  1. Apart from Evans I'm not one for slagging off any Rovers player. Neither am I one for commenting on match day threads but is it just me who thinks somethings not right with Armstrong?

I've seen previous posters mention his body language and having seen most games since the Fleetwood friendly I tend to agree that somethings not right with him.

He just looks totally pissed off most of the time.

    Wonder what's up?

  2. I've watched the last 3 games without any problems. Paid my dues via Rovers official website then watched the games on my tablet here in Sweden. No codes to input, no buffering and a perfect picture. Just a few annoying ads appearing now and again.

    Shame about the results though!

Derek Statham was a class act at left back, bags of pace, liked a tackle and he was decent going forward. I liked him a lot.

I always regarded him as a better left back than Kenny Sansom who seemed to be ever present for England at the time. I'm sure Derek got the chance to play for England. I can't be bothered to look tbh.... But I hope he did.

I remember that game from TV, West Brom were awesome. Cunningham and Regis put Utd to the sword. I think a Manchester lad I remember playing against as a kid, Len Cantello, played for West Brom that day in central midfield..

That was a brilliant WBA side and that nights game was dubbed the "game of the century".

Alongside Len Cantello was a young Bryan Robson. Tony Bomber Brown up front with Regis (RIP). Derek Statham at Left back and Brendon Batson at right back IIRC.

I'll have to admit, before I was introduced to seeing Rovers by my new neighbours in 81/82 I was only ever interested in West Broms results. Mainly because it was the first football strip I ever received for Christmas at aged 5. Why my parents bought it me ill never know!

That day BTW when Albion won 5-3 at old Trafford I was on the turf watching Burnley play either Cardiff or Newcastle I think. Funny how things work out.

T find out about ifollow go on the main Rovers site and select ifollow from the menu then look up subscriptions where you have options to choose from.

A couple of weeks ago on this thread I was complaining bitterly about problems with ifollow and not being able to view live games or replays on my PC. After much angst  I downloaded the app and can now watch on smart phone which was really quite good but I prefer to watch on my big screen tv via an hdmi (I think) cable from my computer.

Ifollow have now sorted the problem  (and I checked with a replay) so its back to the big screen for me.

    Thank you very much.

I've now signed up and paid without problems. Just hope I can watch the match through Rovers official website.

What's this app you downloaded please.?

  6. OK tech Dino here. No idea whatsoever regarding I follow.

Im currently living in Sweden and would love to watch tomorrow's game. Has any bms got an idiot proof way of how I can possibly view the Cardiff City game.

Im OK to pay... I just want a quality picture I can cast to my TV. My eyes are too knackered to view on my phone or tablet.

    Thanks in advance.

Got to be looking at beating teams like Derby if we have any aspirations. Hardly a single player of theirs I'd swap for ours.

"got to be beating teams like Derby"

Not having a go at you but I hate that anology. Last season I was quite upbeat at the prospect of a win there given our form. But God! What a non event that turned out to be.

I'll be happy with a point there tbh, preferably without conceding. Oh! For the days we should be beating teams like Liverpool ???

  8. Hello chaps, mods etc.

I've been a lurker for a long time but have been a Rovers supporter for longer so I decided to give this forum a go.

Rossendale based, first game if I can remember correctly v sheff Wed league Cup 1980/81/82. Brotherston booted the penalty over the Blackburn end!

66 league grounds to my name thanks to my rovers supporting friends here in the valley.

Now based in Sweden and I'm sorry to say that my last visit to Ewood was a 1-1 draw with Villa.

I'll admit also, that I was in attendance the night we were relegated from the prem v Wigan. Sticks in my mind as my father passed away the same night at BRI.

As you can probably tell I'm a bit worse for wear, some Swedish beers hit the spot so to speak but good luck to the blues tomorrow.

Im not one to get involved in the transfer thread... Jesus wept!  Sweden bores me enough!

Reet I'm of to me pit.

BTW Swedish football is shit. Halmstad bk I follow here... Bloody better pitches walking down from the Manxman!
