Great goal. Douglas and Ayala mess up partly due to them not playing together regularly. That's being kind to two professional defenders and leaders though....

Surely we will be more adventurous and get a goal or two in the second half 

I will be watching today's game. It'll be my 2nd, with my first being against PNE. Almost the strongest first 11 that we could select and we've had a weeks rest, so I'm hoping for a comfortable 2-0 win. 

I played at a decent youth level, but never at an academy. I was playing for 3 youth teams at one point before I left to study abroad. Highest level I've played at in Germany is the 7th league (where money starts to play a role). The best team on paper that I ever played for was made up mostly of U19 bundesliga players. About half are currently playing in the 4th division (where you play but also have a part time job), but a couple are playing in the 2nd league now.  One of them scored 5 goals in a game once, but it was in the 8th league... Still gets double figures per season though.

The best team that I ever played for had a great young manager who got us promoted from the 8th to the 6th league, and almost the 5th. Lots of tactics and video analysis, but you almost felt like you were a cog in a machine. Completely different to the environment I grew up in. I left before the last promotion as I was getting older and was no where near good enough to have a starting position in this league!

Great times and memories. 

Edit: Personal highlights would be winning a play off final in front of 800 fans and playing against Hannover's version of Jamie Vardy, Hendrik Weydandt. Although I didnt know that he would go on to play for Hannover at the time

Quite enjoying this so far :-). Think Elliot and maybe Chapman coming on towards the end will kill it off. See what the first 10 mins of the second half brings

My first game watching on ifollow today. Hoping for an eventful game and of course a rovers win. Looking forward to seeing how we actually play instead of just watching 2 mins of highlights.

I don't know too much about these players, I guess some others on this board do ? It just seems like they are not getting any game time at their clubs.

Baba used to be great for Augsburg before Chelsea paid a lot of money for him. I had to check what he's been up to since and he's been loaned out a lot but hardly played. Guessing lots of injuries

I saw that someone mentioned the ex hannover full back Miiko Albornoz. As a player he would not be an improvement on what we have. Was hannover's weak leak in one of the worst defences they have had since I moved to Hannover. He likes to hold onto the ball and dribble his way out of trouble. 60% of the time it works....

I'm assuming if Kaminski can prove that he hasn't left his 'bubble' and returned negative tests then he should be allowed to join a new 'bubble'

Holger Badstuber has just been told by Stuttgart that he is free to leave. 31 years old, had injuries but now seems fit. Centre back, but can also play left back or even defensive midfield. Very experienced with Bayern and Germany. Wouldn't be a bad choice

There are quite a few German clubs interested in him. Hamburg (2nd division- did a Nottingham Forest at the end of the season and somehow didn't get promoted) and Union Berlin (1st division not wealthy) Berlin may only want him if they sell one of their strikers though. He almost single handedly saved his team from relegation last season and the article says he's weighing up his options. Price seems to be around €3-5 million and his team need to plug a €4 million corona-induced hole in their finances so would be willing to sell. 

And the quotes were lifted from the Karlsruher local paper which I've never heard of... so I have no idea if it's a reliable paper or not.

Zieler almost gone to Cologne on an initial loan. Apparently they are only paying half his €600 000 per year wage!

Little update from yesterday. Now been confirmed that Zieler and Marvin Bakalorz, plus Felipe (old defender) and Prib (current captain, midfielder) will train with the hannover reserve team and will leave the club. I would take Zieler and maybe Prib

He played regularly during the first half of the season when Hannover were just above the relegation zone. 2nd half hannover shot up the table and he didn't play much. Just checked the local news and there's still a chance that he will stay. They were focusing of keeping hold of Hendrik Weydandt first. He's Germany's answer to Vardy

Nope not yet. If I hear something I will post it. But he can't/won't stay as 2nd choice and he's been to England before.... just putting 2 and 2 together.

He is a very good keeper, especially at championship level. Played for Germany and even won the world cup.

Waldemar Anton has joined Stuttgart from Hannover 96. He's been mentioned here last year I think - I've seen him a few times but not the greatest fan. He was the captain of the worst defence Hannover has had since I've been living in Hannover. I still think Ron robert Zieler (ex Man utd and Leicester) will end up at rovers. Hannover have just bought his replacement....

I haven't heard where he will end up, but Hannover 96 are going to let Ron-Robert Zieler go at the end of the season. I wouldn't be surprised if we are interested in him. Also a world cup winner!
