he was arriving late in the box behind the striker.
Come on Mark dont be so sensible you know he has been Training up Elliot to be the false 9 and has been working on converting Dack to fill in at left back! #tonylogic #defendersarecoming #tumbleweed #nixonbitinthepaperaboutittomorrow

Double barrel name - do we get 2 players for the price of one?
Or one that can play in several positions like Joe Rankin-Costello.....

Anytime I see Brereton scoring and Rothwell assisting it gives me hope.
Bell scoring funnily enough still does not give me hope ?

I am neutral to Tony I think he did well to get us promoted and then to stabilise us as a decent mid-table side.
In league one for the 1st few games he tried to play free flowing football but it didnt work and we struggled at the start. He changed to a more direct style and got promoted.
He does frustrate me with his safety 1st approach and go with what he knows like persisting with strikers as wingers and often starting Bennett or bringing him on when there are much better options.
Give youth a chance like he did start to do last season and now in pre-season and dont throw Bennett on when they are better options.
Nyambe and JRC should be starting every game if fit. Buckley needs to play more. Dolan must make the bench for games and be given game time, give me a few starts and see how he gets on.
Only play Gallagher if you are going to play him as a striker or bring him on for the last 30 mins if you want to change things around. If nothing else he works hard and closes down players well and is a goal threat.
I know it looks unlikely but if we could get Tosin and Cunningham back on loan or similar standard and if Dack comes back to his best and with Arma firing and JRC, Nyambe and Buckley all continue there progression and Dolan continues his amazing start I see no reason why we cant make the playoffs.
Without signing a good centre back and left back we will be mid-table again.
