Was literally just commenting this - I think we'll only need more than one CB if we lose Ayala.

With Wharton and Davies as our main pair we should be fine with Ayala (or a replacement if he goes), Carter and Phillips as backups.

Carlo Holse looks like a good'en from the clips i've seen, and scout reports suggest he's a talent. He's currently playing for Rosenberg and making peanuts even compared to what we could offer, contract expires in 2024 mind so they might want a few million.

I hope they're (as expected) really scouring the Scandi' leagues in the background, there are some great prospects over there who'd probably jump at the chance to play under JDT, whilst receiving a decent pay bump too.

If he signs a contract extension I agree, but there's no chance he's gonna do that.

£20m will massively help us on the FFP side of things, and I like to imagine at least some of that will be made available to reinvest in the squad.

The money is of way more value to us than keeping him whilst he runs down his contract, plus he could revert back to plain old Brereton anytime.

Apparently we're interested in taking Tim Iroegbunam on loan from Aston Villa.

Quite a promising young CM apparently, already worth ~2.25m according to Transfermarkt.

We'll always lose out on our top targets if another top-half club joins the race, we just can't compete in terms of wages.

Very disappointed about Ahmedhodzic, bags of potential from what i've seen and could be worth well over £20m this time next year.
