Those comments are exactly what I’m worried about! He cannot be dropped from the first team set up as soon as Gallagher and Dack are fit. We need a spark.

Agreed drop Bennett or and Williams from the sqaud!

I know some will say we will lack cover if we get an injury but JRC can switch to pretty much anywhere on the park. On the rare occasion we do have an injury we could have Travis and Johnson do a job to see out a game.

Not ideal I know but can they do mucy worse than Bennett and Del?

Yep, I was mainly Puma, TS, although I did have a pair of Adidas much later on. Arbitro and EiT May remember this but there was a very decent player in our year at SMC, Charlie Fairclough (think he supported the Clarettes). Anyway he had a pair of Adidas 2000 and I think he was the only lad with a pair of boots that good. It was 1969-70. We were all very envious. Think his family must have had a bit of brass because his dad had a cine camera and filmed our 7-7 draw with QEGS that season. ?

These are the 1st boots I remember, loved them!

Even playing wide, he doesn't play as a traditional winger.

He still gets into the box a lot and should be getting chances to shoot/finish.

As Tyrone says, when do you see him go for goal from outside the box, like Armstrong does?

He is a different type of player to Arma though. Would like to see Ben have 5 games in a row as a centre forward if he is not playing well and not scoring and assisting then drop him.

He is clearly lacking in confidence from not scoring but since lockdown he has bulked up, is stronger, his hold up play has improved and is more confident. It was a shame he missed the penalty at Fleetwood a year ago I dont think he would have even had the confidence to take it. Whilst it was not a great penalty, it was a good safe and could have just as easily have gone in.

I think no matter what he does in future he'll never be a prolific goalscorer because he doesn't have what top goalscorers have. He can run with the ball to no great effect and that's about it. When did he last have a shot at goal from any sort of distance ? Has he ever had a shot at goal from outside the box ? His game seems to be running with the ball and then falling over to get us a free kick around the box.

But he never gets a chance at playing as a centre forward and play 90 mins yet we expect him to score goals on a regular basis?

44 appearances across  2 years for BB. He has had an opportunity. How long do we risk playing a weakened XI by including him just to try and hope he can repay that ridiculous transfer fee.

When you have Armstrong and Gallagger, then Dack to return and hopefully Chapman geting a chance, its hard to see how Brereton gets game time once the season is in full swing.

Getting Graham and Samuel out the door helps mowbray justify finding him a place on the bench.

However at some point Mowbray will have to accept what he has done, rather than picking a player who simply isnt.up to it just to try and justify that fee.

The problem is the squad has.so many problems that a 3rd choice striker isnt priority, and there appears to be no rumblings.from the academy with regards to strikers.

How many of those as a centre forward?

    How many did he start?

How many of those did he play the whole 90 mins?

He's got to be one of the worst finishers in the league.

You only need to compare the finishing ability of Armstrong, Dack and Graham from our own squad (Graham obviously no longer here) against him and he is no where near their level.

Playing him out wide won't help, that's fair enough but he doesn't look like a goalscorer at all.

He looked better and sharper and stronger since lockdown but he has hardly played Centre forward. He is lacking in confidence but his dribbling, link up play and strength has improved I really think if he was to get a goal or two early on he would become more confident and be off to the races.

I really think he could come good with a bit of luck and a run of games as Centre forward. Of course this would need us to play with 2 centre forwards because Arma is the 1st name on the team sheet.

Dont think this has been posted. Apologies if it has. A video of Kaminski. Appreciate that it offers little value because it is his best parts so there is no perspective of overall reliability.

Seems to be a very dramatic goalkeeper in terms of loving a camera save, occasionally spilling it back into the danger zone. Also a few penalty saves in there. For quite a few years, I have never really been confident in our keepers saving penalties. Hopefully that could change now.

Loved that looks very good! As you say a little worrying that he often parrys into danger but some great saves there, he looks like he spreads his body well for one on ones and will be a sweeper keeper and his distribution is quick and looks for the atttacker! Arma is going to love him! Looks very promising going on that vid!

People sniffing glue on twitter, seem to think BB will get 10-12 goals.

One bloke even seems to believe he has 20+ goals (in a season, not career) in him.

The thing is regardless of opinons we will never know unless he plays him as a centre forward and not a winger or a false 9!

If we lose Armstrong or Dack to injury it leaves us relying on Gallagher, Brereton, Vale and Butterworth as our primary goal threats.

It's not like we have midfielders who can chip in with goals. When you play players in their actual positions in midfield it gives us 14 goals total last season. If as I said we lose Dack and Armstrong. We have 8 goals upfront last season.

    25 goals. Madness.

My main concern is if we lose Dack and Armstrong. Where do our goals come from?

Holtby chipped in with a few when he played the Dack role last season. Potentially Rothwell best postion and would expect to him to score a few in The Dack role.
