What an exciting summer its been so far Rudy and Pasha...
- 3 random foreigners in for peanuts with no experience or pedigree on low wages
- 5 first team championship experienced starters out plus all loanees saving a fortune in wages.
- No contracts sorted for any of our 1st team
- Sacked the CEO and made a load of backroom staff redundant
- Sacked off the women's team
You are doing a fantastic job keep up the good work! Pretty soon we will have a cost budget to compete with Chorley FC and you can bask in the praise from our chicken overlords.
The amount of money they're making and saving at the expense of the squad is insane... even managed to get £750k for our last gaffer ffs.
The Venky's must be absolutely delighted.

Article;
Blackburn Rovers' deal to sign midfielder Moussa Baradji has stalled, with discussions ongoing between all parties, The Lancashire Telegraph understands.
Rovers flew the 24-year-old into Lancashire on Wednesday and was preparing for medical testing later that day.
Everything was moving towards a formal announcement, alongside Ryan Alebiosu, who was unveiled on Wednesday night. However, the Baradji deal has not proven to be as straightforward.
Discussions are ongoing between Rovers, Swiss club Yverdon Sport FC and Baradji to get the move back on track. It's understood that those talks will likely drag on over the weekend and there will be no announcement before Saturday's game against Accrington Stanley.
The delay means it's possible Rovers fans will not get official confirmation of their club's fourth summer signing until next week.
It's not known whether the issue is between the two clubs or whether there is an issue with personal terms. All agreements appeared to be in place as of Wednesday morning.
It is not wholly uncommon for these issues to arise with so much complexity in contracts in modern football. However, this latest development will no doubt bring some anxiety to Rovers fans.
Rovers did at least confirm Alebiosu last night and once he has international clearance, he will join his team-mate. The chances of him featuring at Accrington this weekend are slim considering he hasn't even trained yet.
In all likelihood, the friendly with Everton next weekend will be the first opportunity. Hopefully, Baradji will be a done deal by then and can also feature.

I think it would probably the other way.
Alebiosu seemed to play right midfield for all his games for St Mirren last season according to transfermarkt
Yeah you could be right actually Mark, will be an interesting watch!

Whilst most of us probably have no idea about the quality of the players signed (could be just as easily be Ohashi's, or Telalovic's). They do all seem to have pace, strength, height, and the ability to drive forward with the ball, all things which Rovers have been missing for a while
Hopefully at least a couple of them turn out to be gems
I have a feeling Alebiosu is going to really surprise us, as Beck did last season.
Definitely think we'll see Brittain being tried further up with the new lad behind.

Am I the only one who thinks Tronstad and Travis are solid but limited championship players who at soon to be aged 30 and 28 respectively aren’t worth offering circa 20k a week for 3 years that they will most certainly get else where?
Yes. Right now they are 2 of our best players, both absolutely vital members of the squad who deserve to be paid the going rate.
I don't care about how much money the board want to save on wages, we need proven players on the pitch. These cost-cuts are unsustainable, we'll probably find ourselves in League One before long.

Anyone able to link Jackson's latest report? As I'm hitting restrictions
Blackburn Rovers remain interested in Marwan Al-Sahafi but a deal to sign the forward has not been agreed yet, The Lancashire Telegraph understands.
Dion De Neve and Sidnei Tavares are Valerien Ismael's two new additions this summer and Rovers are keen to bolster his squad further. A left-sided centre-back has been a priority position the recruitment team have been working on but they also need to add in forward areas.
The LT reported last month that Al-Sahafi was one of several wide players on their shortlist this summer. However, reports that a deal was advanced at that point were wide of the mark.
Speculation has ramped up once again after the 21-year-old posted an image on social media showing he was in Manchester over the weekend. However, it's understood that, at the time of writing, a deal hasn't been formally agreed between the two clubs.
Rovers remain interested in a move for Al-Sahafi but the situation is complicated by Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad, who own him. There has been speculation around the future of Laurent Blanc, their first-team head coach. Until there is clarity around their management team, it's unlikely any transfer, permanent or loan, will be sanctioned.
Should that change, and things can move quickly in football, Rovers would be keen to try and reach an agreement. Adding pace and athleticism on the flanks has been a target all summer.
The 21-year-old scored six goals in 25 appearances on loan at Beerschot last season. Rovers have taken a keen interest in the Belgian Pro League in recent seasons after the capture of Makhtar Gueye and De Neve.
Ismael has spoken about the importance of his wide players having intensity and running power. That was a key driver in the signing of De Neve and Al-Sahafi's stats show similar qualities.
If Rovers did secure another overseas recruit, it would be their third of the summer. The club are not exclusively looking outside of the UK but clearly, that is where they feel they can maximise their transfer budget at the moment.
Legia Warsaw's Steve Kapuadi remains their top target at left-centre-back though they were linked with a move for Stockport County's Ethan Pye over the weekend. He is also left-footed and fits the profile they are trying to recruit for in defence.

Issue is; If Derby offer even a semi-decent amount of cash for Brittain - the muppets running the Club will snatch their hand off without hesitation.
Doesn't matter if it's below his actual market value, or the fact that it'll massively weaken the squad... it'll be considered a win regardless, since it'll delay the owners having to pay their own bills and help lower the wages.
Venkys and Suhail... fuck off.

Jake Batty signs a 1 year deal, with the option of another year...
Horrific, sounds like something a normal Club would offer to a 36 year old.
Tight bastards, they really are skimping in every way possible. If you don't laugh you'll cry 😅

Fascinating how there still hasn't been any movement on the contracts of Travis, Tronstad or Brittain...
Don't get me wrong, i'm not surprised in the slightest - but it just never ceases to amaze me how badly run our once great Club is. We really are a basket case of the absolute highest order.

Yes but if we know the selling Club are after double what we're offering for players, then we've little or no chance of succeeding we're just tyre kicking.
Yup! Classic Venky's Rovers... trying to make it look like they're trying by tabling stupid lowball offers that they know will be rejected.

In other news... we've also had a £10m bid rejected for Cole Palmer.Love the ambition, they're trying their little best! Seems like the selling Clubs are just being greedy.

Nobody is paying £2m for Pears.
6 Figures I would think.
No chance, could easily get over £1m from a Championship Club for him.
Then if Man Utd (or any other PL Club) still want him as their 4th choice, double it.

Couldn't help but notice that Pears is conspicuously missing from all the new GK kit marketing. Their latest X post even features one of the younger goalies (Michalski I think) alongside Toth.
Couple that with Toth being touted as next season's #1... pretty much confirms that Pears will be sold this window!
Should be a cool little £1m-2m in the
transfer kittyVenky's pockets.-

Looks like we are finally waking up with regards to Travis and Tronstads contracts.
The article however, certainly feels like its written to soften the blow of Travis departure.
I suspect the club will try and cash in on him, whilst he still has some value to cover some the financial hole they have created.
The article suggests there's a semi-decent chance Brittain signs, and perhaps a small chance Tronstad will too? However, I personally wouldn't bet a single penny on that happening.
The more likely scenario is that the muppets running the place will let it drag on and on, then (if anything) low-ball them, talks come to a hold... inevitably, they'll end up getting snapped up by a normal Club with a bit of ambition.
Travis, I personally don't think there's even a slight chance that he stays. He'll be sold this window to the first bidder... gonna be gutted!
The tough reality is that the Club don't really want to keep them, certainly not on higher wages for multiple years. They'd much sooner cash in on all 3, bring in cheaper alternatives (probably free agents/loans on miniscule wages), then pocket the c. £8m from their transfer fees... the Venky's will be delighted.

This cracked me up.
"We're very happy with your client, Balazs Toth, so much so that he will be our number one next season... anyway, this is how much we want for him."
Honestly, this Club...

Just something the club told him to make it look like something is happening.
I imagine we might have enquired, certainly don't think it was anywhere near "advanced talks" though.
Rudy: Hello! We’re interest in your fine defender, Modibo Sagnan.
Montpellier: Ah yes, Modibo! Solid player. Are you looking to make an offer?
Rudy: We are indeed! So... can we have him?
Montpellier: Of course, if the price is right! What are you thinking?
Rudy: Here’s the twist - what if, and hear me out... you just give him to us?
Montpellier: What? Like... for free?
Rudy: Think of the wage savings! The changing room space...
Montpellier: Yeah okay no. Not gonna happen, goodbye.
Rudy: Wait wait wait!
Montpellier: *deep sigh* What now?
Rudy: I was joking! Classic Rudy, right? Let’s get serious - it’s time to advance with this.
Montpellier: Oh hahaha, you sneaky little rascal. Alright, alright - let’s talk!
Rudy: Hahaha... perfect. Now tell me this: Do you... like Pringles?-

Can't imagine this team right now would finish any higher than 12th next season - but as we all know, this team is about to change massively...
There are so many variables, but for Rovers recruitment is everything for the next few months.
Can't see a scenario where we'll be anywhere near the top, simply based on the other teams and their finances/ambitions;
- You've got Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton coming down with squads that could already dominate this league - but they'll also each have buckets of cash.
- Then you've whoever doesn't win the playoffs - 3 of Sheff Utd, Sunderland, Coventry and Bristol City.
- To top it off... you've then got Birmingham and Wrexham coming up with solid squads already (particularly Brum) but then they've also got shit loads of disposable cash and massive pull in the market. I genuinely expect Birmingham to spend loads and be challenging at the very top.
In my opinion, we'll be nowhere near it!
